Fantasy football Keeper Question -

I am stumped on this one. Do I keep LeSean McCoy or Calvin Johnson. Right now, I'm leaning toward CJ, but it's just so close!

Depends.

What rounds?

Do you lose whatever round they were picked in last year?

Nightfyre 08-16-2012 05:11 PM

I lose this year's first round if I keep.

For both?

What # draft pick do you have this year in the first round?

Nightfyre 08-16-2012 05:13 PM

I can only keep one. I would be picking 7th.

Ceej 08-16-2012 05:14 PM

So, my question is:

You must have traded for one of the two during last year?

I think I would keep McCoy.

Nightfyre 08-16-2012 05:15 PM

No trading involved in snagging either one.

So how'd you accumulate both guys?

And how come you'd lose a first rounder for either?

Need details, sir.

ShowtimeSBMVP 08-16-2012 05:20 PM

PPR League?

Nightfyre 08-16-2012 05:23 PM

I drafted McCoy in round 1, Mendenhall in round 2, and CJ in round 3. Standard scoring league. Electing to select a keeper costs you a first in this league. Commish decision.

lostcause 08-16-2012 05:28 PM

The good thing is you can't lose either way. I would lean McCoy just because it is easier to find serviceable wideouts. In a 2 wr league then McCoy for sure. Be happy you have this luury

HOW THE **** DID MEGATRON LAST UNTIL ROUND 3???

any openings in this league?

:)

Nightfyre 08-16-2012 05:30 PM

I was considering CJ in round 2, so when he fell to round 3 it was a no-brainer. It's a work league, so nothing ultra competitive.

Ceej 08-16-2012 05:32 PM

Then go with McCoy and hope Megatron falls again!

that's a good idea. So, evidently some people left and their team's rosters got dumped to free agents. I just added Aaron Rodgers and set him as my keeper and promptly texted the commish about his oversight. LMAO.

Nightfyre 08-16-2012 05:39 PM

Okay, he's not going to let me keep Rodgers. Even though it was a hilarious prank. I think I will try your method of hoping CJ falls.

Ceej 08-16-2012 05:57 PM

Good luck sir.

Let us know how it worked out.

Nightfyre 08-17-2012 07:11 PM

I changed my mind. I can't lose CJ. He is just that much better than any other receiver and with Stafford continuing to improve.... I also suspect Vick will vulture some of McCoy's TDs until he gets hurt again.

I cannot post a thread so I will ask in here.

I play in a dynasty league and have a pretty balanced team. I was thinking about trading Roddy White (almost 31 years old) for Trent Richardson. Any thoughts?

Nightfyre 08-18-2012 01:57 PM

Didn't Richardson just have surgery or something?

two of em before this year..

It is a tough decision for a dynasty.. Do you think he will be a stud is the question.. What are your RB situation for the next 3 years and the same to your WR position if you lose the WR..

pretty strong at both, moreso at WR

RB - AP, McFadden, B. Wells, J. Stewart, M.Bush, and Mikel Leshoure

WR- Roddy, Jennings, H. Nicks, A. Brown, E. Decker, L.Moore, Eddie Royal, and Leonard Hankerson

In a dynasty league, I would do it in a second....that's a no doubt type of deal if you can get it. I would do it in a redraft as well (IE would pick T-Rich prior to White), but that probably wouldn't be the opinion of the majority.

Nightfyre 09-05-2012 07:18 PM

So, I settled on keeping McCoy, which wound up being a pretty fortunate decision considering Stafford fell all the way to 19.

My draft went as follows:
7. LeSean McCoy (Keeper)
19. Matthew Stafford
30. Marshawn Lynch
43. Jordy Nelson
54. Steve Smith (Carolina)
67. Roy Helu
78. Cedric Benson
91. Robert Meachem
102. Matt Schaub
115. Darius Heyward-Bey
126. Mark Ingram
139. Coby Fleener
150. Danny Amendola
163. Greg Olsen
174. Bills D/ST
187. Ryan Succop

Nightfyre 09-07-2012 07:33 PM

Based on this roster - should I start Lynch given his questionable status with the back spasms?
