Tyler Wilson

KurtCobain 04-28-2012 07:01 PM

I like tyler Wilson.

Mecca 04-28-2012 07:02 PM

Andy Murray should probably be on there too actually.

I love love love Robert Woods but no way we get him.

Ming the Merciless 04-28-2012 07:03 PM

OMG LETS TANK THE SEASON FOR TYLER WILSON

/draftbundle of sticksubators

Mecca 04-28-2012 07:04 PM

If we're gonna do that wouldn't you rather have Barkley? lol

Extra Point 04-28-2012 07:04 PM

I want Rodgers' kid brother.

I've never seen or heard much about murray, what's the pro/cons to look for, iyo, while I'm youtubing him?

O.city 04-28-2012 07:05 PM

Tyler Wilson or Barkley

Woods is a stud as is Lattimore

That said, we probably take the ILB from ND.

Mecca 04-28-2012 07:05 PM

Andy Murray has size and a ridiculous arm and has a ton of starting experience already.

Nightfyre 04-28-2012 07:06 PM

Well, if Poe doesn't workout we can always look at John Jenkins next year I guess.

Mecca 04-28-2012 07:06 PM

TJ McDonald would be an interesting fit he's fast but is a big time lay the lumber safety.

Rasputin 04-28-2012 07:07 PM

I'm ready for next years draft. Suck to draft best QB.

Can he grow an inch or two by next year? :D Other than his height, he does look damn good. (and honestly his height isn't too terrible)

Thats because you are a truefan.

You have to be an elite draftturbator to think of the strategy of tanking your season to get a better draft pick....BEFORE the season even starts.

If he declares I'd like the Chiefs to take a shot at Tyler Bray

O.city 04-28-2012 07:20 PM

With the roster we have built, a young quarterback is gonna be able to jump in head first.

Bane 04-28-2012 07:20 PM

Blow for Barkley!

Mecca 04-28-2012 07:20 PM

You can sell all those QB's but not Landry Jones that guy sucks.

Bewbies 04-28-2012 07:21 PM

Tyler Bray. I like Murray, but if he's 6' tall it's due to his hair being spiked up.

Honestly, unless we have Brady on the bench there is no excuse to look at anything but QB.

BossChief 04-28-2012 07:23 PM

Drafting Landry Jones is probably worse than just keeping Cassel.

But what do I know?...Stanzi can't get on the field and I wanted to move up for Tannehill (and the opportunity to do so was there)

KC Hawks 04-28-2012 07:23 PM

Can't wait until we draft Dayne Crist.

We need to re-sign bowe, Albert, and Dorsey. That way there is no other position we have an excuse to take in round one

O.city 04-28-2012 07:23 PM

I think Wilson has a monster year at Arkansas. He's the unofficial head coach down there now and is a great leader. He's going to be very polished after coming out of that pro style system.

Bailey will take over his spot and will do well .. I doubt they'd spend a first next year on another DE.

Mecca 04-28-2012 07:30 PM

i expect Dorsey to leave, Jackson to rework his deal and something to get done with Albert and Bowe, just my thoughts.

I just found the following cheat sheet, but I'm not sure if it's BossChief's or Parker's:

2013 SUPAR DRAF BORED!

(First round value unless denoted sleeper)

QB James Vandenberg, Iowa
FB Brad Rogers, Iowa (jr)
WR Keenan Davis, Iowa
TE CJ Fiedorowicz ,Iowa (jr)
T Brett Van Slotan, Iowa (jr)
G Nolan MaMillan, Iowa (jr); Matt Tobin, Iowa
C James Ferentz, Iowa

DT Joe Gaglione, Iowa (sleeper!)
DE Dominic Alvis, Iowa (jr); Steve Bigarch, Iowa
OLB Christian Kirksey, Iowa (jr); James Morris, Iowa (jr)
CB Micah Hyde, Iowa; BJ Lowery, Iowa (jr)
S Tanner Miller, Iowa (jr)

K Mike Meyer, Iowa (jr)

Mecca 04-28-2012 07:32 PM

I've seen Vanderberg play..he's not very good.

We didn't take Brockers though...that tells me they either really like Bailey or they plan on re signing Dorsey... I'd lean towards the Bailey option

keg in kc 04-28-2012 07:35 PM

I don't think we can do it without trading Bowe (NO I AM NOT SAYING "TRADE BOWE"!!!!!!eLeveN), but if we're not in the first 6-8 picks, I think we need to get there to get one of the top 5 QBs next year (my list right now is Barkley, Bray, Jones, Smith & Wilson).

O.city 04-28-2012 07:35 PM

Shit, next year give up as many picks as you have to to get your guy.

BryanBusby 04-28-2012 07:36 PM

I'm not expecting Bray or Murray to come out in next years draft.

This team is likely going to win too many games to have a reasonable shot at Tyler Wilson. Missing out on Tannehill is going to hurt a lot down the road.

007 04-28-2012 07:38 PM

Keith Price is already getting me to start salivating. Playing in Sark's pro style offense, and pushing Montana into a transfer is pretty amazing. Kid's got skills. He'll probably come out early, and may be the best QB in the 14 class.

suds79 04-28-2012 07:40 PM

I'm sure we'll finally get our QB next year just like how Scott Pioli likes to draft a QB every year right??

What happened this year? Nothing.

What will happen next year? Nothing. And the meltdown will be epic.

... And of course there will be a select few saying "to trade up would cost too much" or "this guy is suppose to come out next year."

This.

If all goes according to plan, the glass slipper is built. The team around our young quarterback has the potential to be fantastic.

Not just good, but great.

Go get your guy next year and lets do some shit.

saphojunkie 04-28-2012 07:44 PM

Trade Bowe to Miami now for a first. Draft Tyler Wilson with Miami's pick and Manti Te'o with ours.

*braces for shitstorm*

O.city 04-28-2012 07:46 PM

No, keep Bowe around.

We don't need a starter at ILB.

Belcher is gonna wreck shit this year with Powe and Poe in front of him.

You have to root for Kevin Kolb this year. Raiders and Chiefs are the only two teams on paper that need to draft a QB next year. I say raiders cuz no way Reg mckenzie lives with that mess one year longer than he has to.

You think they bail on Gabbert after two years? Isn't his contract fully guaranteed?

And jets just extended Sanchez. Of course, if tannebaum and Ryan are booted, anything is possible.

Gabbert is awful

I'm curious on whatever QB decides to come out of nowhere and take the nation by storm like what RG3 did this year.

Barkley is a hell of a lot better than Cassel.

That being said, I'd be willing to bet there will be at least 2 QBs that leap him as the top QBs in next year's class.

Both Tyler's (Wilson and Bray), would be my bet.

There might be a third, as well.

O.city 04-28-2012 09:20 PM

If Wilson has the year I think he will next year, it's time to go get him. Hell it's past time.

Throw all your chips in, draft your quarterback and lets get serious.

KCrockaholic 04-28-2012 09:21 PM

Just give us a damn 1st round QB not named Landry Jones. I like Murray and Wilson.

Urc Burry 04-28-2012 11:17 PM

Isn't Ray Ray Armstrong the safety out of Miami suppose to be a high pick next year?

RealSNR 04-28-2012 11:22 PM

Geno Smith and Tyler Bray > Barkley, Wilson, Jones, everybody else

ForeverChiefs58 04-28-2012 11:25 PM

WalterFootball thinks we will pick a QB at 26, and seems pretty spot on with their take:

26) Kansas City Chiefs: Landry "Lance" Jones, QB, Oklahoma

As I wrote in my NFL Power Rankings, the Chiefs have the best roster in the NFL if you exclude the quarterback position. I believe they'll win the AFC West and make the playoffs, but they'll suffer another early exit because of Matt Cassel's limitations. Here's one way to fix that.

Absolutely this. It's been years since I have been as excited about a QB prospect as I am Bray. That includes Luck (call me crazy all you want). I think this guy is awesome.

chiefzilla1501 04-28-2012 11:36 PM

See, I know people get sick of the "wait til next year" talk, but I do think the class has a lot of potential to have a very deep QB class. I am praying like crazy that Murray and/or Bray or both end up declaring. Could Murray even hop above Barkley if he has a big season? The kid just has such a big arm, from what I've seen. None of these guys will be Andrew Luck, but what matters more isn't who's on top, but how many legit first rounders are there? I think there will be more QBs and less teams desperately competing for QBs.

You've got three guaranteed QBs in the first round. Barkley, Wilson, Landry Jones. While I don't like Jones, you hope some dumb team in front of you uses their QB card on him. One less team to worry about. What do people think about Geno Smith or EJ Manuel? Smith's had an impressive run at WVU. And does Manuel have the ability to be the next RGIII? They seem to play a similar game and let's not forget that RGIII wasn't high on radars after his junior year. Murray and Bray are cherries on the top. I wonder if this class could have 5 or more surefire first round QBs.

Love Geno Smith and what he could do this year. He's shown sharp improvement from year to year, and has shown that he's got the great arm and sharp release to go along with his athleticism.

He could be next year's RGIII. Known, but not taken too seriously before the college season. By the end of the season, however, he turns into either the king of the draft or a co-king.

The one thing to keep in mind, and it's something I've been saying for a while, is amazingly it's a lot easier to jump 10-15 spots into the top 10 or 15 than it is to jump 2-3 spots into the top 5.

Which is why I keep bringing up the depth of this year's QB class. If any good QB falls out of the top 5 and especially toward 10 or above, we can trade up for a lot less compensation than what Washington gave up for RGIII.

Bump 04-28-2012 11:41 PM

we'll be picking around 15, give or take a few. Once again we won't have a shot at a good QB.
