Any health updates for Siler, Moeaki, Berry, and Charles?
:harumph:
I've heard nothing on how the surgeries or rehab are going for any of our players who are on IR from the beginning of the season. Has there been any news or updates? It's like these guys have been forgotten |
Hmmm, good question. I haven't heard anything myself, but it's not like the Chiefs organization, is a wealth of free flowing public information.
|
How about Orton?

Hopping on 1 leg.
|
Damn, I forgot all about Siler
|
Charles said on the twitter that he was off crutches and feeling no pain in his knee a few weeks ago.

so can he play? hobbling charles > the dog turd combo of Battle, McShitster and Jones |
The Mrs saw Moeaki and some of the other WRs & TEs at Ft Leavenworth yesterday. She said he wasn't on crutches or anything.

The OP forgot the most important person on the team, Matt Cassel.

They usually arent on crunches very from ACL tears, their problem is they cant make any cuts or lateral movement
|
And what about sean payton? When's he ditching the cripple sticks if charles already has? I just cant respect a coach hobbling around on crutches. It's like wiess in his scooty puff jr, you just can't feel it.
|
will they ever come bak momma ....
|
Well....at least maybe they got a volume discount from the surgeon.
|
Berry tweeted right after surgery stating how it went perfectly.
|
Haley has been sending assassins to their homes for months now, just another reason he should be fired.

Meh, if you look at that list, the rbs have significant dropoffs in yards because most got alot less carries.
It's crazy the technological advances in medicine. Charles might not return back to pre injury form, he may very well. We will just have to wait and see. |
I honestly think Jamaal has a better chance than most of these other guys due to a couple factors.
1. The timing of the injury gives him nearly an entire year to rehab. 2. Medical advances. |
Arkansas had a rb tear his ACL in the spring game this year and be back by week 6. I'd say that's not the norm by any means.
By the time these guys get to the NFL i'd say 25 or 30 percent of them have had pretty significant injuiries. |
I had a friend tell me, with these technological advances everyone speaks of (what are these 'advances' anyway? No one ever goes in depth when they mention them), that some guys come back FASTER after an ACL injury. I did some reading and didn't read anything about that, but apparently ACLs deal more with change of direction and lateral movement than straight-line speed so I suppose one could come back faster, but not have the same change of direction ability...

What was Peterson's injury when he was still in college at Oklahoma wasn't it?
|
I think Petersons was a shoulder. Could be wrong tho.
|
And the advances arent really in the surgery just in the rehab and the healing process.
They all three need to be given massive doses of HGH. |
Given the fact that Charles relies on speed and shifty i'd say he's the most likely to struggle coming back.
|
I think a good example of someone to look at when thinking of Charles return is Welker. He seems to be doing alright.

It's unclear whether Orton can grip a football after dislocating his right index finger on his only snap last week. Tyler Palko is expected to start again. |
Good.
|
Decisions like having Palko on the roster is why I wouldn't mind Haley getting fired. People blame Pioli for forcing Cassel on Haley, well, what about Palko? No excuses.
