Scout tells NFL Network's Albert Breer that Matt Cassel is "playing scared"
One AFC scout tells NFL Network's Albert Breer that Matt Cassel is "playing scared" this season.
"Doesn't trust his line. He's a game manager and is struggling to do that job," said the scout. "Teams are trying to stop the run, in order to force him to try and be more than he is. He needs a clean pocket." Cassel is on pace for a whopping 40 turnovers this season. Since ex-coordinator Charlie Weis announced his departure, Cassel is completing just 56.7 percent of his passes to go with a 15:21 TD-to-INT ratio and less than 200 yards per game. Oh great . Now the cat's outta the bag.
|
You may as well retire, Matt. You posed for 8 seasons as an NFL QB. That's a pretty damn good run for someone who should have been aborted with the rest of the college trash every draft.
Take your bony weird-looking bitch wife with the huge hands, take your money, and enjoy the rest of life. You won. |
Solution: FIRST-ROUND OL

Maybe Im qualified to be a scout, and I only see the games on TV, but Ive thought that Matt has played scared ever since he came to KC. Even when he has protection, if his first read is covered, it's over.

The "Depends" weren't a dead give away?
|
Matt Cassel is awesome y'all just haters!
|
Obviously, it's the line's fault he sucks.
|
You know if we could combine Cassel's ability to stick around, with Quinn's arm, Green's ability to scan the field, Thigpen's ability to scramble and Croyle's wife we'd have a pretty good QB.

Thread Title: WE JUST LANDED ON THE MOON!!!
A lot of us has been saying this for YEARS. |
The "Depends" aren't as soft as last year...
|
RE: OP - I've thought that since the beginning of the year. If i were a in the league OR lucky enough to be an NFL QB - Please believe I'd eat Ribeyes and whole chickens about 5 or 6 times a day ON TOP of my lifting routine. Does Matt even lift?
Pathetic but true One thing about BQ is - that guy is strong as an Ox, I commend him for that, at least. |

He probably plays so bad because she's constantly nagging him due to there being 6 garbage bags all around the can and none in it... |

Really??????????????? |
He's always been a running scared kind of player because he doesn't understand how to play QB.
|
And in other news; fire is hot, water is wet and the sun will come up in the east tomorrow.

Kiper's top 5 was listed last night on ESPN. Don't recall all the names, but top 4 went... 1. OLB Georgia 2. Barkley 3. DE LSU 4. DE LSU 5. Don't remember... but it wasn't Geno Smith :banghead: |
Kiper's a maroon.

With a completely solid and well-cushioned pocket. And only half the time. |
In other breaking news, "Cassel is not a quality QB!" Alert the mother ****ing presses!

He also took something like 50 sacks. EDIT: Sorry ... 47 sacks. Oh, and that's just shy of 10% of his pass attempts that year. FAX |

The only thing that would suck is if Clark hires Lake Dawson.

The writing is on the banner, not the wall. Stupid. |
Lets put it this way. He's playing scared against Atlanta, Buffalo, and Chargers. Wait til the Ravens get a piece of that ass. They'll be like Sharks sensing blood

I fear that Dr. Evil may yet have CK's ear and has also likely conjured up some sort of spooky, New England, graveyard demon to possess Clark and influence his decisions. I may have to pull out the old spell book on this one. FAX |
Chiefs fans scared that Cassel will continue playing, so it's basically a wash.
|
I'll enjoy watching football this Sunday. I've stayed away from CP, the radio, and anything NFL all week so i could get over my frustrations.
My mind is in the right place now. I'll enjoy Matt Cassel continuing to hang himself. |

Why be scared of the Ravens?
Its not like Ray Lewis and the gang would ever try to kill anybody...sec |
Actually, the ratbirds defense isn't all that great is it? Pretty sure it's their offense that is pulling the cart this year but I could be wrong...

6th in interception yardage. 2nd in interception touchdowns. EDIT: Oh ... and allowing 20.8 points per game, it appears. We can't score that many until after the game is well out of hand. Through 3 quarters of play, we've scored 17, 3, 13, and 13 (I think) ... that's an average of 11.5 points ... not counting the 4th quarter by which time we're usually well out of the game. FAX |
Weis truly turned out to be a miracle worker. Thank God he didn't stay though, because Cassel probably would have seen the end of his contract as our starting QB.

Meh, it all balances out. This year their defense is worse but offense is better. |
Chiefs | Could part ways with Matt Cassel after 2012
Sat, 06 Oct 2012 09:02:07 -0700 The Kansas City Chiefs could decide to part ways with QB Matt Cassel after this season and not suffer from a significant cap hit. The Chiefs have already paid Cassel $40.5 million over the first three years of a six-year deal and only have modest base salaries remaining. As a result, the team can make a move and still have plenty of money left over. Read more: http://www.kffl.com/hotw/nfl#ixzz28XXc3rCl |

Can't we trade his ass and get something? Surely there's somebody out there stupid enough to give us a 5th.
FAX |
Pioli won't cut Cassel unless Hunt orders him to, in order to save his job.
The fact he is angry over the fan revolution is proof of that. A sane, reasonable person would be sheepishly humbled by all of this. This bastard owes the fan base an apology but we won't get one. Ever. We got one from Marty, somewhat, and I always respected him for that. |
