If we don't get a win tonight you can pretty much forget about ever seeing .500 the rest of the season

stonedstooge 04-17-2012 04:54 PM

Time to start a winning streak tonight

This might have more merit than we want to admit.

alnorth 04-17-2012 05:10 PM

As the old saying goes, you can't win a division (or realistically, a wild card) in April, but you definitely can lose it. We don't need to reel off a big 6-7 game winning streak right now, but we can't keep losing.

Unfortunately I think it does. I don't see this team putting together any 5-6 game winning streaks with our pitching. We'll be lucky to couch a couple 2-3 game winning streaks around a loss or two.

stonedstooge 04-17-2012 06:03 PM

Hope the homeplate ump has a larger strikezone tonight or Detriot will tee off on Chen

mr. tegu 04-17-2012 06:05 PM

We got this.

Just looked him up. Mark Wegner appears to have a vanilla strike zone, not particularly large or small.

The last time we had a lead was game 3 against Cleveland and that lasted until Cleveland came up to bat.

Was Dirks a dick?

alnorth 04-17-2012 06:34 PM

Not sure if this is news, but Sanchez and Hochevar are going to swap spots. Hoch is penciled in for Friday.

Why watch the game if you are going to give up when you're down by one run after two innings?

Archie F. Swin 04-17-2012 06:44 PM

Frenchy's pitch selection can be frustrating. What he chooses to swing at.

Deberg_1990 04-17-2012 06:45 PM

Im confident the Royals will come on strong in September when they are 20 games behind.

I was more upset that he didn't get in better position for that throw to the plate. Didn't look like a gold glover on that play

2005 math with Rex and Ryan....lmao

Nightfyre 04-17-2012 07:07 PM

Gotta love it when a pitcher's error helps his own ERA. With the jump Escobar had, he might have made a case at the plate.
