It will take an epic raping by Pittsburgh for a Fat Scott "resignation" during the season.

How about a wave of celebration among the fan base? It would neutralize the blackout to some degree. And it gives plenty of time to work on answering and interviewing for the question of "who's next?"

But we will. Isn't that obvious?

Crennel is 1000 times more likely to be fired at this point than Pioli is.

Assuming the team cares about a wave of celebration among the fan base and neutralizing the blackout. They don't. They can think about who they want to replace him whether he's here or not.

That performance was very Haley's Chiefs at Jet-esque though. It had the feeling. None of them will get fired because they are all getting canned at season's end, IMO.

What are they going to do? They have no DC... Crennel wanted to do both. Daboll sucks da balls. Have Jim Zorn be Interim HC? That might work if Crennel were DC. But at this point, I just want him gone.

But they will do nothing or do something worthless.

1% chance Pioli is fired tomorrow.
65% chance that Romeo is fired.

NO because there is a chance we will win 2 or 3 games toward the end of the season and Clark will give them a chance to come back another year. The sooner we get rid of them the sooner we rid ourselves of cancer. I don't see us winning any more games but I don't want to risk chance that we will that would be just our luck.

If we had anyone else on the coaching staff to take over, I'd say RAC would be gone today. The only 2 I'd even consider would be Zorn and ET and ET is 68 or 69. His heart would break and he deserves a better fate than that.
The "Executive of the Decade" has proven himself to be a sham. The trade deadline has passed, an underling can sign guys off the street to be starters. What good is he from today to the end of the sesaon? The Turk needs to meet him at 1 Arrowhead with a cardboard box this morning.
Seriously, if this sort of fiasco happened in any other business, how long would any of them be around? I know Clark is going to have to eat a pretty good chunk of cash to can Pioli and such, but if you figure the loss of revenue from concessions, merchandise, and such, it's chump change. All those seats don't belong to season ticket holders. That parking lot could be 2/3 full.

Not this week.

But if they get blown out on Monday night in Pittsburgh, I could see him pulling the trigger, not to "save the season" but just to tell the world, "Enough."

Back-to-back primetime embarrassments, where the next day national TV/radio are saying "Wow, did you see the Chiefs again last night? Unbelievable. What's wrong with that franchise? Lamar Hunt must be spinning in his grave." I could see Clark stepping in.

Hey, you never know in the NFL. Maybe they could lose 17-6 or something. I didn't think Baltimore would win only 9-6, even at Arrowhead.

But yes, I would EXPECT a blowout.

gblowfish 11-02-2012 09:39 AM

I think Pioli survives the season. They'll use Romeo and Casshole as the scapegoats. Romeo won't care. He's already in his mid-60s, the Chiefs will have to pay off the last two years of his contract, so he can do a Mangino, go to Denny's and lounge around, and laugh all the way to the bank. Casshole will get released or traded. Pioli will probably be retained. Lamar gave King Carl 20 years. Pioli will be like Spicoli after wrecking the Camaro...."I can fix it, my father in law has an awesome set of tools!"

ChiefMojo 11-02-2012 09:58 AM

If Clark allows Pioli to run another draft, try to get more FA's (lose the ones we have) and God forbid pick yet another head coach.... I'm done with the Chiefs until the house is finally cleaned! Clark keeping Pioli another year would just be screaming you don't care about winning and your purely owning this team for the profit!
