Tyler Wilson

This is the year that Pioli finally gets fed up with Cassel and does whatever it takes next draft to get our franchise QB!

Bwahahahahahahahahaha

Someone had to start it. Its only a few hours early.

Mecca 04-25-2012 06:58 PM

Fed up or not, the Chiefs are not going to be picking this high next year.

RealSNR 04-26-2012 01:28 AM

You misspelled "Bray" in the thread title

Chiefnj2 04-26-2012 07:36 AM

I don't think Bray declares early after last years injury and poor performance after injury.

I don't know how big he is, but Keith Price is someone to keep an eye on. He did well with very little talent around him.

Scout.com says 6'2" 183 lbs

The meltdown will be epic next year when the Chiefs still don't take a QB primarily because they will be out of range for the elite guys.

It's always next year around here.

We're gonna have to pull a 2011 falcons move and just give up the farm to move up.

That's why I can accept taking Tannehill this year. KC won't be in the top 5 to take the best prospect or even perhaps the 2nd best. Pioli seems unwilling to give up picks to move up. That leaves the Chiefs in a position to take the 3rd or 4th best prospect who will always have questions.

I hear a voice from the Land of Magical Thinking.

I know, I know...take a QB in every round in every draft until you find one. Got it.

Or they can keep trotting cast-offs out there or hope 5th round picks turn in to something. That has worked well so far.

I'm actively mocking anybody who subscribes to the QB in every round strategy. You are much more likely to kill the franchise than find the next franchise QB if any GM was stupid enough to listen to you clowns.

Kill the franchise like not winning a playoff game in 20 years?

Every round? LMAO

Nice strawman. I hope you didn't hurt it too much.

Not to mention that stellar overall record, especially since 2000.

buddha 04-26-2012 08:11 AM

Frosty...read the board. There are people suggesting that.

The Chiefs lousy record is completely due to a lack of a franchise QB...especially since 2000. Thanks for clearing that up for us.

Better be willing to accept the 3rd or 4th best in any year. We will not be drafting that high unless we let Cassel's contract expire and then don't sign anyone. Then let what ever 3rd string crap lead us for a season. We would probably find a way to screw that up. Pioli is not going to give up multiple 1st round picks to move up into the top 3 to 5 range to be able to get the top selections at the position.

buddha 04-26-2012 08:48 AM

Guys...the answer is that KC needs to pick a real QB of the future and develop him!

Either that or over pay for a free agent QB down the road who didn't work out where they were.

I understand the desperation. The paucity of "elite" QBs is really Archie Manning's fault...he stopped at two sons. Bad call, Arch!

I'm pretty sure that's what most of us have been saying. I guess the argument is what constitutes a "real QB". However, it's like the lottery - if you don't pay, you can't win. Sitting outside the QB store with your nose pressed to the glass, hoping for some scrap to blow out the door isn't going to get you anywhere.
