Prisco - Chiefs will go 6-10
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/1...as-city-chiefs
http://sports.cbsimg.net/u/photos/fo...mg19603346.jpg Kind of a weird article, with Clark Judge writing like a stupid homer, defending Cassel, calling McCluster a "dynamic and explosive playmaker." Then it goes on to talk shit on Romeo Crennel at the end. Most of it is tripe we already know, but there you have it. 6-10. Read it and weep. |
Might as well skip the games I guess.
|
6-10 seems legit at this point in time and how I feel about the team.
So we beat Denver twice, where do the other 4 wins come from? We sweep in the division? |
Pete Prisco?
Come on man. I know you want validation for operation Chiefssuck 2012. But Prisco? |
We could have our offense from 2004 to go with the 2000 Raven's defense, and Prisco still would pick us 6-10.
|
If Mark and Jammal put up those numbers I dont think we go 6-10.

I'm surprised he was able to stop sucking Manning's dick long enough to write a story.
|
Cassel throwing for 3,475 yards, and JC only rushing for 1,160? ROFL
|
close to my projection as far as W/L's go, i think 7-9.
|
12-4
|
Is Chiefsplanet the last refuge of intelligence concerning Matt Cassel and the Chiefs? I was listing to Doug Gotleib or whatever his name is on ESPN Radio about an hour ago and they were talking about NFL related things.
Anyway a Caller from Texas (not me) gets on the phone. "I am a big Chiefs fan and I think with Matt Cassel coming back to his 2010 form where he was a Pro Bowl QB with 27 TD's and 4 interceptions the Chiefs should be able to make a lot of noise in the AFC West even with Peyton in Denver." I got a little pissy about this and changed the radio to something else. Who is out of touch with reality? I mean using logic and numbers we can see that Cassel is not a good QB. Viewing him on a weekly basis shows that the Offense is limited due to his issues he has being a QB. Didn't Toad post something about how Cassel is like 3 - 13 vs teams with a .500 record or better? Is there a chance that someone could come up with a sticky post that lists ALL the damning evidence against Matt Cassel so we can have it in 1 area? This way if someone has to educate the brain dead minions out there we can just link that and be done with it. Thank you in advance if someone steps up to the plate and completes such a thing. |
At least 9-7.
|
Barret,
You have to remember... CP is less that 1% of the actual fanbase... When it comes to reality, no one gives a shit about what anyone says here... CP is just as out of touch with the majority of the fanbase as the majority are out of touch with this roster... Just the way it is. Message board posters will always be the minority voice. |
I say 7-9...so he's not that off, however Prisco ****ing hates the Chiefs.
Always has.. |
Considering how BAD pricko has been at predicting the Chiefs success (as well as grading drafts, which he's terrible at) I"d say this is a good sign.
I really doubt our record gets worse than last season unless Charles goes down or is completely unproductive. I don't expect the D to suck either. I think we'll win at least 8 games. |

Should include: Treatise on franchise QBs from 'Hamas' Cassel 3:16 Cassel being 1-8 against playoff teams Cassel's history of not completing passes past 20 yards. |
I figure we will be around 8-8 ... so anything from 6-10 and 10-6 is very possible.
but then again that can be said for 60% of the entire league |
As long as Cassel is the QB on this team, my expectations and standards are going to be low.
I wasn't aware he had ever won a game against an above .500 team as a Chief. Must have missed him posting a victory against a 9-7 team when they were 2-5 or something like that. I am just glad Sunday Ticket had that $96 dollar, single payment deal this year, because I don't think I would have paid $100 to watch him. |
He beat the 09 Steelers, who missed the playoffs.
I think there was some other shitty 9-7 team he "beat." Only playoff team was the 7-9 Seahawks. And FYI, he was pretty unsuccessful against good teams in NE, too. |
**** it.
No point in watching any games. |
Yeah Charles Berry Moeaki and Winston are worth -1 wins. Yeah.

That was my prediction Prisco stole it.

That was the game that made me hope it was the real him. Too bad he had to wake up. |

My only real knock against him, is that the players love him. That has not worked out for the Chiefs in the past, hopefully this time will be different. Also, he made it pretty clear prior to Pioli correcting him, that Cassel was not the answer in his opinion. |

This reminds me of the famous old saying... 'who gives a shit what Prisco thinks?'
10-6 |
saying 6-10 is no different than a homer at the other of the spectrum that shoots high and thinks 12-4 or 13-3 or even 11-5 dominance. There's no consistency from this team in winning or losing. It will be the same win some/lose some season. 7-9, 8-8, 9-7 at best 10-6. Pick one of those because mediocrity is the difference of 3 games in the AFC West where the talent is garbage.

Charles had 1120 yards in 2009 when he only started 9 games. |
It's likely Cassel does throw for more yards, because we will be behind playing all these good teams.
It's also likely his TD-INT ratio, completion percentage and YPA sucks, with a shitty QB rating. |
Prisco is nothing but a Jacksonville hack.
|
Prisco is worse than you at predictions dude. I wouldn't wipe my ass with a wet wipe version of this article.

The thing is, we have some pretty damn good QB's in our division now. But if our defense stays healthy and Berry comes back 100%, we'll do alright. And if Poe can contribute any way better than our DT's did last year, which isn't entirely unlikely, our defense will be so much better because of it and it was stellar last year (after the first 3 games). I honestly believe that our defense was built around Berry's ability and it took 3 or 4 games for Romeo to figure out what to do now with those turds backing EB up.
If Charles and Hillis come back to 2010 form and if Baldwin turns out to be awesome and Tony M comes back too, our offense will be pretty damn good, despite Cassel. A lot of "if's" but this could be a fun year. Winning the division won't be easy at all though. It's a passing league and we are gonna be facing Phillip Rivers, Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer. |
turn that around .. 10-6 .. i hope .....

Can't wait for Herm's motivational speech to the Chiefs!!!! He did one for the Saints and Jets that I saw and they were ridiculous.

Do people really think Charles will go over 1,200 yards? Coming off an ACL injury and possibly having another "feature" back on the team? Seems reasonable.

Too me, that stat package had far more to do with what happened in 2010 than the 27-7 stat did. That 27-7 stat is nearly as meaningless as Orton's 1-2 stat was during the last three games last season. |
Training camp starts on the 27th right? I cant wait lol
|
|
They only win 6, I'll take a vaca till the next season starts.

Pete Prisco? Jesus Christ, you could get a better prediction from Charles Manson. Check his weekly game prediction percentages. They are consistently in the 40-50's.
Guy's a goddamn moron and is basically CBS' Skip Bayless. |

The only other win against a team that finished above .500 as a starter, either as a Chief or a Patriot, was against the Dolphins in '08 with the Patriots. So, essentially, in 30+ games as a starter he has 2 wins against a team with a winning record, and 1 win against a playoff team, which is, I believe, the only team to ever make the playoffs with a record below .500. Quote:
I think it's going to be another season of minimizing his mistakes. |
It's easier to minimize mistakes when you are playing with the lead.
I don't think we will see 2010 Cassel ever again. 200-yard rushing games just don't happen that often, especially against good teams. |
Hell I see us at 1-5 or 2-4 going into the bye week. Then about 5-5 or 6-4 the rest of the way.
so anywhere from 6-10 to 8-8 for me. |
6 and 0. Lock it up.

This article was a bunch of nonsense imo. The Chiefs have DL problems I don't think are going to be fixed until Dorsey is gone and some players develop there. Plus, they have a first season center, that is going to go a lil rough this year imo. The three players that tore knees are still a question mark to me. Jamaal going for 1100 yards seems lofty coming back from a blown knee. Cassel throwing for 3500 yards seems fantastic. I guess if he does that plus throws a bunch of INT's they could go 6 - 10, but I don't see what the writer says here coming true. They are gonna struggle this season imo. They still need to develop linemen on both sides of the ball. If a OL goes down, what? Who feels good about that scenario? Not me. This team is still a season from becoming a formidable NFL force. They need these young WR's to develop, Baldwin and Breaston will fight it out for the #2 position while everybody on offense will need to get their heads around how Daboll works. If they are headed to 6 - 10, Cassel won't get the chance to throw for 3500 yards. No way. I figure they'll be 4 - 6 and Cassel will get benched at that point. They'll play better as a young team later on, hit a few wins and break even. Something like that. |

Dorsey is the best DL on this team the last 4 years. |

Of course defenders will chime in with his wins over 8-8 teams. Edit - looks like he also had a win over the 08 Cardinals. But whatever it is, it's not pretty. |

Everyone seems to be overlooking Peyton Hillis. I guess they are too focused on the other Peyton. Dude could actually bring to this team what we had hoped we were getting in TJ. Given the improvements on the OL I don't think defenses will be able to sit back when Charles is not in the game. If Cassel can just manage the game this year and keep the turnovers down I think we have a good shot at our division given the potential of our running game and our defense.
If Powe pans out you can forget about it, the Chiefs will dominate the AFC West. That's a big IF but if he can, Hali and Houston are going to go crazy and we should deal with reasonable field position most of the season. |
