I heard about this last night. What a joke.

However, this only helps our cause

AussieChiefsFan 11-01-2012 05:32 AM

They're still in no position to make fun of other teams.

I think what they are suggesting is that we are very close to being a first cousin of Cleveland.

I'd give it a few years, but yea it does seem that way.

If nothing changes, in a few years we will be twin brothers of Cleveland. The success of the 90's will seem like 3 or 4 decades ago. It's close to feeling that way already

How many years? 20? 40? oh wait too late.

With pioli and co it would be that way.

blaise 11-01-2012 07:26 AM

The Chiefs deserve ridicule by anyone.

Reerun_KC 11-01-2012 07:26 AM

We have become the Mini Cleveland of the midwest...

maybe the Hunts have a 50 year plan and we are very close.

Woodchuck 11-01-2012 07:27 AM

The irony is that I think Cleveland will be the most likely place Pioli would land as a GM if he gets fired. Wouldn't that be ironic?

That would be fairly humorous.

They have twice as many wins as we do. They have every right to make fun of us. This team is historically bad and is deserving of all the ridicule they are getting

Deberg_1990 11-01-2012 07:32 AM

If they made the movie Major League today, it would be set in KC with the Royals.

Rasputin 11-01-2012 07:44 AM

Cleveland can knock us all they want. I just wonder a wah wah wah wonder how manny years there 60yo rookie QB is going be around before they figure out he is in the prime and won't be getting better over the next few years.

We are in good shape if we stay the course to snag a top QB younger than 24 in the 2013 draft. Boom Ch Ka then game on. I would not have been happy with Weedon even though I wanted a QB just not him.

Why?

We make Cleveland look like the 99 Rams in comparison...

Good point.

Iowanian 11-01-2012 07:59 AM

There was a time not so many years ago that a slap from Cleveland would have provoked vigorous debate and a response of some type to the individual who made the remarks.

How pathetic is it that we can only look at the factory of sadness and say "yeah..."

soopamanluva 11-01-2012 08:11 AM

Well deserved for something that could have been avoided

teedubya 11-01-2012 08:15 AM

Fire PiLOLi... what an idiot.

Doesn't PiLOLi like the Cleveland Browns? You'd think he'd of all people know how bad these guys are. heh.

Iowanian 11-01-2012 08:19 AM

In all fairness, Cleveland is like the Ex Wife who had enough of Pioli and RAC's adultry, lies and physical abuse. They have the insight to talk all of the trash on this team as they want while it's being run by this....Cleveland Steamer.

gblowfish 11-01-2012 08:25 AM

Both cities are football factories of sadness.

PFF took a little shot at the Chiefs today in their WR drop rate article.

Quote:

Elsewhere near the bottom you’ve got Eric Decker (15.56), Santana Moss (14.81), and Calvin Johnson (14.58). Yes, when the world ends all that will be left are cockroaches and the Madden Curse, with Johnson the latest to fall victim to it. If he’s not careful he’ll find himself in Kansas City next year wondering where it all went wrong (shout out to Peyton Hillis).

Unfortunately, Kansas CIty is the ugly neighbor that let the abusive adulterer move in, knowing who he was.

Well of course they are. The Donks have their shit together and the other two, while they are shitty, they are leaps & bounds better than us

gblowfish 11-01-2012 10:38 AM

This, along with the Atlanta Falcons "Mexico" jersey, is probably the best customized NFL Jersey ever conceived:

I never missed a game in the 90's. When did we have success? The 90's were complete failures.

They were True Fan successes.

Good vibes at the tailgate; that's all that matters in life, yes.

Neither did I.

But we had some great seasons. Did they ultimately FAIL from not making or winning a super bowl? Yes. But there were definitely some successful seasons. And they 90's were much better than anything they've produced in 15 years.

So yes, the 90's were successful compared to the last decade or so.

okcchief 11-01-2012 11:18 AM

I'm really hoping these next 2 prime time games showcase what a laughing stock we are. The brighter the media spotlight shines on our suckage the more likely Pioli won't be here next year.
