Shannon Sharpe on NFL Today Game Cap
I hate this guy...always have...but man...he acted like the whole panel was a part of a conspiracy to pretend that Cassel has any business playing NFL quarterback. Nobody responded. It was kinda' funny. He was like "I can't do this anymore...he's just a terrible quarterback". He threw his hands in the air. LMAO
Usually these guys seem obligated to be somewhat tempered in how they cover and analyze the players...but Sharpe seemed to be uninterested in filtering his thoughts. |
Please stop posting stuff to make me like Shannon Sharpe.
|
don't you mean "usually these guys keep the hard sale of NFL going no matter what".
|
Yeah i saw that, "He just can't play."
|
Shannon Sharpe is hilarious

You cant beat anybody with 6 turnovers. And yeah, a few of those weren't on him.... but we've seen enough. He's got to go.
|
I really hoped Quinn would start the 2nd half.

I actually grew to respect Shannon Sharpe after hearing his induction speech into the hall of fame. He seems like a legit good human being. He was also a helluva player, and you have to respect that. And he is dead on about Matt Cassel. He can't play, and why our coach and GM continue to have him start is beyond me. Put Quinn in and see what he can do. He certainly couldn't do much worse than our current QB. Cassel has been given 3 years to show us what he can do...more than enough time to evaluate him. Its time for a change.
|
Sharp is just about as big of a clueless and illiterate jackass as they come. How he got a job as an NFL analyst is beyond me. HOWEVER, he's spot on with Casshole and Matt has to be shown the bench by RC if he expects his tenure to continue beyond this season.

I heard about this on Facebook. I need to see the video.

I hate Shannon Sharpe, and I did not see this, but just hearing that he stepped up and said something makes me want to send him a hand-written thank you letter

Good to see someone picked me up and posted video. Watch it and...and just TRY to resist wanting to hug that stupid horse-mouth of a former Tight End...
|
The media can see it. The whole league can see it. But yet we won't make a change. It's torture watching Cassel play QB.
|
The Chiefs are smarter than the entire league. They have been for decades.

Jesus F***ing Christ, I guess a stopped clock is right every one in a while. He can still DIAF though...

Sounds like a producer told him to keep his mouth shut.

Where can a Denver resident see or hear someone local that will actually rip this shit show of an organization online? Neither 810 or 610 are talking Chiefs, is there anywhere to watch local post game press conferences online?
Fugg Cassel, Pioli, and his whipping boy Romeo! |

Yeah, Quinn could be worse...but at least TRY man...damn dude
|
May as well throw Stanzi out there at this point. Get us prime draft position!

Quinn has Tebow's arm without the mobility. Having Quinn as the backup had to be an intentional Pioli move to protect his $60M investment.

Shannon Sharpe can stick a flaming wooden dowel rod up his Donk Ass.
However, he is right on this particular point. But we've all known that for the last three years. |

Romeo hopefully knows that it is not just his ass on the line if this doesn't work out this season. Meaning he has talked to Clark and Pioli that if he is stuck with Cassel it will not be his head that rolls because of Cassel. I don't want Quinn in there to show that there might be a way other than QB to go in the draft. I don't think Quinn would do any better than Cassel but I don't know if he might be able to have a good game and get us a win here or there. I don't think Cassel is capable. We will probably win a game or 2 because of our running game and or Defense making a play. One of those probably has already happened in the Saints game. |

Someone should loop that in Pioli's office til they agree to tell Cassel to GTFO.

changed the subject QUICK! I'm guessing they are not supposed to focus on how bad a team or player is to protect the product but some undeniable facts are getting too hard to ignore.
Dan Marino's smug laugh spoke multitudes (unless he was just laughing at Shannon's immaturity in breaking script). Either way.. kudos to Sharpe for the call-out. We need more of this. Pick the bugs off of the bread and keep selling. /IllumiNFLati thanks for posting the vid! |

But nope, we're stuck with him from here on, Romeo made it clear in his first post-game comments. |

How a coach can stand on the sideline and watch that pathetic performance, and then try to point to the Saints game (an aberration) as an example of Shatt Cassel's skills and leadership, as a reason to stick with him as the starter, is reason enough to show him the ****ing door. Bob Dole wanted to believe that RC had learned something about being a head coach over the years, but his decision to assume both HC and DC responsibilities, his Hermlike clock management, and his comments yesterday on Cassel, leave Bob Dole with no hope. This team is a circus without a competent ringmaster. |
The more I think about it...you can't really blame Matt Cassel for making the same mistakes over and over. That's the Chiefs organizational culture, now. Pioli keeps making the same mistakes...Romeo keeps making the same mistakes. Nobody grows...nobody learns from their mistakes and nobody changes. It's the "norm" from the top, down. Cassel fits with the leadership of this organization.

He learned that the only way to get a HC job when you suck as bad as he does is to get in with an arrogant, power-hungry GM and do every last thing he tells you to do, no matter how stupid. |

Romeo is looking real stupid right now, but I don't think he is actually that stupid. |

They need to start Quinn from here on out and this is the reason why. They need to eliminate every possible QB on this roster. We know Cassel sucks. Get rid of him. If Quinn comes in and sucks....guess what.....get rid of him. If Stanzi has nothing.....get ****ing rid of him. Every one of those would be a strike against Pioli. |

The worst, absolute worst thing, that could happen to this team is Quinn come in and play a little better than Cassel and steal an additional 2-3 wins. Screw that. I don't want anyone saving Pioli's job. |
Sharpe looked like he was upset at how far his old rival has fallen.
