Good hire. There are too many teams looking for coaches this offseason and there isn't much proven worth out there.

This team will play defense for Romeo.

What is more detrimental is QB/OC.

Do you know who those four players are?

Bigger ? Who the **** are they gonna hire to run this offense.

This is the most neutral I've felt about a head coach hire.

I'm more concerned with who will be on this Staff. Without a good OC who can manage our QB situation, we can expect more of the train-wreck we experienced in '11.

I'm alright with Romeo, but I don't like the idea of hiring an old man who won't be in the league in 5 years as the HC of a building team.

He seems like a nice guy, he puts together some nice defenses, but we'll be right back to a new coach and starting over again with no chance of long term cohesive planning and team building.

Players Coach = Frenzy of positivity (and probably wins) for about a season and a half w/ no playoff wins...and then Romeo starts looking like Wade Phillips on the sidelines with little phrase-bubbles above his head, wondering where his diet coke is...

Clark will then find a new GM and we'll start over. Temporary success that I'm sure we'll have next year is completely nullified by the trajectory of where this is heading. The only thing that can change it is a bold-ass move for a QB that's shocking and unprecedented for this franchise.

Seems like Clark make some comments just two or three years ago about wanting stability in the organization. I guess we get that for the next two or three years. Not sure beyond that since Crennel is likely to retire or die or, based on previous head coaching tenure, just plain suck. Oh, well. I suppose it will be nice to win the weak-sauce AFC West for the next year or two.

Man cassel is gonna get 2 coaches fired and a GM and some of you think he cant do anything.

I would say this team is pretty much built. Like every team, there are weaknesses...ours just so happens to be at the QB position.

If he can find someone to solve the QB problem...we have a good football team.

This team sure has a lot of question marks. Besides OC, DC and coaching staff, which unlike the player positions, will certainly get answered:

We've been through so many OCs, I would think the best thing for the offense would be to have the same system for once.

The problem was the talent on the O. Not the system.

Yeah, it is what is. Hopefully it works out differently this time than it did the last two times they did this.

This "crackwhore sister" team of ours, just does not seem to learn after making the same mistakes. They keep hoping for different results.

With one exception, Carl spent a first round pick on Todd Blackledge.

So since they reached into a barrel full of tits with him, and pulled out a dick, they will never draft a first round QB again.

i'm amazed pioli thinks Crennel will save his job...but he thinks Cassel is a franchise QB, so guess I shouldn't be surprised...

i like crennel and think he's a great DC, feels like we've taken him away from the thing he does well and are now forcing him to do the thing he doesn't do well...net loss
