Positives so far this season?
Besides Houston.
? |
In before #1 draft pick.
|
cassel era is done.
|
Charles is clearly healthy.
Houston looks like a legit compliment to Hali. A young defense looks like it's slowly starting to get it... |
No ACL injuries.
 |

Ugh, I got Houston and Winston mixed up for about a half second.....presumably because I was researching what other "bad QB situations" Winston has been in prior to this year...I'm assuming when he was in Houston in 2006, they had about had it with Carr...I honestly can't remember how they treated him. But Winston makes me shudder...the more I think about that interview, the more it pisses me off.
Yes, Houston has been great. And Charles obviously. |

Dustin Colquit has been placing the ball inside the 10 pretty good.
With Dorsey out our D has put more pressure on the QB. |
Bowe looking good when the QB doesn't throw so far behind him that it plunks him in the shoulder pads. Getting some depth going at RB. Secondary starting to come together.
|
Only two positives so far:
The Cassel era is over. Justin Houston emerging as this generation's DT. |
Routt
Houston Charles Colquitt Succop Flowers |
Poe is getting better every week. He was impressive against the Ravens.
Powe has also looked real good when he has been out there. He deserves some more snaps. Albert has been excellent as we have come to expect. The OL has been kicking ass in the run game the past 2 weeks. Bowe is getting open at will. |
Cassel era is coming to a close, they can't keep playing him with all of this media.
Poe doesn't look bad coming from Memphis, lol Bailey and Powe are panning out Stoutt looks pretty good that's about it. Berry regressing worries me |

Doesn't matter really. Season is already over. |
Offensive line has looked pretty solid even after losing our starting center
McCluster looks like a legit slot receiver Defense has adjusted and looks better ... Crennel is talking to players and making adjustments during the game again. Looks better. Running backs - hillis has looked like crap but he is a inside runner and that tends to never work when a defense is loading up the line of scrimmage. BUT ... it looks like we have 3 possible tailbacks. Charles,Draughn,Gray. looks like Poe and Powe are both going to work out Pitoitua looks like he might be solid Routt looks ok Houston(of course) not much else though :( |

And Berry isn't regressing....he's just not at 100%. |

Berry isn't regressing. The defensive game plan is regressing.
|
winston the mouth is weak link on OL
but they seem to be able to run block we have receivers wiling, and able to catch anything even though they may die JC is JC The d is looking better cassell is out thinking IR and yes I would cheer For Quinn coming in for cassel gettinG injured I would have just said yyyeYeeYAAAH yah |
Routt is NOT good.
He's the 65th rated CB on PFF. Just another Pioli fail. Houston and Charles returning to form are the only good things about this team. |

He has done jack this year outside the opener. |
To me the most positive thing coming out of this season is the exposure of Cassel, Crennel and Pioli...
Not worried so much about the players. New GM and Coach will change or do different things. I will be excited once we make some changes |

Cassel got injured....

The defense is starting to turn the corner maybe. I wana see Baldwin and this core WR group with a decent QB like Quinn.
Charles is a huge positive knock on wood. Most underrated player in the NFL Houston looks like he'll be a superstar and is gona be better than Hali but good for Hali so pressure isnt all on him Ropati, Bailey and Poe is looking better Flowers looks healthy Droughn looks like he'll be a good backup depth RB DMC looks like he could be a great slot WR with a QB that hits him in the numbers |
Quote:
He's garbage. Can't keep his hands off receivers. |
1 and 15 baby!
|
Quote:
Especially Bailey, who has never done shit in the league. He's one of the worst goddamn players in the league at his position. |

And he's still rated higher than Routted. |

Charles is back.
Cassel's moat has been breached. Bowe keeps getting better. That other guy has a few catches this year. Winston is better than Richardson. Houston is half man, half monster. I think the Powe-Poe platter has shown promise. |
Routt has been good. Considering that this team is ranked 10th in pass defense having faced brees, Ryan, rivers and flacco, most players have done quite good in pass D save for Berry.
|
Quote:
Routt sucks. Carr is playing better. Carr would be playing better than Routt in KC because he'd be a #2. You suck. So does Scott Pioli. |
Quote:
Right now he's playing #1 corner. He's only given up six catches. |

No 1st or 2nd... |

Is that not good enough for you? He's 48th, Routt is 65th. Carr > Routt. |
Cassel is on the bench.

I'm not sold on Routt as being better than Carr, but he has held his own against good receivers that are #1's in my book. The Atlanta game is a wash as both receivers are #1's and could eat up Carr in any game. BTW **** Carr in his cowboy ass. He can lick my taint. |

Routt is garbage.
Carr was better in this system. Don't care what he's doing somewhere else. His numbers are also slightly skewed right now because he had one awful game. |
Quote:
|
48th - 65th? Who has Carr covered that's a better receiver than Torrey Smith or Julio Jones?
|
Quote:
And because Carr is MUCH better than Routt, at the end of the season there's going to be a huge gap between them. Guessing Routt stays put, Carr will be top 20. Suck it, Pioli. |

Houston
Charles DJ Offensive line |
You people who think Stanford Routt is a good player are the exact kind of mouth breathers Scott Pioli loves to sell season tickets to.
|
Soooo much fail
|
Quote:
Carr got ate the **** up by Brandon Marshall and Jay Cutler for ****s sake. Who else has Carr covered this year to give him the 48th ranking on PFF? |
Draughn,Charles,Flowers,DJ,Hali,Houston,Elam,Bowe,O-line. pretty much everything except cassell and berry in my opinion.
|
So this thread is about positives and there is bitching about Routt who may not be Carr butt has been a positive.
Some people just like to bitch along their agenda and not stick to the point. |

All i am saying is, is that Routt has not been the PI machine this year like in years past so far. Hell he even had flowers out for what 3 games? Routt is not a great player, but he has been pretty decent. He has matched up with some potent receivers so far as well.
|
How many TD's has Routt given up? He certainly hasn't been a liability out there. I love PFF, but sorry that ranking is a fraud, he's been solid.
|
**** you, you ****ing Scott Pioli homer.
|
McCluster and Baldwin will rape this week :D
|
my positive would be Justin Houston (6 sacks this season.)
i know the OP said other than Houston but i cant think of one. |
BoneKrusher's photoshops are a positive
