Odd thought on Cassel

I just thought it was funny that no matter what the thread is about someone finds some legit way to take a stab at Cassel. I think it is hilarious we are all going out of our way to shit on him....

grandllamajr 03-22-2012 02:12 PM

Also I am not supporting Cassel in anyway I honest to god think its funny.

Rain Man 03-22-2012 02:14 PM

Cassel is a nerf quarterback.

Chiefs Pantalones 03-22-2012 02:15 PM

If I knew what he drove I'd poop on his car the next time I'm in KC.

The Franchise 03-22-2012 02:16 PM

Peyton Manning

RealSNR 03-22-2012 02:16 PM

Cassel represents the tragic Pierrot character in the classic commedia del'arte sense. He's a clown, reviled by the world, and what he desires more than anything is shitting on him, so he shits on the world. It's a comedic formula that goes back for centuries in the Western tradition. It's probably why we all take such great pleasure in bitch slapping him.

Fish 03-22-2012 02:17 PM

Cassel sucks.

Just went hand and hand with starting a Casshole thread.Don't take it personal.

grandllamajr 03-22-2012 02:36 PM

I just thought I would give everyone a single thread to hate on him, that way we can look back and smile at a later date.

durtyrute 03-22-2012 02:39 PM

Sometimes I feel bad for him. He didn't ask to be brought here. I'm sure he would much rather wash Tom Brady's sweaty nuts after a game than start here and be criticized for every breath he takes. I'm sure he knows he sucks, but he was forced into this position by Pioli not of his own doing.

I still don't want him on the team, but I don't really blame him for being the shit that he is.

loochy 03-22-2012 02:40 PM

Cassel is a pooptaco

grandllamajr 03-22-2012 02:40 PM

I think/hope most of the hate comes from his performance on the field and not his personal life. But knowing the planet I am probably wrong.

Yeah, I feel bad about how's he's villainized (and I'm doing it too). I'm sure he would like nothing better than to be wildly successful, and he's giving it his best shot. I suspect that he wants to win a Super Bowl even more than we do, and if that happened we'd all be happy.

ok well all he has to do is not suck

whoman69 03-22-2012 02:50 PM

Cassel is the Frank Burns of QBs

the Talking Can 03-22-2012 02:58 PM

i feel terrible for him he was given 60 mill to do a job he wasn't qualified for

we should all go find him and hug him and maybe fondle him

grandllamajr 03-22-2012 02:58 PM

But if we start liking him when he doesn't suck that makes us all bandwagon fans and I for one am not a bandwagon fan.

You're a Chiefs fan for crying out loud. How are you a bandwagon fan?

Are you also nervous about hating on Dayton Moore in case the Royals actually make the playoffs one of these years?

Hoover 03-22-2012 03:02 PM

I worry that he's going to be a pro-bowler next year.

I know where I came from and who I cheer for, but it really follows the same general idea. Start liking team/player when they are successful not failing. Or does this only apply to teams?

It only applies when it doesn't make you a bandwagon fan.

I've always wondered about guys who win Super Bowls but never play. They were part of the team, to be sure, and granted most guys are on the field at some point on special teams or due to injuries or something. But if you're the backup QB and the starter plays every snap all season, do you ever wear your Super Bowl ring? I'm not sure I'd feel really proud of wearing it, even if I was at every practice and in uniform for every game.

Get it out of your head that your loyalty to the team's players makes you any more or less of a fan. It doesn't. Know what's keeping THEM loyal to the team right now? Money. They might like the team, but none of them wouldn't break their contract and sign with another team for more money if they could right now. And that includes Cassel.

Your loyalty to the Chiefs is stronger and worth more than ANY former player's. Cassel doesn't deserve shit from any fan. Quit feeling sorry for him. He's got 60 million, a job, and a super bowl ring. He's doing pretty ****ing fine with half of a fan base pulling for him.

I am not sure how forced it is. When most of the threads are about what this team needs to win, well its gonna come back to Matt. If we sucked it wouldn't happen as much. The fact that we could possibly be a QB away makes you think about that no matter what move the Chiefs make. When the Chiefs make good moves for people like Winston, it makes me get even more pissed about Cassel.

He was planning on cheating on the test. Wrote the answers on the bill of his hat, but he couldn't get the damn thing to stay on his head. Thus the bad score.

Well said sir, I will never feel bad for a professional athlete, they get paid more money then I will ever see in my lifetime to play a game we would consider a past time or something we would do for fun, hell give me a million to be qb I will do it for the money and take the boo's and hate, who knows I might do a better job than Cassel haha

I've thought for years that Cassel was drafted in 2004. Uhp.
