Hopes for a Win or Loss with Quinn?

With every range of sentiment flying due to rumors and recent circumstances regarding Cassel's injury, it seems appropriate to gauge where we are as fans.

Do we hope for Quinn to be a hero and scrape up a win for this depressing team and likely prolong mediocrity (assuming that he doesn't "reclaim his career" and become a QBotF), or is continuing to lose our only true salvation?

I'm watching the game tomorrow because I know I'm going to enjoy not seeing Cassel out there, but I don't know if a win is what any of us want considering the weight it could have. We also know that Cassel could very well be fumbling balls on the goal line again after the bye week - so where do we stand? Is this just a repeat of last year, or does a win with Quinn really mean something?

Poll forthcoming.

Simplicity 10-13-2012 01:31 PM

Eugene or bust.

qabbaan 10-13-2012 01:38 PM

I want Quinn to look good and the team to lose, that is the most embarrassing scenario for Pioli

Brock 10-13-2012 01:39 PM

This team needs chemo.

Darckhorse0 10-13-2012 01:43 PM

I want quinn to finally show that hes the draft pick that he was, show he can blaze and operate in dabolls system that he knows, throw to more than just dewayne bowe, and win for us, our Defense cranks, ask baltimore! Lol.

I agree with you, what I don't understand is why some fans don't want Quinn to be successful. It really does not matter to me who our QB is as long as he give us a chance to get to a superbowl. Now Quinn may not be the one but lets hope for the best first and give him a chance with this team.

Fans like you are cancer.

DaFace 10-13-2012 01:48 PM

As per usual, I will never actively root for a Chiefs loss.

You don't have to. They manage it just fine without any encouragement.

whoman69 10-13-2012 01:50 PM

So how does this work? Crap, Baldwin was just hit over the middle for a long gain. Dammit. Charles just got around end for a TD. Double dammit. Big sack by Houston. Frak!!!

kysirsoze 10-13-2012 01:52 PM

I want one of two scenarios that makes it impossible for me to vote. I want either Quinn to be the guy and shock the world, or I want us to lose. I think the latter is MUCH more likely and even if Quinn is good tomorrow, I don't have much faith that'll hold up.

I guess, basically, I'll be rooting for a loss or a miracle.

Reerun_KC 10-13-2012 01:54 PM

Poll and thread fail.

Yeah, in hindsight I should have done more options. Either way, I agree. I'm not rooting for a loss, but if Quinn doesn't amaze the world I don't see the point in winning, either.

I don't buy squirrels online very often, but when I do, I buy them from chiefsplanet.com.

I'm the fan The Chiefs deserve, but not the one it needs right now...

So I'll boo them. Because they can take it. Because I'm not a true fan.

I'm a conscientious objector.

A watchful advocate.

A Drafturbator.

Pioli will look like a genius for picking up Quinn then lol.

Reerun_KC 10-13-2012 02:02 PM

I want whatever gets Cassel back on the field. He is our best chance to rid kc of pioli.

ShortRoundChief 10-13-2012 02:06 PM

I still think it's reeruned to cheer for a loss.

AussieChiefsFan 10-13-2012 07:34 PM

I never like seeing them lose, but right now it's just less painful when they lose. One step closer to Geno Smith.

ShowtimeSBMVP 10-13-2012 07:35 PM

1-15

the Talking Can 10-13-2012 07:35 PM

why on earth would you want this team to win?

Pasta Little Brioni 10-13-2012 07:35 PM

I was a Quinn fan coming out, so in CP fashion I will fight tooth and nail for my inner draft guru!!

Hilarious right? HERP DERP PIOWI DON'T WANT QUINN DO GOOD. Why the **** not? He would beat off to getting a guy off the street tearing it up.

RealSNR 10-13-2012 07:38 PM

I wonder if the people who want to see a win would also treat cancer with herbs.

If you have a tumor, you don't keep it around and just try to halt its growth. You surgically remove it. You KILL it with chemo.

Losses are the answer, assholes.

Pasta Little Brioni 10-13-2012 07:39 PM

This is a 6-7 win team regardless..

luv 10-13-2012 07:40 PM

I see it's the same shit, different season. What slogan is replacing "Suck for Luck"?

Why does it matter? There's no reason to want him to play well because he WON'T. He sucks.

Unsmooth-Moment 10-13-2012 07:46 PM

Like someone mentioned earlier, if Quinn can be the guy that plays well under center and the Chiefs can start winning games, I'll be happy. It would be nice to be able to handpick our QB of the future in the draft, but if Quinn works out we will have a first rounder to spend elsewhere. I would still use one of our first 3 picks on a QB though.

splatbass 10-13-2012 07:46 PM

I always want my team to win. Always.

Geno Smith is a pipe dream anyway.

People are delusional thinking this squad wins 3 or less games. It's ridiculous. Eventually they'll stop giving the ball away 5 times a game and the schedule definately softens.

It'll take a trade up to get one of the big guys more than likely.

Quinn. 11/24 150 1td and 3 ints.

We need this to happen.

keg in kc 10-13-2012 07:58 PM

I always want them to win. I will never, ever root for a loss. Because losing sucks. I can't stand watching losses. I hate it. It makes me turn the games off. And then eventually I lose interest in the team altogether. Which has happened basically every season since I started watching them in '99. What a sad bunch of losers.

Crush 10-14-2012 05:57 AM

1-15 or bust

Hammock Parties 10-14-2012 06:02 AM

I'm positive Brady Quinn is a POS, so he might as well prove it, get us blown out and embarrass Dicktator Pioli further.

Chiefs fans want to win out, win the superbowl and draft Geno

notorious 10-14-2012 06:52 AM

The true source of infestation here. Everything must burn to flush it out.

With that said, it will be hard for me not to cheer the team, though. I will probably slip.

Rausch 10-14-2012 06:53 AM

Just win Quinn...

007 10-14-2012 06:58 AM

There is no way I cannot cheer for my team regardless of how bad they are, it always gives you that false glimmer of hope that this may be the game they turn it around... Even when that bumbling idiot Jamarcus was tripping over his own feet , I always had hope he would turn it around....

Always cheer for the team. Just smile and think of pioli being gone when they do something asinine.

007 10-14-2012 07:01 AM

Chiefs games really need a laugh track these days.

BoneKrusher 10-14-2012 07:05 AM

i'd like to see Quinn turn out to be a stud QB and make Pioli and Cassel look like even bigger fools, altho i dont think that's possible at this point.

KCgetcrazy 10-14-2012 09:35 AM

Naturally I can't truly hope that we lose, and it would be amusing to see the reax of Cassel, Crennel, etc should Quinn do great, but with that said if we lose and the fire under the front office pushes the boiling point then I can't complain.
