Tyler Palko doing well these days

LMAO

http://www.nesn.com/2012/09/tyler-pa...or-chiefs.html

Quote:

Tyler Palko was never expected to fill Matt Cassell's shoes in the Kansas City Chiefs offense, but he also wasn't expected to be selling them. Just a few months after starting six games at quarterback for the Chiefs, Palko has apparently found himself in the middle of South Dakota selling shoes.

According to Palko's Wikipedia profile page, the 29-year-old backup quarterback is "a former American football quarterback who is currently employed at Payless Shoes in Aberdeen, South Dakota." There has been no confirmation made of the claim, but looking at Palko's numbers from his six starts in 2011 it might be a good career move.

Palko, who has bounced between six different teams, including two CFL franchises, during his five year professional career, completed just 59 percent of his passes while throwing just two touchdowns to seven interceptions during his run as the Chiefs starter.

The profile update may merely be a cruel joke, but taking a second look at his stats Palko should at least be looking for a new profession because, it seems things just aren't working out at quarterback.

Seeing as how there is 0 credability to this story, im not sure why it's thread worthy.

-King- 09-06-2012 07:02 PM

Dunno if I believe it. Dude was in the league for 4 or 5 years. He should have a mil or 2 in the bank.

EDIT: That isn't even what his wiki says. It says he's working at an insurance company and doing pre and post game coverage for Pitt.

I don't think shitty fringe players make as much as you think they do.

He probably has a couple hundred K still, but I doubt he'd have 2 million even if he saved every penny he earned from his NFL 'career'.

It's still fake, but you know.

Rookie minimum is about 200k. A 5 year vet like him should have made about 500k last year.

So yeah, I'd say he's made between a mil or 2 during his career.

Yeah. Guys like Palko try so ****ing hard and never give up but eventually fail in the end because of factors beyond their control such as size, stature, arm strength, childhood coaching, etc. The guy went undrafted and never looked back for 6 years.

That's why pukes like David Wilson who cried when he fumbled make me sick. Try being Tyler ****ing Palko, David. You'll shrivel up your tear ducts.

Wow. Palko is 37 now. So he was like 27-28 when he played for us. A seasoned vet!

I was going to mention that and saw your post. He was QB with the Pitt Panthers but Coach Dave Wannsted picked Tyler Palko for the starting job. Flacco was offered a slot at Delaware and saw that Rich Gannon had played his college ball there, so Joe transferred to Delaware and was drafted in the first round by the Ravens. Here is Joe in his Pitt uniform where he sparingly in 4 games.

Palko at Pitt had a career of 66 touchdown passes, which was second to Alex Van Pelt. He passed 8,343 yards, second to Dan Marino.

According to Wikipedia Tyler Palko is living in Scottsdale, Arizona and does weekly broadcasts on the Pitt Panthers channel on Comcast.

Or catching a long TD pass on a flanker option play. Burning Ronde Barber to boot!

31 consecutive possessions without a touchdown prior to that play. I can't even imagine what that means in the era of Mahomes. Lol, wow.

I was at that game. It was an abomination; the worst game I've ever seen by far. The Chiefs won. I didn't care.

Afterward everybody shuffled out of the stadium like zombies. Nobody spoke.

I guess the best thing about Palko driving drunk is that you know he couldn't hit anything.

We drove all the way to Lambeau to see Haley play Palko the entire preseason game against the Packers. I was pretty pissed, Haley was trying to get fired at that time I believe. I would have done it on the spot.

I'd have to see his position title.

Payless Shoes has a revenue of $3 billion and technically the their COs are selling shoes.

Palko was the low point for the pre-Mahomes QB era.

Worse than Casshole, Broken Croyle and Brady Quinn.
