The number of blowouts during the Pioli era is truly remarkable.
I’m defining a blowout as a game where we lose by more than 14 points. Anything more than 14 just isn’t being competitive at all.
Just over 3 Years during the Pioli era, 18 blowouts. Look at the # per year. 2012 09/09/12 - L - 40,24 (Falcons) 09/16/12 - L - 35,17 (@ Bills) 09/30/12 - L - 37,20 (Chargers) 10/14/12 - L - 38,10 (@ Tampa Bay) 11/01/12 - L - 31,13 (@ San Diego) 2011 09/11/11 - L - 41,7 (@ Bills) 09/18/11 - L - 48,3 (@ Lions) 11/06/11 - L - 31,3 (Phins) 11/21/11 - L - 34,3 (@ Pats) 12/11/11 - L - 37,10 (@ Jets) 2010 11/14/10 - L - 49,29 (@ Broncos) 12/12/10 - L - 31,0 (@ Chargers) 01/02/11 - L - 31,10 (Raiders) 01/09/11 - L - 30,7 (Ravens) Playoff game… Awesome. Thanks) 2009 09/27/09 - L - 34,14 (@ Eagles) 10/25/09 - L - 37,7 (Chargers) 11/29/09 - L - 43,14 (@ Chargers) 12/06/09 - L - 44,13 (Broncos) |
Add the games where we were dominated, but the scores were close for some BS reason.
2009 @ Ravens 2009 vs Giants One common denominator: http://www.footballnewsnow.com/wp-co..._cassel_sm.jpg |

This team has been truly awful 5 out of the past 6 seasons. From 2007 on....

Gowd that's a whole season of getting blown out. When I go to work I am held responsible
for my performance , this jackass has 63 million tied to his ankle . Sink fatboy , what the hell am I saying this turd is a floater . |

I wonder how that stands in context to the rest of the league. Are we blown out more than most lower-tier teams?
|
If you failed at your job that badly, would you still be working there?
Oh, wait, Pioli's job isn't about winning, it's about $$$$$$. |

You were entirely TOO lenient by going with a 2 TD mark.
Look at how many games they've lost by at least THREE TDs (21 points). It's still ELEVEN GAMES and that's not counting the losses by 20. That's absolutely unbelievable. |

The rest are Cassel. Common denominator. |
Look at the Patriots losses in 2008 with Cassel
38-13 to Miami 30-10 to San Diego 33-10 to Pittsburgh The other two losses were field goals win by Jets and Colts. |
Wow...i knew it was bad, but seeing those numbers makes it even worse.

Good stats here. So sickening that we haven't even been competitive this year. Pathetic.

78 percent Cassel.
Most common denominator for sure. Croyle and Palko are shittier versions of Cassel and therefore get us butt****ed to a greater degree. |
I know that Cassel's complete ineptitude plays a huge role in these games turning into blowouts, but the defense hasn't done much to help.
Week 1: Falcons TD on opening drive Week 2: Bills TD on 2nd drive Week 3: Saints TD on opening drive Week 4: Chargers TD on opening drive This defense was supposed to be a strength. So far this season they have stunk up the joint, and the stinking has started well before the offense's failure can be used as an excuse. Cassel is a huge problem, but this team has more problems than just QB. |
Quote:
Cassel, however, would be getting happy feet against KU's defense with the way he's been playing. |
Quote:
The REASON he's the coach, however, is because he was willing to accept Pioli's favorite child at QB. So in the end, Cassel is STILL the problem. |
Quote:
I just want people to recognize that this year, the team's problems extend beyond QB. We might be a better team with a different QB, but the defense so far this year has been very bad. We all believe the individual talent is there. Romeo Crennel is tripping over his own dick at the one thing he's supposedly good at. |

When this team wins it seems to barely win.
When this team loses it seems to get prison raped... |
Thanks PeeWee

An entire ****ing season of games in which we gave up 30+ points and scored double digits in less than 6. Holy ****ing wow! 1/3 of the time we get our ****ing shit pushed in. CLEAN THE ****ING HOUSE, CLARK! YOU'RE LIVING LIKE A BUM!
|
And the hits just keep on coming.
Tied our record of 5 blowouts from last year. Don't settle fore tying that record boys. Go get it. |
19 blowouts in 57 games.
MORE LOSSES BY 14+ POINTS THAN ANY 4-YEAR STRETCH IN TEAM HISTORY. |

Where is the post game press conference with Romeo saying he doesn't understand how we could suck this bad?
|
i cant find a press conference. KCchiefs.com cut it down to under a minute. ****ers.
|
OP is missing the 2009 season opener, BTW.
We lost by 14, and were dominated in total yards. Make no mistake, that was a blowout of sorts. Only thing that kept it close was a blocked punt and an INT return. Team was dominated. |
The team has (arguably) been soft going back as far as 1999 (when I moved here, I didn't watch them closely before that). It's amazing how many old school coaches, and how many defensive coaches, have come through here, but none of them have been able to turn this franchise into a knock-you-on-your-ass kind of team. They just get physically dominated. It happened under Goonther, it happened under Vermeil when they ran a finesse offense but struggled in late game short-yardage (and just got obliterated on defense...), it happened under Herm and Haley, and now they're even softer now under Crennell. It just boggles the mind. Sometimes, going back at least that far, it just seems like there's no pride, no heart, no desire, just guys out there getting paid to play a game. Which makes it really difficult as a fan. And it's worse now than it's ever been, even after overhauling so much of the roster since 2008.
|
The two things I learned from Browns fans were:
A) Inmates ran the asylum. B) Soft ass football team. Haley actually put some toughness in this team, IMO. Firing him was the right move, but made us worse because Crennel is awful. |

And I remember getting ATTACKED with stuff like "he was only there for a couple days, how would he know?" Obviously he DID know because this team is EVERY BIT as soft as those ****ing Browns teams. |

I'd say 17 is close. Certainly 20. Just about all of these qualify. Well done, Scott. |

The way I see it, if you score two standard TDs and still lose? That's a blowout. Now last time I updated this list, I think I was looking for just 14. Will recheck now and update. |
