How did 2011 treat you?

Which AFC quarterback best reflects your year?

Poll to follow.

Fitzpatrick - Started off promising, then sucked a big ol' chilli dog. Just like Fitz tho, I'm hoping that the year ends on a high note.

Crap. I want to nuke 2011 and hope to never see another year like it. I'm hoping for some improvement in 2012.

Lonewolf Ed 12-23-2011 12:20 PM

2011 started off hideously then I had a few good times in the spring and summer, then in autumn it turned sour and then another hideous event happened in November and my holiday spirit is gone. I won't be sorry to see this year go, and I may well piss on the ground outside at midnight on New Years Eve to properly send 2011 on its way.

I have no idea which quarterback mirrors my year.

DMAC 12-23-2011 12:22 PM

Year was much like Janikowski actually. I went to work just so I could leave and drink.

Bearcat 12-23-2011 12:31 PM

I might have to go NFC and say Matt Ryan... got off to a rough start despite high expectations, but things steadily improved and overall it's been a solid year.

Jawshco 12-23-2011 12:37 PM

Ug... This year was one of the worst ever for me. There were a lot of tragic deaths among my friends and family. I don't think I've been to so many funerals in my life. In fact, I've got another one right after Christmas. Then my company restructured and I had to fire some of my employees who I was really liked and didn't deserve to be let go. And without them my job is now pretty insane. I've been pretty broke and have more health problems than I've ever had before for most of the year, and to top it off- a tornado destroyed a good portion of my home town. I pray 2012 is far better.

So, yeah... Phillip Rivers, unfortunately

Gonzo 12-23-2011 12:45 PM

2nd shittiest year of my life, really. Things are shitty but hey, shit happens. Shittily.

2011 rode me like a rented mule.

suzzer99 12-23-2011 12:47 PM

One of the better years of my life. Got a lot of stuff right in my head, making good money at a place I love to work.

I totally agree.

Bugeater 12-23-2011 12:50 PM

Eh, I've had worse years. My family and I have been healthy and we have all the necessities of life so I suppose I can't complain too much.

Sure you can. In fact, at your age, it's required.

:)

Rasputin 12-23-2011 12:59 PM

I picked Andy Dalton. Had a good year with some turbulence along the way with few set backs but it's all working out now for me and my arrow is pointing up for next year.

Actually I feel better and am doing better today than I have done in years. So I am a happy guy. Last year was down and out with back pain and surgery was necessary to get me upright and have been doing much better now with not so much pain.

Am very thankful to be where I am at with a nice home and my daughter living with me. It's a wonderful life after all.

LiveSteam 12-23-2011 01:46 PM

I murdered at least 120 squirrels. So its one of the best years of my life.
& I only ran out of marijuana once.

seclark 12-23-2011 01:57 PM

I've had good times, met cool people, cruised around, cranked some tunes.

boogblaster 12-23-2011 02:06 PM

Orton for me....not really good, not really bad, but looking up. Just got a small raise at work, going on a cruise with the Mrs for our 25th anniversary in a couple of weeks, and expecting our third grandbaby in a couple of months

rageeumr 12-23-2011 02:15 PM

Matt Sanchez. People got my name wrong all year.

rageeumr 12-23-2011 02:19 PM

I actually voted Orton. I'm in construction and at the beginning of this year my boss told me he was going to lighten my project management load to give me more time to go out and try to sell work. It's not exactly a great time to be starting in sales, but I have landed a couple of pretty decent projects in the last couple of months.

ShortRoundChief 12-23-2011 02:36 PM

It had it's ups and had it's downs like any other year. At the end of it all I"m thankful for what I got.

cdcox 12-23-2011 02:54 PM

Pretty good year. A few bumps in the road, but not bad.

In April we had a very bad hail storm that totaled our car. We kept the same model, but went from a 2003 to a low mileage 2008 and a couple years of car payments.

In June the wife and I vacationed in Cancun this year. Niiiice.

In July my daughter got word that she passed her GED. July also included a trip back to the midwest to see family. My daughter and I went on a weekend camping trip.

August was a banner month. It included the public launch of Sandbox Simulations, right here on CP. That was the most exciting moment of the year for me. In August I got my best raise in 21 years. August also included a trip to Nashville to see Steely Dan. Great weekend to celebrate my 50th.

In October I got a big promotion at work.

In November we had our accreditation review, that I was leading. It went well.

In November, my daughter got her first job and this month she got her drivers licence. These are big strides for her.

November and December have brought a lot of stress from work, most of it associated with the new promotion. Hopefully I'll get things calmed down in 1st Q 2012.

In October our TV died, in November it was the washer, and in December the sewer line needed replacement and now apparently the dishwasher is leaking. Getting modern technology on the TV and appliances is nice, but the new sewer line seems pretty much like the old one and was an undesirable expense. Front yard is trashed.

2011 can kiss my ass. Worse year since mom died. Die in a aid tree fire.

Buck 12-23-2011 07:39 PM

The highlight of my year was dating the hottest and most intelligent girl I know. The lowlight is being unemployed.

I went with Matt Moore.

Discuss Thrower 12-23-2011 07:40 PM

Went with Gabbert, started the year off with expectations of baller status and getting laid by many women after I dumped my girlfriend. Well I dumped the girl friend and haven't been laid since 2010. Oops.

Hammock Parties 12-23-2011 07:47 PM

Amazing that my year coincided with the Kyle Orton choice.

Hammock Parties 12-23-2011 07:48 PM

Peyton Manning – I didn’t accomplish anything myself, but other people made me look fantastic.

Who chose this? LMAO

I'm one of them. I did squat this year. Didn't accomplish anything, but somehow came out more or less golden.

Caseyguyrr 12-23-2011 11:28 PM

ehhh sat at home mostly, but not sitting in jail so its a win in my book

Mosbonian 12-23-2011 11:57 PM

Mine's been so bad that Spott forwarded me the sympathy card he got from Philip Rivers because he thought I had it worse than him.

This f****** year can end and never show it's face again.

RealSNR 12-24-2011 12:04 AM

This year sucked for me, my family, and everything I touched

BillSelfsTrophycase 12-24-2011 12:05 AM

Could be worse, but if there is a God, he/she has one nasty sense of humor
