Bucky Brooks takes a look at the top quarterback prospects in college football, stating which current NFL signal callers they're most alike.

Not so sure about Geno's comparisons but decent video.

he's not selling me with those comparison's lol. I haven't even heard Glennon's name mentioned until now.

I'm down for Matt Barkley as my top choice. I don't believe in curses or any stupid shit like that. He's a 4 year starter, smart and I think he's gonna be a good pro.

He is the safe pick which is why I don't want him.
Geno could be great .
Barkley being good is a safer bet than Geno being great but
the payoff with Geno would be worth it.

FTR, I see an Aaron Rodgers type QB when I watch Geno.

He's also never had the pocket awareness and mobility that Geno possesses.

Geno Smith's pocket awareness is, right now, more advanced than any QB at this stage in their development, other than Luck.

Assuming the Chiefs get the #1 pick and wants a QB, it's a pretty sure bet that they take Barkley. He's been getting the hype for a long time.

Assuming history plays out we won't get the no 1 pick and we won't take a QB...

Draft Smith/Barkley in the first & if Glennon is there in the 3rd, grab him or another QB and let the 2 battle for the job.

This GM is not drafting a QB.

I like the Redskin approach. Take one way early and
a possible under-rated muti year college starter. Might work here.

The biggest thing about these comparisons?

He's comparing them to "OK" NFL QBs because this years top shelf QBs aren't even close to last years. You can project RG3 on Geno Smith all you want, but he's not going to be as good.

There is no Luck/RG3 in this class, true. But comparing Geno Smith to Alex Smith makes no damn sense whatsoever. Nor does he play AT ALL the way Campbell does.

My favorite part of Geno's game is that, when he is buying time in the pocket, he nearly ALWAYS stays in his throwing stance, keeping his eyes downfield. He's going to be good in the league. Not right away, but he will be good.
