SEARS DELIVERY/REIMBURSMENT SYSTEM SUCKS!

SEARS Delivery SUCKS!!! I bought a new freezer, had them deliver and pick up old one. They called on wednesday and said they would be there between 1:45 and 3:45. So I took off work...3:45 came and got a phone call saying they are running late, they will be there in 45 minutes...waitng, waiting, 5:10 I get a call saying they will be here in 20 minutes, they finally show up at 6:05. Called 4 different numbers and ended up getting a $50.00 gift card...but I'm not satisfied....I'm letting everybody and every message board no my frustration and going to SEARS tomorrow to do some more complaining.....SEARS DELIVERY SERVICE AND THIER REIMBURSMENT SYSTEM SUCKS!!!!!!!!

Go take a dump in one of their dressing rooms!

Rain Man 09-06-2012 08:01 PM

My great-grandparents bought a house from them in 1920, but could never figure out what address to ship it to.

Sassy Squatch 09-06-2012 08:01 PM

Yeah. Go yell at some minimum wage peons who probably hate Sears more than you. Thatll show those assholes.

I bet he is the guy that is super rude and yells at the phone rep like they were the ones pulling the strings in the sinister plot meant to waste his time.

ChiefGator 09-06-2012 08:08 PM

Don't order from Sears.com, they are even worse. You end up in call centers in India who tell you it will take a week for them to get you a STATUS on your order. Only time I use Sears is when I can pick it up myself now.

Oh yeah, they have a facebook site. If you post complaints there corporate will contact you and attempt to make it right.

BourbonMan 09-06-2012 08:10 PM

The thing I was trying to do was to let them KNOW...That I was upset and they wasted half my day and I had to cancell other appointment that I had, just to wait on them...I was trying to get my $70.00 delivery fee and my $10.00 fee (for hauling my old one away) reimbursed.

I believe this is the correct thing to do.

Last week the control panel on my 6 year old Kenmore dryer went out. When I called Sears to have a repairman come out to fix it they offered me a $190 one year warrenty on the dryer. They said that I could cancel it later if I wanted so I got it. I later looked up the part to replace the control panel and it cost $260. They are going to come back with the part next week to fix it. With labor it would have cost me about $400 to fix it. Thank you Sears.

I remember as a kid, my mom had them come out and install a door and that door was never right... I haven't really ever dealt with Sears since then.

I have purchased many products from Sears, no complaints on their products or Repair service. This is the first time I used their Delivery service and Last. The other thing was the delivery guys weren't even from this area, they were from Chicago and using a Ryder truck for the deliveries, not a Sears truck...And no, I'm not complaing about people from Chicago, just Sears and their Delivery System.

Did you think maybe the Ryder truck could have been a rental because their Sears truck broke down?

Or that the delivery driver gig was a cover of some sort, perhaps they were terrorists!

MOhillbilly 09-06-2012 08:43 PM

From about 12 on I really looked forward to the Sears catalog.

They had toys, they had women's underwear, they had riding lawnmowers, they had hammocks...they would keep me occupied for days.

Well no SH.T it was a Rental and it was subcontracted out, the guys even told me so. My point is, if Sears is going to run their Delivery Sytem like this, then they need to take responsibilty for the guys they hire and keep their Customers happy. All I was asking for, was my $80.00 for the Delivery fee to be reimbursed, and they wouldn't even do that...It's not like I was asking for a Free freezer, I guess I should be happy that I complained enough to get a $50.00 Gift card. Like I said before, First time using their Delivery System and it will be the Last time.

how about Home Depot? When I bought a ****ing dryer from them, they were like "we will deliver it to you on Wednesday sometime between 6am -10am," I'm like, that day doesn't work, have anything on Thursday or Friday and they told me that I don't get to pick, it has to be that time. I was so ****ing pissed, then they showed up at 5:30am, early but I sure as **** didn't want to wake up that early. Last time I order anything from home depot. Oh ya and that dryer already broke a year later too BECAUSE ITS MADE IN ****ING CHINA

Fishpicker 09-07-2012 03:23 AM

well bourbon man, you need to use a bit of discernment. Dont buy major appliances from SEARS and stop drinking Bison piss.

Saulbadguy 09-07-2012 05:48 AM

Sears is going out of business soon. fwiw.

Home Depot? Sears?

I bought my new deep freeze AND my new fridge from AMAZON.

They delivered it ON TIME, brought it in, unboxed it, plugged it in, and TRANSFERRED ALL OF MY FOOD FROM THE OLD UNIT TO THE NEW.

And on top of all of that, I paid HALF of what Sears wanted for a 16.5 cubic ft deep freeze.

And part of the rain forest died a little inside...

Was it actually from Amazon, or from a reseller selling through Amazon? That's some serious savings, though.

ROFL

The deep freeze was through Amazon directly.

saphojunkie 09-07-2012 08:49 AM

I bought my grill through Sears, and when it came out there was a a major piece bent like an elbow. The return of that, plus getting back my shipping costs (considering I had to take it into the store - pretty much negating the point having it delivered), plus getting the same model - all a nightmare.

Never again with that place.

Saulbadguy 09-07-2012 09:02 AM

I had a bad experience w/ Nebraska Furniture Mart delivery recently. They gave me $100 store credit. ASK FOR MORE!!

Yeah, we've had issues with NFM in the past but they've been pretty good about making sure we're happy in the end.

A happy ending???

Wow, now that IS good service!

BourbonMan 09-07-2012 11:46 AM

UPDATE: Went to the Sears store this morning, did some more complaining. Got another $50.00 Gift Card. So total, $100.00, which is what it cost for the delivery and haul away of old, which is what I wanted reimbused in the first place. I'm content now, but will never use their Delivery Service again.

pr_capone 09-07-2012 11:50 AM

Thanks for the update. I was on the edge of my seat waiting to see how this all was going to play out.

And had they said no... I would not have been angry with them. BUT, they provided me with good customer service and I will be sure to continue attending their theater at a higher price than I would pay for the other theater in town. Why? Better sound, better service, and better concessions... even if I have to pay $3.50 more per ticket.

Once BourbonMan uses the fridge for its designated life span, he should call Sears and try to return it.

I called 4 different numbers, because each one of them said they couldn't help me and told me to try this number. The last number I called, the lady called the Store where I purchased from and they told her that they would not do anything about it. She then turned around and offered me the $50.00 gift card and she then told me if it was her, she would go to the store in person, to see if I could get more
