A Change Gonna Come
nick wright @getnickwright
Looks like @BillMaas & I are hearing the same things. Changes could be brewing at Arrowhead. Just think it'll be slower than fans would @BillMaas: I assure you that Clark Hunt has taken the Bull by the horns and is addressing the Chiefs 2 biggest concerns |
|
$15 beers!

I believe there is a lot of smoke between Fescoe and this. Where there's smoke, there's usually fire. And didn't Wright get the Haley firing right last year? And Fescoe broke something earlier this year, too, IIRC.

Yeah this is all super but until I see these "changes" I ain't buying in on any of this crap.
|
We gave 3 big concerns. Pioli, Cassel, and RAC.

So if this is true, he is firing Pioli. If that is true, then I doubt he is leaking it months ahead of time, which would mean it's happening now. Why would Wright say not fast enough for fans?

Now you have to wonder what Clark thinks are the Chiefs two biggest concerns.
If it's candy wrappers and low parking prices... |

I would say the biggest concerns are the fan base and the GM. Ridding the team of this poison of a GM will go a long way with the fan base, and a new GM will take care of the other issues we have around here (coach, QB, etc.)

Slower? not gannna work.

Piloi bribed Maas and Wright.

Not sure what the second concern is in Clark's mind. Head coach? General manager? Defensive coordinator? |

Even though I've seen it now hundreds of times, that gif always makes me chuckle. |
Pioli is getting a contract extension.

The QB that fumbles on the 1 inch line and the HC that punts with 12 seconds left are done !
|
I would think the two big concerns are what was on the banner.

I luv you man. no homo. |
The 2 biggest concerns BY FAR are Pioli and Cassel. RAC has severely dissappointed me, as he is yet another yes man, but Pioli is #1, and we absolutely cannot win w/ Cassel under center. Take care of those 2, and let's shoot for another 5-tech in teh middle of 1st round next year!!
Oh wait! Pioli is gone in this scenario, so maybe we'll get our ILB instead. |
If Cassel starts another game, this info is bs.
|
Hunt's doing a joint press conference with Winston to take fans to task for their poor fandom.

Obviously, if one watched the game, the #1 problem is Cassel, and #2 has to be related to Cassel someway I'd imagine.
|
Cassel to IR, David Garrard signed.
|
How the defense plays the rest of the season will determine if RC should be thought of to come back as D cord, his dicision making so far shows he is definately not head coach ready still.
If we want to build for the future we need to lose every meaningless game the rest of the season and draft a QB. We need to bring in someone who is good at the draft. This next draft is so important, as it could turn the Chiefs into an NFL powerhouse. I think we should get a coach who can mold the new QB IMO. |
"2 biggest concerns" are GM and QB.
|
Not that I think it will happen, but if RAC gets canned does Mo Carthon take over?
|
It's obvious......our two biggest concerns are OT and 3-4 DE.

Okay, I am not good on twitter, but can someone just straight up ask Maas what the two concerns are?

Clark's 2 biggest concerns...
1) Ticket sales 2) QB |

2) finding someone to service his show wife |

1) How his suit looks
2) What's for dinner |
no, it's the guy from Saturday night Live

But lets look at the history. When he hired Scott, he shelled out a ton of money for a GM and got the consensus #1 guy out there. No fault in that. He did his part. Looks like it didn't work out. And that's fine. He took his shot. Now it's just time for Clark to try again with a new GM. If he does that, I'll be satisfied that he's trying. If he sticks with Scott, that will completely change my opinion. |
there was rumor that scott had already signed an extension
I bet we won't hear about for months now... |

My pick for GM is Bill Polian... |
Quote:
Clark hasn't run the Chiefs long enough for me to say that he's done a terrible job. His first order of business was to remove Peterson from power, which was a good move. His second order of business was to hire the best GM available, which at the time, was Scott Pioli. Can't fault him for that. Lets see what he does next. |

WTF has Polian done? |

Clark DOES care. We are gonna get our 1st round QB next year. Mark it down.
|
not directed at your BT, but I'll believe it when I see it. I'm so burned out on this team, I don't expect them to do anything right.
IMO |

Drafting Landry Jones is NOT a good thing. |
Quote:
If Andrew Luck doesn't work out, does that mean the Colts mess it up? No. They got the consensus #1 best QB since Elway. They took their shot. It's all about what Clark does now. |
What is Clark's opinion of the Chiefs two biggest concerns?

Anyone with their finger on the pulse of this team knows there will be changes at the end of the year... this is news? Starting 0-3 last year and 1-4 this year... not good enough. Like Fatlock said all you have to do to keep this cowtown satisfied is win at Arrowhead and you have 'em. |
I was on board with Pioli 100% when he was hired.
but, mid-way through last year, and after this draft.....and these games....I'm done with him. Carlk needs to admit his error and remove Pioli. building a contender no longer takes 5+ years. |

C. Hunt is probably disappointed with the fan base and is considering relocating the team to L.A..

Clark is not the enemy. |
If you hire a GM who demonstrates an understanding of the importance of the QB position with a proven track record of properly evaluating QB's, then I'm fine. We'll draft the right guy, and do whatever it takes to get him.

Pioli has a mentality of oldschool game-manager type of football and we all know that shit only leads to mediocracy at best. (Besides Trent Dilfers' fluke team) Geno Smith is the excitement and has the skillset to lead a team into the playoffs on a yearly basis. Pioli doesn't have the balls to go get him at #1. |
