Vermeil on MNF
Love this guy. Dick for GM. LMAO
His endorsement of Reid is enough for me to want The Walrus in KC. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/ENRfwvOzWFA" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
**** Dick Vermeil.
He completely ignored the D. |
nice!

They just couldn't pick anybody worth a shit. |

The D was shit and it was obviously not a priority to fix it. They wasted a SB offense. |

People really ought not to throw stones at DickV anymore.
One of only 5 coaches to take 2 teams to the SB. ROSE COLORED GLASSES ALL DAY |
Give these coaches $6-7M to prepare your O-Line, then give them 20 minutes to do it.

That offense was legendary. |

Or the 99 Rams for that matter? |

I loved Dick Vermeil. Yes his drafts and defense were horrid. But, the man brought excitement to KC. That was hands down, the most prolific offense we have ever seen in KC.
I loved him as a coach, the way he can motivate his players too. Without Vermeil, Kurt Warner never would have been found either. I'm a fan. |
I'm a big fan of Cry Me A River.

Speaking of MNF, should I even bother starting a thread for this craptacular matchup tonight?

Chiefs fans:
DAMN, I SURE LOVE FORMER HEAD COACHES THAT NEVER WON SHIT WHILE THEY WERE HERE. |

Toward the end of his tenure I was extremely ready for Vermeil to be shown the door. I was tired of his crybaby shtick, loyalty without logic, and playing favorites.
|
I like Vermeil, but I'd also like to point out his endorsement of Herm Edwards and Grob.

Was it Vermeil's idea to hire Greg Robinson? If so, GTFO. Robinson is THE worst defensive coordinator in the history of football.
That said, those were some exciting times. The Priest Holmes era was fun to watch. |

Of course, that's probably because our offense was better and our time of possession was a lot better. |

say what you will, but I loved watching games in the Vermeil era. In fact, ever since I have watched the games (well, not so much this year) but haven;t really enjoyed them like I did in the Vermeil era.
Listening to Romeo on the radio today got me thinking and made me realize just how much I dislike RAC, Herm, and Bruce Weber. |

LJ's non-block. Now I'm pissed, too. |
Irony I sense in this thread.
DJ has been the best defensive player on this team the last 2 years...who drafted this guy again? LMAO |

Largely because our D gave up TD's in 5 plays or less almost every time the opponent touched the ball. |
I love Vermeil, he's one of my favorite coaches in any sport, but he probably gets too emotionally attached to guys to be a GM. Coach is where he belongs... with an intelligent GM making personnel decisions. There aren't many guys who can handle strategy and fundamentals better than him though, even today. Just look at how disorganized we appear on both sides of the ball anymore.
|
I like how you call him "coach" you softie. LMAO
|
Many of the same dumbshits who still talk smack about Vermeil have squirting orgasms over the likes of Herm, Haley and Romeo.

That said, he was one of the best Chiefs quarterbacks of all time. |

And the Dallas game LJ had 3 TDs but whiffed on an easy block that lead to an INT or sack/strip fumble or some shit. What was it? I feel like that was forever ago. |
Quote:
His biggest flaw was stubborn loyalty to coaches and players no matter how flawed they were. |

8-8 13-3 7-9 10-6 No playoff wins. Wow, what a stud. Great drafts, too. He really left the Chiefs in great shape. |

We win that game, or the one against Dallas, where Fujita knocked the ball away from Green, and we have a chance at the SB. Although we would probably end up playing the Colts, and have another punt less game. |
Quote:
9-7 4-12 2-14 No playoff wins. Left the Chiefs with Brodie Croyle and Tyler Thigpen as the QBOTF's. Enough Said. Game Over. You lose dumbshit. |

Seriously, you are more worthless than Bobtard. GO. ****. YOUR. SELF. Cockbag. |

All Vermeil did here was fail. And his failure was utterly unforgivable. |

Regardless of whether or not Mark Sanchez would have been a "Savior", he would have been a step in the right direction: The first Chiefs quarterback chosen in the first round since 1983. Now, get back to moppin' up Al Golden's jizz. We all know that's the reason you're up at 12:40am EST. JIZZ mopper. |
