Did anyone catch what Norv Turner just said to Drew Brees?

It sounded like he said something about Kansas City, but I couldn't make it out. Seems like a weird subject for him to be speaking about.

cabletech94 10-07-2012 09:44 PM

he left his face putty cream in kc?

qabbaan 10-07-2012 09:44 PM

He did say Kansas City, I thought, but I don't know what else.

tk13 10-07-2012 09:44 PM

"At least your fans didn't throw you under the bus like those idiots in Kansas City."

BigMeatballDave 10-07-2012 09:45 PM

He does say Kansas City, but that's all I can make out.

jspchief 10-07-2012 09:45 PM

He definately said something "... In Kansas City"

Mr. Arrowhead 10-07-2012 09:45 PM

He said "Your a tad bit better than that Kansas City Quarterback we played last week"

LMAO

FAX 10-07-2012 09:45 PM

I think he said, "I'll give you a call once I'm settled in Kansas City."

FAX

CaliforniaChief 10-07-2012 09:46 PM

Maybe it was, "Geez, I suck. Even Kansas City beat you guys."

Papi 10-07-2012 09:47 PM

Watched this a few times on dvr. Sounds like Norv says to him "you've come a long way since.....(can't understand).... and third in Kansas City." Then Brees smiles and says "that's right."

jspchief 10-07-2012 09:50 PM

Did his streak start in KC?

cmh6476 10-07-2012 09:50 PM

something about the refs call?

Chiefs Pantalones 10-07-2012 09:51 PM

I keep rewinding it lol can't understand

ThaVirus 10-07-2012 09:52 PM

Did Brees get hurt (and end his Chargers stent) in Kansas City?

I heard "dirty, but maybe it was "thirty". "You've come a long way since 3rd and 30 in Kansas City." A reference to a bad day in KC maybe. Not sure, but it sounded like "dirty".

notorious 10-07-2012 09:53 PM

"Thank God you weren't traded to Kansas City".

morphius 10-07-2012 09:54 PM

You'd have to figure it would be something like that, SD probably figured since we beat the Saints and SD beat us so badly that this would be a walk in the park.

chiefs1111 10-07-2012 09:55 PM

Maybe he said "They got some great BBQ in Kansas City"

Discuss Thrower 10-07-2012 09:55 PM

Braes first career start was inkc

Phobia 10-07-2012 09:56 PM

I'm sure he said the same thing I've been thinking all night, "How did Kansas City beat the Saints?"

Brock 10-07-2012 09:56 PM

Norv was his offensive coordinator in 2001.

I think he got hurt at home in SD against the Broncos

KChiefer 10-07-2012 09:58 PM

His first NFL action was 2001 hosting KC. Norv was the OC.

Might have had something to do with this game in 2005? The Chiefs knocked the Chargers out of the playoff race on that December day in KC and Brees was just awful in the poor weather. He left the Chargers after that season for the Saints.

rtmike 10-07-2012 10:11 PM

Looking at the scores from back then some things never change except of course the KC/SD game.

@KC was his 2nd last Chargers game, though, and the last one that meant anything.

I would like to point out that is the only game thread I have ever started on this board. Drew Brees probably owes most of his success to me.
