Kansas City Royals vs. Chicago Unwashed 7/14/12

Hochevar vs. Peavy

A Royals win... Put it on the booooaaaaaarrrrddd.... YES!

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 04:57 PM

Take a drink for every Hawkism, be drunk by the 2nd.

Chopper two hopper might get you there alone since his uses it for 3 and 4 hoppers as well.

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 05:01 PM

Holy crap I get the game on tv tonight. Not usually a good omen.

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 05:03 PM

You're overthinking this kid. Just go out and play your best.

Talking to me or am I missing something clever?

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 05:05 PM

Hope the homeplate ump is consistent tonight

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 05:08 PM

I wonder if Adam Dunn, Konerko, whatever other Sux were there just chilled in the hotel in KC for two days after the ASG since the rest of the team was coming to town.

We haven't seen you on here for a while in game threads. Maybe that is a good omen ;)

Mizzou_8541 07-14-2012 05:12 PM

Why is Dyson is CF and not Cain?

mr. tegu 07-14-2012 05:12 PM

Dyson in for Cain :banghead:

Just because its a tough righty. Hey Yost! At some point Cain might have to hit a tough righty!

Since I usually can't see the game I don't have a lot to say in game threads. I read them to follow along while on gamecast, more than post

This... and Dyson is so good against righties anyway. Ugh.

Perfect game still in play...

Ah, I see. For future reference you can usually find the games here: http://www.vipbox.tv/

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 05:19 PM

So, mlb.tv offered me 40% off my purchase in the mlb.com shop (for the inconvenience they provided yesterday), so I ordered a Perez Jersey. Just to warn you guys, he will probably get injured tonight and never play at the same level again.

Thanks. Sometimes streams aren't even worth watching on my crappy loaner computer from work but I'll give that one a try.

mr. tegu 07-14-2012 05:20 PM

I seem to recall the last time a few starts ago that Hoch needed to pick up the bullpen he pitched 9 innings. Hopefully he can do it again.

Why do you always have to ruin everything?

They had a pretty severe outage yesterday coming off the all-star break.

mr. tegu 07-14-2012 05:22 PM

Gordon a tad unlucky there.

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 05:22 PM

Gordon made good contact, thats a good sign for us.

Wasn't the game free though? Did you have to e-mail a complaint to get the discount? And more importantly did you bring enough for everyone? :D

They emailed the discount to me. I didn't have to complain or anything. And no, the game wasn't free yesterday.

Shogun 07-14-2012 05:25 PM

Hosmer sucks

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 05:25 PM

Hosmer, you need a AAA stint. Seitzer clearly isn't coaching you properly.

mr. tegu 07-14-2012 05:25 PM

Hosmer

Mizzou_8541 07-14-2012 05:26 PM

Wow, great AB Hosmer.

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 05:26 PM

What was it about that pitch that looked anything like a strike Hosmer? I must be nice as a pitcher knowing you don't even need to try hard to get a guy out.

I keep saying he is being coached too much. They are making him be way too patient up there. I have never seen anyone swing so little at fastballs early in the count.

Konerko doing his best Frenchy impression with a first pitch bomb.

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 05:29 PM

God Ned, at least move Hosmer out of an RBI spot if you're going to leave him in there. He's becoming an embarassment

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 05:29 PM

Perfect game/no hitter is gone.

Mizzou_8541 07-14-2012 05:29 PM

The AB by Hosmer just ruined my night. #firstworldproblems

Marlins sure enjoy them some Royals' catcher remnants.

Buck and Humberto.

Country Breakfast warming it up.

mr. tegu 07-14-2012 05:36 PM

At least Dyson is in so he can't pinch run for Billy.

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 05:36 PM

Yost must make his first tough decision of the day: Does he pinch run for Butler here?! (Sarcasm)

mr. tegu 07-14-2012 05:36 PM

Billy tagging!!! Nice!

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 05:36 PM

Way to hustle Billy

Shogun 07-14-2012 05:36 PM

The answer is yes. He will hit. FOR MORE POWER

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 05:37 PM

Billy tags and moves up...

that's what speed do.

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 05:37 PM

I like how the only time Frenchy takes the first pitch is when its a meatball over the middle.

mr. tegu 07-14-2012 05:38 PM

Frenchy is ALWAYS in a 1-2 or 0-2 hole.

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 05:38 PM

LOL Frenchy

Hope he can field outside of his shadow. That's an improvement over Yuni

stonedstooge 07-14-2012 05:49 PM

Welp, playing from behind again. Matt Hochaver loses the shutout

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 05:51 PM

That was a very Royalsesque play by De Aza. Thanks for the gift out.

Nightfyre 07-14-2012 05:58 PM

Dyson showcasing some power1!

Dr. Johnny Fever 07-14-2012 05:58 PM

The crowd looks pretty good. Even the upper deck is full to about 3/4ths of the way up. Imagine if we weren't 11 games under .500.
