Cassel could be released next season....
Earth shattering......
Chiefs | Could part ways with Matt Cassel after 2012 Sat, 06 Oct 2012 09:02:07 -0700 The Kansas City Chiefs could decide to part ways with QB Matt Cassel after this season and not suffer from a significant cap hit. The Chiefs have already paid Cassel $40.5 million over the first three years of a six-year deal and only have modest base salaries remaining. As a result, the team can make a move and still have plenty of money left over. |
The sky could fall too...

Pioli fired, Cassel released.
It will happen. Chiefsplanet demands it. |

Neg rep, you useless ****.

I think it's safe to assume that we will have a new QB next season...
I feel like I am finally to the last chapter of a terrible ****ing book that I have to finish for work... |

next season isn't soon enough.

No matter what happens from here out. Cassel is GONE.
Rejoice Chiefs fans. There is no way that the gears that are in motion can be stopped now. The Media will crucify this organization if we stick with Cassel. I have no doubt in my mind that Clark wants a top young prospect now. That was one of the first things he said when taking over the team, and now knows he made a huge mistake listening to Pioli. If he really loves money as much as everyone says he does, he's got to be PISSED about the 40 mil he has handed over to Cassel. That said, Cassel is like a ****ing lottery winner. He hasn't earned a damn dime of that money, and is living like a KING. |
This thread made me horny :-/

Is this something we didn't already know?

Ground-breaking

A) made thousands of people miserable. B) Pissed and shat on four years of the careers of players who were actually good. |
If Cassell turns it around just a little he will stay because they owe him very little money and would really get a cheap QB if they keep him.
I am pulling for you Matt, hang in there kid |
Promises, promises, believe it only when it happens.

We just need Baltimore to finish the job tomorrow. What's great about this season is Cassel does not get a free ride, there are no Curtis Painter's or Donovan Mcnabb's on the schedule. No 0-3 teams he gets to play back to back. TB won't be a walk in the park either despite their 1-3 record. |

Breathe the sweet air. Tomorrow could be the last time we see cassel as the starting qb of our Kansas City chiefs

I agree, I dont think Romeo was too fond of Cassel from the beginning. Not this year, there are no 0-3 Colts or Vikings to bail him out like last year |

If Romeo pulls cassel, he's done as a chief

I just hope the fans boo Matt long and hard even after he completes a pass.

If he fakes an injury... Well.....

A nice 3 and out to start the game would set the tone |

Look, you guys must win 5 this year, 6 would be better
|
I'll deal with a yea of suck, hell we are all used to it. Just do it right this year
|
Wow.
The alien that stuck to the side of my head in that is that Matt Cassel is being paid over 13 MILLION DOLLARS a year to suck. Doesn't want to pay Bowe. Didn't want to pay Carr. But Cassel? Oh yeah Pioli. You can pay Matt Cassel. Just wow. |

It's his job to win, not to lose. If he fakes or goes down with an injury, he is done here. |
if they don't, I'm done until Pioli is gone.

we are the Chiefs. We will **** up our draft position. |
We should ask for a refund. Hard to believe we paid a QB that much and all they want from him is not to lose the game for them and rely on everyone else to get a win.

Let's pray to God McDaniels finds a way to get a hc job so we can trade him there.

Maybe we need to hire Oliver Luck as our GM. He would probably go after Geno.
|
The way things are in KC right now, it's gonna be a qb in the first. It's never been like this before media and fans wise. Pioli knows its either cassel out and a new qb or its pioli gone. Might be that already

If Cassel is released, outside of my initial relief, my reaction will be "better late than never."
|
I would really like to see a game again between us that actually meant something and was played and won by the team that played the hardest and made the plays instead of it always being like the winner was just the one who ****ed up the least....
I want to come here and talk some smack and hear some again someday... This year,Win or lose when we play, don't expect a hellluva lot from me, My heart just ain't in it no more |

No ****ing way would I let Pioli chose the new qb.
He had years to watch Cassel and did what he did. Palko Quinn Shit, the guy is so terrible at picking qbs I am questioning my belief in Stanzi. Pioli needs to be fired. Period. |
