I'm pretty proud of the way Ponder has played so far this year. I didn't see it in him last year. He looked very average. But he was a rookie, and it takes time for some guys. He now looks like he is on the path to becoming one of the best QB's in the league. Give him a couple more years to develop in that system. It's a perfect fit.

^^^Totally disagree. Ponder definitely showed some flashes last year. He struggled once he lost his confidence and when AP went down for the year.

The vikings are a good example of what the chiefs should strive to do. Get some balls and do whatever it takes to get the qb you like best.

I might be wrong, but I believe every team gets a Thursday night game this year.

Strange how that team was picking in the top 10 when didn't have a QB. Just 2 years later they're 5-2 and possibly on their way to the playoffs.

I haven't seen any Vikings games this year, but I'm still fairly skeptical.

I seem to remember outside football fans who knew nothing about the Chiefs saying in 2010 that Cassel was a pretty good starting QB no matter what I tried to tell them.

Ponder's got the same kind of thing going on. Good news for him is that he's young and still learning. Ponder will likely continue to improve. How much is another story.

Unlike Cassel, Ponder actually played college football and was a 1st round draft pick.

I thought he looked like a rookie on a very, very bad team (no secondary players minus Winfield, who is old. Only 1 LB who is quality. A mediocre O-line and apart from Percy, no real receiving corps)

I saw several flashes throughout the season from Ponder that made me believe he could be as successful as Andy Dalton on a better team. Ponder also IMO has better physical tools.

Oh this football game should be fun - Schiano thinks he is playing college football - Give him a couple of years ... Aggressive cluelessness.
