AFCW: Week 1 Predictions
 

Ok, so it's finally here! I don't post much anymore, but figured I would throw out a topic for this week. Which AFCW teams win this week?

I'm actually very interested to watch the other AFC West teams play this week.

There are a lot of questions out there. What does Manning look like in a complete game. Does Carson Palmer still have some gas in the tank, and is Philip Rivers on the downside of his career or was last year's struggles a one year thing.

Fantasy experts predict Rivers to have a career day.

I think the Raiders will surprise and defeat SD. SD starts out slow almost every year.

I think Denver will win because the Steelers have had an iffy offseason with the relationship between Haley and Ben, the Wallace holdout, and pushing Mendenhall to play on little to no practice. Manning has also been legit.

The Chiefs will get stomped by Atlanta and CP will erupt on how terrible this team looks.
I'm sorry, but I just don't see them flipping the magic switch after that god awful preseason.

It's possbile against that pathetic Raider secondary.

The Raiders will sit alone in the AFCW basement after week one.

This. I think it's gonna take a couple games before Denver hits their stride offensively.

Gaither being out for the MNF game is a HUGE disadvantage for the Chargers. Expect Rivers to be harassed all night long. Think last year's Thursday night football match up. Except instead of Bush, a better running back (McFadden) is ramming it down San Diego's throat.

SD starts slow, OAK win
DEN still learning pick city for PIT, PIT win
KC stuns ATL and our youngins get much needed experience with winning at home, KC win

You're good people...

I didn't expect the Falcons to do what they did... thought it might be a shootout, but I figured the Chiefs would win the home game.

I thought Denver could win, given the QB change and the guys PIT was missing on defense. Denver's defense is still bend, don't break and they can't stop a TE - esp on 3rd down. They gave up too much on 3rd down when they had PIT on the ropes.
