Will you attend a Chiefs game this season?

Inquiring minds want to know.

Simply Red 03-11-2012 08:35 PM

I think you know how i feel.

Reerun_KC 03-11-2012 08:37 PM

Depends if KU has a game on the same weekend. Along with Free Tickets... I will not pay to watch the Chiefs...

I wouldn't go even if I got free tickets.

Mr_Tomahawk 03-11-2012 08:38 PM

Depends on whether or not Cassel is starting...

lewdog 03-11-2012 08:39 PM

I will only pay for internet so that I can illegally stream every game.

Bugeater 03-11-2012 08:40 PM

Too early to decide for sure, but I'm strongly leaning towards no.

I will not spend any of my money on anything Chiefs related if Cassel is starting.

tredadda 03-11-2012 08:41 PM

I live over 12 hours away in Ft Collins, Co. so my answer is no unless I somehow get tickets to the Chiefs game in Denver.

Bane 03-11-2012 08:42 PM

I usually go to 2-3 games a year but strongly considering saying **** it this year.

TEX 03-11-2012 08:49 PM

Nope

smittysbar 03-11-2012 09:02 PM

I'm out

Lzen 03-11-2012 09:03 PM

If Cassel is still the starting QB, absolutely not!

Molitoth 03-11-2012 09:06 PM

With Manning out, I'm selling off my season tix asap.

corandval 03-11-2012 09:07 PM

No

BigMeatballDave 03-11-2012 09:09 PM

No, but then I am 600 miles away.

Rasputin 03-11-2012 09:09 PM

Not if Casshole or Orton are starting.

patteeu 03-11-2012 09:17 PM

Technically, I guess I'm undecided because I don't have any specific plans, but I'll probably end up going to one or two games like I usually do.

mikeyis4dcats. 03-11-2012 09:19 PM

doubtful, we gave up our season tickets

CanadianChief 03-11-2012 09:25 PM

I voted no only because I'm 13 hours away and in a different country.

okcchief 03-11-2012 09:28 PM

Pretty much feel the same as most. If Cassel is the starter this team gets none of my money. I'll watch them on TV and I'll root for them but I won't support the product financially.

Right now the Thunder gets all my money. I love the Chiefs but if they are going to let their roster go to waste because they want to prove they are right about one guy then **** em.

The jury is out on the Royals. I'll go see some games in the fall if they are winning and add some pieces to really compete.

Okie_Apparition 03-11-2012 09:29 PM

I have to sell the cornnuts

Titty Meat 03-11-2012 09:29 PM

Nope. I turned down free tickets a few times last year. The last game I went to was the home opener vs San Diego and Cassel threw for 68 yards.

Crush 03-11-2012 09:29 PM

No, because I can watch Cassel shit himself in the comfort of my own home.

Al Bundy 03-11-2012 09:30 PM

I will see them play in Tampa... as a Tampa fan.

R8RFAN 03-11-2012 09:31 PM

I voted no because... Well you know

BryanBusby 03-11-2012 09:32 PM

I'll probably attend the game against Carolina if tickets are cheap enough. Even if the Chiefs blow, I'll get to see Cam Cam it up in person.

Canofbier 03-11-2012 09:33 PM

No, but more due to poor location and the cost. I'll still follow them this year, despite the frustrations.

Not if Cassel is starting.

O.city 03-11-2012 09:34 PM

If someone lays some free tickets on me, or they have a prime time game where I can go all drunk fest, maybe.

Oh Snap 03-11-2012 09:38 PM

only if I come across free tickets. I'm not spending money on the parking and ticket prices along with the ungodly high food and drink beverages. Thats throwing good money on a bad investment until proven otherwise.

Bearcat 03-11-2012 09:40 PM

Before Manning - No
With Manning - Definitely.
No Manning - No.

Last year, for the first time in a decade, I paid for a bunch of games up front... and after the first few weeks I dumped the tickets and decided I wouldn't spend another dime until after they proved they were a serious contender. Manning would have been an exception, of course.... it's a QB league, and I'd pay to watch him live. I don't know how STHs do it... I've gone to maybe 2-3 games every year for the past several years, and I'm done. Couldn't imagine spending over a grand/year to see one or two decent-good games each season.

|Zach| 03-11-2012 09:43 PM

Probably not. But this Manning thing hasn't swung me at all.

But that is hard to say. I can't predict how exciting I would be if they did sign him...maybe it would get me pumped for the season? As it is I am not more or less likely to go based on recent happenings. Which is bad because im not likely to go.

That and after the game experience and great ownership relationship Sporting Kansas City has with its fans the contrast makes Chiefs games even worse.

Munson 03-11-2012 09:48 PM

I only plan on attending one game.......when they visit the San Diego Chargers.

Extra Point 03-11-2012 09:53 PM

Poll fail. No slot for "Sure, if they're free or cheap."

Well if the fan is at home there will be no one at the games and they will be blacked out. So if that happens no one will be able to see them anyway.

Oh Snap 03-11-2012 10:12 PM

Dunno why everyone is on Mannings nuts. He could be shit for all we know. How do we even know that he is capable of playing at a high level after missing 1.5 years with a srs neck injury? How well would he play in a new style of offense? Everyone is assuming we would be getting the Peyton of old. Right now, he could be a broke dick QB for all we know.

Phobia 03-11-2012 10:12 PM

I've only paid face or over about 10% of the time I've gone to games and that isn't going to change. Half the fun for me is tailgating in the lot. I'm happy to show up and then go home to watch it.

Buck 03-11-2012 10:17 PM

Yes. I'm splitting Chargers Season Tickets with a friend and the Chiefs was one of the games I demanded, just in case any other CP'ers go so I can meet them.

58kcfan89 03-12-2012 01:50 AM

I said after that dumpster fire against Buffalo in Week 1 that I wasn't spending any money on the team until Cassel's gone.

Then this whole Manning fiasco happened. And it looks like the reason he doesn't want to even visit is because of the way Pioli runs the joint. I may have to amend that & say I'm not spending money until Pioli's gone...

I'll give SP until after the draft to find a legitimate upgrade at QB (Henne, Orton, Campbell don't count. Legitimate = chance at Super Bowl). If he hasn't done it by then, the Chiefs aren't getting a dime from me until Pioli & Cassel are both gone. Seeing as how he's been here for 3+ years, I think that's more than fair.

Discuss Thrower 03-12-2012 01:51 AM

If I move to Minnesota.. then probably not..

FlaChief58 03-12-2012 04:24 AM

I was really looking forwadr to seeing them in Tampa this year but, if Cashole is the QB, I'll watch at home.

MMXcalibur 03-12-2012 04:33 AM

Yes, I make at least one pilgrimage to Arrowhead a season and then take in the Chiefs/Donkeys game at Pile High. This season will be no different...regardless of whatever bullshit happens between now and opening day.

This is me as well. I go down from Omaha once a year, it's more about the event and the tailgating for me. A chance for me and one of my buddies to do our thing. There's usually enough rum to mitigate any pain that the Chiefs might cause me.

If Cassel is starting though...there might not be enough rum.

Old Dog 03-12-2012 07:17 AM

Gave up the season tickets this year and I won't spend another nickel on the franchise until they show a commitment to winning.

Shox 03-12-2012 07:22 AM

I will be there for most games. Can't wait til the home opener.

Bowser 03-12-2012 07:30 AM

I'm willing to bet a lot of the no tunes will change with the team likely to do better with Charles, Moeaki and Berry coming back, even if Cassel is at QB... and should Cassel actually play better too... well then. Win a few games and people will get excited again even if they don't figure we can make a deep playoff run. People are too addicted to football to leave it be because they don't like the QB, especially if we're playing well at all.

It's the whole "annonymous" feel. Kind of like cussing out the dumbass driver in front of you, because you feel invincible in your big, safe car.

Definitely. I wouldn't be calling these freakshow crybabies "emotional" if I didn't feel invincibly anonymous. ;)

The Franchise 03-12-2012 08:38 AM

Not only will I not be going to any games this season......but I won't be buying NFL Sunday Ticket either.

Gonzo 03-12-2012 08:45 AM

I've said it several times since the team marched Palko out there, I won't spend another dime on this team until some serious improvements are made.
I can tell you one thing for damn sure, if Cassel marches out there and actually plays good football, (and that's a big if) I'll reinvest with them.
However, if they march the same dipshit Cassel out there that throws game-ending picks on screen plays, I'll spend my Sundays elsewhere.
