So how are the Cards in the Manning hunt?

Just talked to a reliable source in KC -- the Chiefs aren't out of it either. Productive meetings between KC and Peyton's people. Retweeted by Patrick Allen |
Look at all that money Clark won't spend. It's a shame we couldn't fit Carr under the cap. What a joke.

****ing Denver.

Cool 32 mil and we'll sign guys like Louis Castillo and some Patriots castoffs.

The Bengals could make some noise with all that money. They seem to have a young QB who is developing pretty quickly. It'll be interesting to see how they turn out this year.

Joey Porter counts for another 5 million for Arizona.
8+ for Adrian Wilson. Fwiw, Id give some good coin to Wilson if he was interested in coming to the Kansas City Piolis. |

Chiefs: $32.5 million under. is much, much lower than 63 million under....I don't see why he wouldn't make that comment. |
Okie Apparition: I want them to work out a deal with Osi. He has one year remaining on his contract. hate to hear him whine again this summer. Osi was a big part in helping the defense get back on track.
Mike Shanahan and Bruce Allen has done a better job of managing the cap than putting a team together. I remain skeptical about two quarterbacks selected in the top five are both future franchise quarterbacks. One yes - but two? |

Osi seems to be a likely candidate to get shipped the **** out of town if the Giants can get a decent offer on him. That will stop his endless whining and the Giants will be fine since Tuck and JPP are on the roster.
They are about due to start injecting youth in certain areas, so the extra picks would help them a lot. |
how the hell do the broncs have more salary cap space than us?!?

One thing I know for sure -- The Giants will be drafting more defensive ends in this year's draft. :D "You can't have too many defensive ends..." /Giants organization :D |

You know that extra 100 million dollars the Hunts announced they were paying towards the end of the remodel? They've gotten every dollar of that back already at like 30-40 million per year IN ADDITION to there normal profit. They raked in the millions because of the lockout stuff. |

If they decide to go for more of a fill needs thing, they will be looking at offensive line. They need to get a better option at Right Tackle, and David Baas is just subpar so center wouldn't hurt either. Right Tackle for sure though, as a duo of McKenzie/Andrews basically amounts to a dumpster fire. They could also take a look at RB since I'm not convinced that Bradshaw can handle the load as a feature back. |

This team can afford any of the top tier FA's this year so unless the team is a cluster**** we should see some big time players come here. |

I've said this before, but I'm really surprised the Bucs aren't in on Manning. I know they have Freeman and all, but it's a new regime... they play in Florida, tough division for sure, but they've got money to blow.

I wish someone like Cuban would buy us and keep us in KC of course. I want an owner that is serious about winning a Super Bowl. Please just sell the team Clark. Maybe we can get a Bob Kraft situation where a STH ends up buying us and go from there.

We're !@#$ing skinflints in KC and somehow the Broncos have a full 1/3 more cap space than we do? Do you not have anyone like McGahee or maybe a couple of linemen that need to be re-signed? How the hell can Denver be sitting on that much money? The Chiefs, for all they are not (i.e. 'successful') have at least done a good job of being frugal. There's next to no wasted money on our cap, except for the insane cap figures of Jackson and Dorsey. Is it that simple? Does Denver just not have 2 superfluous lineman taking up $25 million in cap space and that's how they're able to blow everyone away here? Tyson Jackson strikes again... |

It almost has to be Jackson and Dorsey. Lord that's a lot of money to throw at 5-techs... |

No more 5-tech's in the first 5 picks, m'kay? Can we stop doing that now? And the hell of it is that those contracts are going to form the baseline for their 2nd deals. The only way we bring either of them back without having to work from those deals is to let them go in FA and negotiation in an open market. When they realize that they're rookie deals were insanely inflated, they may come to the table with a reasonable offer. |
We should trade Dorsey, trade back in the draft and select Brockers or Poe ~20.
|
I'm surprised they can't get Dorsey to restructure. I couldn't see him pulling anywhere near 8 mil a year on the free market.

If you're Dorsey and you know they aren't going to cut you outright, why would you re-structure? Play out your deal, test the market and then if you can't do better, come back to the Chiefs. If I'm the agent of most of high pick rookies that signed under the old system, I hold firm on that contract as my starting point and then I test the market. Some team will be dumb enough to bite. Some team is always dumb enough to bite. |
