Terrell Owens cut. Again.
I almost feel bad for the guy anymore.

me too, looks like it's time to call it a game.

He's still a good WR. Showed he can still get separation the other night but he has stone hands.
|
Probably would have made the team if he didn't have like 6 drops through the pre-season.

Well.....Bye.
|
Drops are a symptom of him being away from game time conditions. Extremely surprised he was cut, he showed physically he still has it

How so? TO has always had stone hands the difference between him and a guy like freddie Mitchell is he can still make plays. |
I honestly think that if he knocks the rust off, he can still contribute.
The hands are going to take a bit to soften up, but he's a smart, fearless route runner with great size and decent speed. He can still help a lot of teams, IMO. |
You can't have Edwards and TO on the same team. Apparently TO was running his little prima donna attitude in camp too. He doesn't bring enough to the table at this late stage of his carreer to have to put up with that shit. That guy will never grow up.
|
Eh, I've had enough of him. He can go away now.
|
TO is an amazing talent and I'm sure he would have reduced the drops given more reps. But the guy doesn't know how to humble himself. As a result, he probably won't be given many opportunities. Doesn't matter to me. I respect his game and will always remember the time he desecrated the Star in the middle of Texas Stadium. Pure, unadulterated entertainment for a Cowboys hater.
|
We all know TO is a basket case. I commend the guy for his accomplishments and I admire his desire to compete. For his age, he looked great last friday. Not to say he is worthy of a roster spot etc.
|
Other than that over the head catch on Friday (which to his credit, was pretty awesome), he hasn't looked the same this whole preseason. Even though he's always in tip top shape, there always comes a time when you're too old for the game. This is probably his time.
He should just retire and start preparing that hall of fame speech in 5 years. |

He should go to Miami.
|
We have our version of him minus a good QB.
|
I'd give him a shot. We have the cap space... Why not?!
|
Hi TO. I am the fork.
you are done |
Next stop....Hall of Fame!

I guess it's easier to feel empathy for a guy who's career doesn't end with the beating of a basketball wife.
|
So, much for Herm, Wiley, and Salley's prediction of Moss, Owens, and Chad Johnson as "breakthrough recievers ROFL What a bunch of dumbasses.

In other Seeahawk news, Tavarus Jackson to the Bills for Draft Pick, Vince Young and Thigpin couldn't nail down backup spot? Yikes!
|
He's a piece of shit. A hoodrat that has tons of kids and baby mommas. I dont feel sorry for him at all.
|
Injuries are part of the game, someone will suffer one and he will get another shot this season. He is still a threat that needs to be covered, he has mad speed for his age, that will garner attention from defenses.
|
The guy still has talent....I don't think he's done.
The drops are an issue though.......a big issue. He can still seperate and get open though. |

Bring him in for the win.
|
Too bad. He was really great at one time. I was weary of his act when he and Rosenhaus held the press conference in his driveway 06/07?
He had a $49 million contract and wanted it redone, bitched at Andy Reid and Reid told him to go F himself. He's just not very smart. I have a hard time feeling bad about his situation. |

TO might get into the HoF, but he won't be first ballot. |
decent player .. but not a team player .. nor standup person .....

The conversation about TO will be interesting. Despite his impressive statistics and a lot of good play on the field (including unselfish blocking), I think he was such a locker-room cancer that he'll never get in. I think the voters will always find someone "more deserving", and I'm not sure I would disagree. |

There is a hole new generation of WRs to enjoy watching & none of them named T.O., Ocho Cinco, or Randy Moss. I won't be missing them. Moss may have the most to offer out of those three but it wont be long before his tank is empty.
|
I wonder how much of his contract he gets?

The Raiders should start TO and Chad Johnson as their two wideouts. Perfect for them.
|
A thousand players (literally) are about to get cut. A lot of those WRs are young and cheap and play ST and will find a home. Once the first game kicks off, any veteran signing is an unguaranteed contract. By midweek after Game 1, Owens will have a job. (Probably in South Florida.)

Philbin had Marshall traded because he was a headcase. He cut Chad Johnson because he was a headcase. He just traded Vonte Davis because he is a headcase. And you think he is going to sign TO? Really? How can that even cross your mind? |
