Anyone going to the Raiders game?

Any word on what time the gates will open? Typically 3.5 hours before kickoff. I'd guess 11:30? Gonna suck getting home that much later, but at least I won't have to get up at 3am.

Once again, we'll be looking for the banners. If anyone wants to come by and donate, I'll collect them and make sure pr_capone gets them.

Rasputin 10-24-2012 02:12 PM

I wanna go just to see the banners fly above. That and tailgate. But am too damn broked.

Caseyguyrr 10-24-2012 02:18 PM

yes.

|Zach| 10-24-2012 02:20 PM

No.

Bearcat 10-24-2012 02:30 PM

I have a decent camera and kind of want to get pics of the banners, but it'll probably be on the news again... and as far as the game, I don't know why anyone would want to watch that crap. I imagine it'll be pretty brutal football.

Reerun_KC 10-24-2012 02:35 PM

No saving money for more banners....

memyselfI 10-24-2012 03:03 PM

Yes, if free tickets come through. Nope if not.

1ChiefsDan 10-24-2012 03:10 PM

Nope. Gave up my season tickets when Herm was still here. Can't justify spending the money to drive in from Denver to attend the total crap fest that Pioli has put on the field.

NIUhuskies 10-24-2012 03:11 PM

im flying down for the game...hopefully its worth the money

bevischief 10-24-2012 06:08 PM

Nope.

BlackHelicopters 10-24-2012 06:13 PM

Would not miss a Chefs/Raiders tilt no matter how poor the quality.

Spott 10-24-2012 07:12 PM

Not even watching it on TV. All the good games are on early next week. Not wasting a minute of my weekend watching this reerun fight.

chop 10-24-2012 07:22 PM

Buying my SRO tickets right now!

eeeh....

A Raiders game is the last team I would take my 5-year-old son to go watch.
But to each their own. Good luck and hope he has a blast.

Read somewhere gates were still going to open at 8:30am. So 3 extra hours of drinking + frustrated chiefs fans + typical shitbag faider fans = quality entertainment... HELL YEAH IM GOING!!

It will be my last game of the season tho already sold Cinci tickets before blackout was announced  and no desire to see us get curbstomped by the Mannings etc etc..

I would be shocked if they opened the gates that early.

I'll be part of the flag holding group for the national anthem and the schedule they sent me shows gates open at 8:30 am.

That is what time the gates open for a noon game. I wonder if that was a misprint.

This is what they sent me. Looks pretty straight forward to me.

• 8:30am Parking gates open
• 12:00 noon Check-in with Chiefs Representative at Parking Lot
• 12:15pm Rehearsal on Field
• 2:00pm Check-in with Chiefs Representative at Parking Lot for Pregame Preparation
o Game tickets will be required at this point for entry to the facility.
• 2:50pm Flag Holding Ceremony
• 3:00pm Group Departs Field & Proceeds to Seats

Wow. Guess they want everyone as drunk as possible. heh

shaggyshane 10-25-2012 02:58 AM

Everyone going to the game look out for many Raiders fans. I was a Chiefs season ticket holder from 1991-2011 and there were always a few thousand Raiders fans coming to Arrowhead. Check out the video below of Raider Nation at Arrowhead in 2009. They darn near took it over....

Raiders fans do a little Rated R cussing in the video below. So don't watch at work,or in front of kids.

That sounds like the schedule if you're a part of whatever Flag Holding Ceremony they'll be having prior to the game. Tailgaters don't check in with any representatives.

EDIT: Just saw your other post. Anyone going for a performance gets to go in before everyone else. I doubt they'll opening the gates for everyone at that time.

You get to enter the stadium before anybody else, yeah, but if the parking gates aren't open we wouldn't be able to get past that.

Just got my "Inside Tips for Chiefs vs. Raiders" email and it specifies 8:30 am opening as well.

1. Kickoff is at 3:05pm. Please be advised of the following times as you plan your day at Arrowhead.
• Parking Gates: 8:30am
• Draft Room: 12:30pm
• Stadium Gates: 1:30pm
• Kickoff: 3:05pm
To avoid any potential delays we encourage you to arrive early.

DRU 10-25-2012 11:54 AM

By the way, I have a pair of tix available in section 112 if anybody happens to want them. Shoot me an offer if you're interested.

dedicatedfan 10-25-2012 12:03 PM

I will be there with the Irish coffee.

You'll be able to walk it into the lot, but not the stadium. If you're coming from out of town, and have no way of storing your stuff while in the stadium, then I would suggest buying a cheap cooler that you don't mind losing.

SouthTexas CHIEFS 10-25-2012 01:11 PM

ok...thx's for the info ...i planned on buying a styrofoam icechest but needed to know if i could walk it in

cabletech94 10-25-2012 06:59 PM
