2 dead, 8 wounded after shooting rampage at California chicken plant
 

DEVELOPING: Two people were shot dead and eight wounded during a shooting rampage at chicken processing plant in Fresno, Calif., KMPH.com reported.

Details of the shooting and victims are unclear, but dozens of police officers are at a Valley Protein plant. Streets in the area are closed. The incident is considered a workplace shooting, and police believe the gunman sought out one particular person. He reportedly shot the person and turned the gun on others.

Workers in the area told KMPH.com that they heard a series of gunshots. He left the facility, which holds about 60 employees, and fatally shot himself, the report said.

According to the report, once employees heard the gun pop, eyes turned to located the nearest exit.
