Always good to get a tough team early on and at home IMO.

That'll be fun. Probably a blowout loss.

Atlanta has an established program. They don't **** around.
Cassel always sucks in openers. |

That's NOT a terrible schedule. I love the bye in week 7.

Hopefully Super Mario kills Cassel in Week 2.

Week 1 Sun. September 9th vs. ATLANTA 12:00 PM (CST) Atlanta visits Arrowhead for the first time since a 56-10 loss to the Chiefs in 2004. Tony Gonzalez makes his Arrowhead return and the Chiefs open the regular season at home for the third consecutive year.
Week 2 Sun. September 16th at Buffalo 12:00 PM (CST) Chiefs seek revenge from last year's 41-7 Opening Day loss. A scheduling rarity with two non-division teams meeting for the fifth consecutive season. Week 3 Sun. September 23rd at New Orleans 12:00 PM (CST) Kansas City faces the second of two NFC South playoff teams from 2011. New Orleans will be without interim head coach Joe Vitt, who will be serving a six-game suspension. Week 4 Sun. September 30th vs. SAN DIEGO 12:00 PM (CST) San Diego visits Arrowhead Stadium for the Chiefs' first division game of 2012. Week 5 Sun. October 7th vs. BALTIMORE 12:00 PM (CST) Rematch of the 2010 AFC Wild Card Playoff Game at Arrowhead Stadium. Ravens QB Joe Flacco will be the fourth Pro Bowl quarterback Kansas City is scheduled to face over the first five weeks. Week 6 Sun. October 14th at Tampa Bay 12:00 PM (CST) Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman, who grew up in the Kansas City area, has never squared off against his hometown team. Week 7 BYE WEEK Veteran players will like this year's bye week placement. A near perfect spot to split the season into two parts. Week 8 Sun. October 28th vs. OAKLAND 3:05 PM (CST) Two weeks to prepare for a rivalry game and the start of a pivotal stretch in the schedule. Week 9 Thurs. November 1st at San Diego (NFLN) 7:20 PM (CST) Chiefs play on Thursday Night Football for the first time in five seasons. Third consecutive season the Chiefs and Chargers have met on primetime television. Week 10 Mon. November 12th at Pittsburgh (MNF) 7:30 PM (CST) A miniature bye week separates nationally televised games with the Chiefs getting 10 days to prepare for a second-straight primetime game. Second year in a row the Chiefs and Steelers have met on primetime television. Storylines, storylines and more storylines. Week 11 Sun. November 18th vs. CINCINNATI 12:00 PM (CST) Another Pro Bowl quarterback waits in Cincinnati's Andy Dalton. Week 12 Sun. November 25th vs. DENVER 12:00 PM (CST) The first meeting against Peyton Manning and the Broncos occurs at Arrowhead. Week 13 Sun. December 2nd vs. CAROLINA 12:00 PM (CST) Cam Newton and the Panthers will be a preseason favorite as a playoff sleeper in 2012. Week 14 Sun. December 9th at Cleveland 12:00 PM (CST) A homecoming of sorts for Romeo Crennel. Week 15 Sun. December 16th at Oakland 3:15 PM (CST) Three of Kansas City's final four games are on the road. None may be more important than this division matchup. Week 16 Sun. December 23rd vs. INDIANAPOLIS 12:00 PM (CST) Andrew Luck at Arrowhead Stadium in the middle of winter is definitely a welcome to the NFL moment. Week 17 Sun. December 30th at Denver 3:15 PM (CST) Sets the stage for what could be a huge season finale. |
The 2nd Half of the season, to start, will be brutal.
We play Oakland on 10/28 then 3 days later we're AT San Diego? Followed by another Nationally Televised game AT Pittsburgh? Who the **** hates this team in the league office? |
I like the schedule. Wish we would have a prime time night game though. I'm seeing 10-6 or 11-5 with that schedule. Baltimore is the only team that really scares me but the Falcons and Steelers are formidable opponents as well. Love having the Saints early when they have suspensions and a interim HC.
Nothing is easy in the NFL but as a whole I like the schedule. Not as easy as 2010, but manageable and definitely better than last year. |
Why the hell do we play the bills every year? It's gotta be at least the 4th year in a row.
|
the last half is pretty nice

Three two-game road trips this year.
Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Good teams with real QBs can more often than not get through those with at least a 1-1 record. Time to see what we're made of. |
Quote:
The worst part of it is...we've lost 3 of those 4 games. And the one game we did win...We BARELY won in Overtime. |
Quote:
Sad thing is we have lost to that pathetic franchise twice recently and should have lost three times. |
To be honest the more I think about it, I would take our team against anyone if we didn't have Matt Casshole as our QB. I'm still pumped and excited for the season but we need a 2010 Casshole.

LOL @ us beating TB, ATL or PIT.
8-8 again probably. |

That's pretty optimistic. It's gonna be rough starting up again after the bye. |
I like playing Atlanta at home to start the season. Arrowhead will be crazy. Agree that getting NO early is important too. For some reason the second half of the season doesn't bother me.
I Love that we play the Broncos late in the season. It will be cold, and who knows, Manning might be dead by then. Steelers game will be tough, but they are not all that great IMO, if we have it rolling we will be fine. |
Quote:
Truth be told, this schedule looks like cake to me. If we're actually halfway decent we'll walk away with at least 9 wins. |
Atlanta's a good opener. I was really hoping for Indianapolis, actually. I want to murder that punk ass soft bitch franchise so bad, and if we could gain confidence from that win so much the better. If we get them later in the season I'm kind of worried that we'll slip up and they'll bite us in the ass yet again

And the Saints game is a winnable game IMO. It will be their 3rd week with the interim's interim coach and who knows how long Drew Brees will have been back with the team. A QB who hasn't been with the team in the off season + A 3rd string coach = A Good chance of a Chiefs win. |

People around here are in for a rude awakening. We are not going to be competing with playoff teams. For ****'s sake, we have to go TO New Orleans. That game will be over by halftime. |

Interested to know Clay, what position do we need to upgrade?
Besides qb of course. |

We'll lose our fair share. We ain't beating Baltimore. I think you can throw New Orleans on top of that, too. But that's to be expected. It's some of the games that we have no reason to lose that we'll **** up. We'll lose at least three badly-played division games plus some games where we're FAR more talented than the other team, but we'll just be ****ing stupid and look like shit. At Tampa worries me a lot. So do the Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Carolina games. We CAN be a playoff team, but it's up to Romeo and Cassel to decide if we take care of business. I don't quite see that happening, but who knows. |
Could see 10 or 11 wins, could see 7 or 8. Depends on injuries and other things I guess.

Falcons are pretty tough in the dome. Probably underrated in that regard... they probably have one of the best home records in the league since Mike Smith took over. I'd imagine most people wouldn't guess that. They're beatable on the road though.
