Team A shot 22.9 threes per game. Shot 37 percent from deep. Had six different guys make 30 or more threes during the year. Finished regular season 22-10.


Team B shot 22.1 threes per game. Shot 35 percent from deep. Had five different guys make 35 or more threes during the year. Finished regular season 22-9.


Team C shot 23.0 threes per game. Shot 38 percent from deep. Had four different guys make 50 or more threes during the year. Currently 21-8

Team A= 2011 VCU (11 seed–made Final 4). Team B= 2011 Butler (8 seed–made Finals) Team C= 2012 Iowa State.

Sig bet they dont even make the sweet 16.

I have to go with Wichita State... even though they are going to be almost too hyped as a cinderella pick, I think. That team is really talented though.

Wichita State is playing as good as anyone in the country right now. Calling them a Cinderella might not do them justice, they are playing some very good basketball right now.

True but most of the country will see them as Cinderalla imo when they take the tourney by storm. I'd rather KU not play them in the tourney.

Teams that take a lot of 3s have a chance to get hot and beat superior teams in the tournament because of it. So yeah, Iowa State fits the mould of those previous teams. It doesn't mean they'll get hot, though. In fact, chances are they won't.

Wichita State is no Cinderella in my mind. They're very good and I expect them to do well.

I think Mizzou has a decent shot at going on a dream ride to the second round.

Or just play defense. That's the amazing thing about Butler's run. Those were absolutely not two of Butler's best offensive teams over the last decade. In fact they weren't that good offensively really... they just played great, great defense.

I'm not predicting a Cinderella, but don't sleep on the MWC teams making it this year. All 3 teams have Sweet 16 potential and I wouldn't be surprised if one got to the elite eight.

WSU really shouldnt be considered a Cinderella team, they will prolly be a 4 or 5 seed. I considered a Cinderella a double digit non bcs team.
