**** RGIII let's lose out and be in position to get the guy who went toe to toe with Andrew Luck.

NO USC QB's:

See: Mark Sanchez
Matt Cassel
Matt Leinart

It's the age difference :)

It would be pretty funny if we do get Barkley though. Part of the fan base will freak out because it's not a linemen and another part will freak out because it's a USC QB.

Mr_Tomahawk 11-17-2011 09:38 PM

Last time I checked, Andrew Luck doesn't play on defense.

I guess Aaron Rogers sucks since Kyle Boller was a bust. Peyton Manning is no good since Heath Shuler was a mistake.

I blame it on Ensure.

ILChief 11-17-2011 09:44 PM

I dont think we'll pick high enough to get Barkley. We are looking at Landry jones as the best qb available. I think they'll end up with someone like Tannehill or Foles in round 2

JoeyChuckles 11-17-2011 09:57 PM

I don't think Barkley has the physical tools RG3 has.

I know there's more to QBing then that but after seeing several years now of noodle armed Chief QBs, I'm ready to see some elite talent.

Palmer was pretty damn good before his knee got shattered. Also Barkley isn't surrounded with the amount of talent other USC QB's had, so what he does is more or a credit to him. I'd be happy with him or RGIII. I'll shove a cucumber up my anal canal if we draft Jones and I'm an OU fanboy.

I'm pretty "meh" about Barkley. Like I said before, I'll be happy that the Chiefs are at least trying to get a QB but I think Barkley is the second coming of Joe Flacco.

A playoff caliber QB that has his team on the brink of a SB year after year? I'll take it.

I don't want one of these guys but that's what we're probably faced with. These guys are no better than a prospect like Stanzi. I want someone highly touted finally.

O.city 11-18-2011 07:39 PM

If we go 4-12 which is very likely we might be in a spot to draft Barkley.

If he comes out. Striking range for Luck as well if Indy gives in to Redneck.

ToxSocks 11-18-2011 07:47 PM

Who has a worse QB situation than us? INDY doesn't count since they still have Manning. Neither do the Broncos now that they have the second coming of Christ.

Miami....

uh......

Seattle
Washington

That's it.

So we're competing with Miami, Seattle and Washington.....2 of those teams are likely to finish with a better record than us....leaves Only Miami to compete with.....

O.city 11-18-2011 07:48 PM

Barkley is for sure coming out. No way he goes Matt Leinhart just to go back for a year and try and win a NC or Heisman. He might tho I guess, but if the Chiefs were in a spot that he knew they were going to draft him, I'd think he would come out.

Kansas City would be a pretty good spot for a young qb. Given we draft some depth and Charles and MO come back.

Bowser 11-18-2011 07:49 PM

No interest in Kellen Moore? All he does is win!

"We" is a touchy word when talking about this subject. I'm starting think "we" is only us fans, not the Chiefs. I'm starting to think they don't think Cassel is a problem.

I don't have to imagine. Read the thread where they passed on Sanchez by trading for ole Ass Cattle. Of course Sanchez sucks now, but there was quite a meltdown by the Draft Masterbaters

O.city 11-18-2011 08:00 PM

HOnestly, I think people would be less pissed if they did draft the guy and he busted completely than not drafting him.

At least they would have tried. Personally, I didn't meltdown on here, but I had steam coming out of my ears when I first heard about the Cassel trade.

Heck, I think there is still shit on the field from his last couple of playoff games against the Steelers.

O.city 11-18-2011 08:08 PM

I just wanna see what Stanzi has right now. Some of the vids I've watched and his preseason games, he's looked pretty good. Seems to have a strong arm and is pretty accurate.

It's eval time for the Chiefs. See what you've got in some guys and cut losses.

I think Landry Jones is going to be a bust.

But if they drafted him and he busted, I'd be less pissed about that than I would about them passing on a QB in the first round, indicating they still believe in Cassel.

Just try.

Even if you get it wrong, I want to see you just try.

O.city 11-18-2011 08:18 PM

What do you think about Barkley Milkman?

Titty Meat 11-18-2011 08:19 PM

I say we pick no higher than 6-7. There should be no reason we can't trade up assuming the team picking 2 is either St.Louis, Jacksonville, Cleveland (maybe), Minnesota, or Carolina.

O.city 11-18-2011 08:20 PM

I'm hoping Hunt really pushes the draft and develop a qb this offseason. Drafting a qb in the first round gives franchises hope, which leads to more money. Especially coming off this injury plagued, shitty qb play season.

O.city 11-18-2011 08:22 PM

I think Minnesota wins 2 more this year. Cleveland already has won 3 so hopefully they can win 2 more. Carolina will surely win a few more games. I think STL will win more simply being in the NFC west.

I think 4-12 puts us around 3 or 4 in the draft simply because there are alot of shitty teams that will beat up on other more shitty teams.

I like Barkley.

I don't think the chasm between he and Luck is as wide as most everyone else does.

I also like Foles and Ryan Lindley in the second round.

I haven't seen RGIII or Tannehill so I can't comment on them.

I agree.

When I watch him play a live game I see a bust.

But then you watch his highlight reel and look at his incredible numbers and you can't help but to be tempted.

I just know ima be flip flopping all offseason, so don't argue with me about it. (Not directed at you Milk, just CP in general, lol)

I'll rephrase, if we take Luck, Barkley, or RGIII I will buy into the Chief way and buy season tickets.

Hell I'll go farther.

If Matt Cassel isn't the starting qb for the Chiefs next year, I'll buy season tickets.

This.

Especially if Stanzi catches fire and we follow that up with taking a first round quarterback.

That would mean really good times are on the horizon, one way or another.
