Done
Any idiot with half a brain knows this team needs a QB. Insanity is trying the same thing over and expecting different results.
Insert smiley willy or whoever that dude is, I'm going fly fishing, see ya draft day. Eat a dick and see ya when a QB comes along. |
I won't eat a dick but I am fairly sure that I will be doing something the coming Sundays.
I didn't care much after the loss. Turned off the stream when casshole fumbled Posted via Mobile Device |
im used of sucking now. this franchise is the ONLY franchise since 1984 that has not even attempted draft a qb in the first around. Thats 27 years, its also no shocking that there is only 1 play off win in that time.
I dont think its gonna get better in the next few years either. |
Yeah, they need a lot more than just a QB. This is the first year I've had to work in Sundays in roughly forever. I always made sure I wouldn't have to work on Sundays. When I took this job they told me Sundays were a requirement and I accepted the job. I have zero regrets at this point.

27 years wow not good not good at all .

Feel ya.....I just don't have the same passion for Chiefs football like I used to. Probably my age, but it's mostly for a a team I feel like has just been spinning it's wheels for the past decade and a half.
|
I turned it off after the missed FG. I knew that was going to be the turning point.
I wasn't wrong, never am. I think I stopped caring 4 years ago. I have better things to do than get all emotionally invested in another 8-8 team. I'm too busy to care anymore. |
Cry Cry Cry!

No, Cassel will never lead this team far, let alone to a SB Championship.
That said, the fact that people want to focus on Cassel as the root of our problems after yesterday's debacle makes me  |

I knew what to expect this weekend. Too many injuries.

If only Pioli would draft a decent holder for Succop. Laces out damnit!

Cassel IS a major problem. Pioli is the root of the problem. |

So if we all know this, why get so upset? I used to all the time then I realized it's stupid. Did you pick the players? Do you have any say whatsoever in who the Chiefs get? No. So why take it personally? |

I DVR the games and watch them on time delay so I can turn +3 hours of pain and suffering into 45 minutes. That made the second half easier to handle.

I refuse to let the Chiefs ruin the rest of my Sunday and continue watching football and checking on my fantasy team’s score. |
Come on people. Don't give up so easy. Atlanta is a regular season juggernaut. We were missing key players. So we aren't a great team...again. It will get better though. I promise.

The lost was not on Cassel.

Trent Green was the only QB we had, (Joe Montana briefly), who I felt could bring us back from a 14-17 point deficit. When we are down by 10 with Cassel, I feel like we are done. That's terrible but it's the truth as a fan for 41 years.....:banghead: |

The difference between this year and last so far is that at least offensively we looked pretty good for a good majority of the game, before we were forced to become one dimensional. We can't be a one dimensional offense. We have to be balanced in order to have any success. Usually our defense will allow for that. |

Does anyone other than Barrys Kool Aid and BossChief not expect this team to suck every year?

I ate too much killer tri tip sandwich at the tailgate yesterday to eat any dicks, but thanks for the offer. I am disappointed by the D, even with the loss of the starters, but will wait a few games to make my determination of how this team really is. I may be spending alot more time workin on the old jeep and hunting, and a litlle less time watching them if they are the abortion they were in the second half yesterday.

anyone that concludes that this game was about the QB had already decided to 'give up' anyway. if our defense was even mediocre against Atlanta we win in a walk Hell, if our defense has just gotten a turnover in the first half we probably win because we get the lead and can use the run more. More runs for Charles = more big chunks. |

I'm certainly not happy, but I'm not ready to pull the plug on them until I see the defense play at full strength. I think this is a much better team than yesterday's abortion indicated. That was a horrible first team to play, especially with dumb **** Hali serving his dope suspension.

Hali-Mr. Clean getting suspended for being around drugs The Saints-getting their suspensions overturned before playing the Chiefs etc. |
There's people who are even considering giving up on their team for the season, after week one?
|
I'm with otter on this, Until we see a change at QB I am investing no more emotion in this team. I'll watch the games but it won't rule my Sundays. More importantly for the Chiefs organization I am spending no more money on the NFL or the Chiefs specifically. I've told my family no Chiefs gifts until Cassel is gone.
I realize the front office will never know but I don't see the logic in supporting an organization that refuses to change. |

The Chiefs are basically the Royals of the NFL. Both teams in a small market with cheap owners that are not willing to spend the required money to win a championship. It would not surprise me at all if both teams were relocated at some point.
Pioli would have been smarter to wait for GM opening with a team that has an Owner that is driven by the quest to attain a Superbowl ring in lieu of profit margin. |

Clearly drafting a DE is the top priority for 2013. |
You'd give up on a team just like that? When they do win, please don't come back.

IMHO KC will have to wheel and deal into the top 5 to draft a valuable QB, and I'm guessing that's not what Pioli wants to do. |

While I understand the frustration these threads make me chortle.... as I turn on the Royals game. Pusses. :) |

Personally, I'd like to see Pioli fired immediately and unceremoniously. I know it's the first game, blah blah blah, but I'd love to see Clark Hunt walk into Pioli's office and just say, "sorry Scott, it just hasn't worked out for any of us. Pack up your things in this box and Security will escort you to your car." Or better yet, Clark Hunt would walk into Scott Pioli's office with a live grenade and say "this is for the good of the Kansas City Chiefs franchise" just before he threw it on the floor and blew both of them into tiny little pieces. We're screwed until Pioli is fired. With the usual Hunt urgency in terms of putting a winning product on the field, that won't happen for at least 2 more crappy seasons. |

I cannot take another year without getting a QB. Or trying. If this is what it takes, so be it. I have not liked Cassel since 2010, even during that season you could see the guy has zero accuracy. Completion percentage masks inaccuracy with him. I can't take it anymore. |
