Orton

What can Orton be with the weapons the Chiefs will put around him next year? He's had a couple of decent years in Denver, but didn't have the talent we have and was sacked a ton

Mr. Laz 12-03-2011 04:05 PM

Orton only has 6 more games on his contract, he probably won't be here next year.

the Talking Can 12-03-2011 04:06 PM

he can be another waste of time...something this franchise and it fans seem to love

FD 12-03-2011 04:07 PM

Orton stinks and he always has.

ralittleus 12-03-2011 04:09 PM

so you rather have him or Cassel?

BoneKrusher 12-03-2011 04:10 PM

havent seen Orton throw a pass as a Chief yet but i'd rather see him here next year than Cassel.

he can at least throw a pass beyond 8 yards.

Deberg_1990 12-03-2011 04:11 PM

A fresh topic. Nice!

I would rather have Orton missing his arms and legs than Cassel.

LMAO

KcFanInGA 12-03-2011 04:13 PM

Next year? I want to see Orton play this week! I think with our recieving core he can do some damage to opposing defenses. Certainly he will be an improvement over Cassel, stats be damned. If he is here next year with Jamaal healthy and our recieving core, I think he can get the job done.

Royal Fanatic 12-03-2011 04:13 PM

It should be obvious to everyone that there's no way in hell Orton will choose to sign a new contract with the Chiefs. He'll be a free agent, and he didn't want to come here in the first place.

If the Chiefs hadn't claimed Orton, he'd either be playing for the first-place Cowboys or STARTING for the first-place Bears. Instead, he is riding the bench on a team that will go 4-12, and the Chiefs are starting Tyler ****ing Palko instead of Orton. Why the **** would Orton come back here next year when he can go to any other team?

ralittleus 12-03-2011 04:15 PM

we have some legit weapons that would be appealing

This^
**** Palko.

ralittleus 12-03-2011 04:20 PM

I would love to see him play this week and can't understand starting Palko again!!

And why are you dreaming this dream? It's not like Orton is a good quarterback. The Broncos WAIVED him in favor of Tim Freaking Tebow.

but Tebow has a 5-1 record as a starter.
Palko has 5 ints 0 tds as a starter after two weeks.

plus Denver traded away Brandon Marshall, who was Orton supposed to throw to at the beginning of this season?

Raising the level of play around here to the Chiefs goal of never ending mediocrity, of course.

Can't wait til we're a consistent 9-7, 10-6, ass kicked in the first round of playoffs, team again.

It'll be grand.

milkman 12-03-2011 04:53 PM

Every one here should be grateful to the Hunts for their commitment to mediocrity.

Orton was not part of their future. That is why he was waived. They wanted to move forward with Tebow, not because he's a better passer. Fox COMPLETELY changed the offense to suit Tim.

LMAO

that's all we'll ever have as Chiefs fans, i've decided to accept it over jumping on the latest bandwagon.

BigMeatballDave 12-03-2011 04:58 PM

Orton could be good with this group of receivers.

Unfortunately, good doesn't win SBs.

exactly but the Hunts aren't gonna change.
it's been 40 plus years of other teams castoffs as our Starting QB.

Yep. Wherever an NFL team moves on from a QB, the Chiefs will be there to pick up the pieces. I can't wait until the Cards dump Kolb.

I wonder if Orton and Cassel are paired up in the mountain lion buddy-system. Here kitty kitty.

There is some team in that division that is pretty decent this year, isn't there?

Two ****ing posts a year, thousands of posts about this very same topic, and this is what you choose to start a thread about?

Let Cassel and palco walk, draft a QB in round one, and sign Orton to a one year deal.

Is it safe or a good thing for the Chiefs to play a QB who didn't want to play for the Chiefs but did want to play for the Bears.... to play his first game for the Chiefs against the Bears?
