Kevin Ross says Chiefs players are cut off from the community
Sad.
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/NYUbuOVSTO8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
He also slammed players for taking picutres and such with Peyton. He was like "you're 1-10?? That would have never happened in my era"
|
Ross later said he wanted players to be nasty as **** on defense and hate the other team like they were communists...and throw deep on offense...I was like HIRE THIS MAN.

So what? |
I'll be honest, hearing what Ross was saying...maybe I'm a complete reerun but the guy should be our next head coach.
|
That's a great point about the player banners. Those were a staple of Arrowhead. That miserable **** Pioli strikes again.

The guy said he had basically been begging to coach here since he got into coaching 7 years ago.
I'm drinking the Kevin Ross Koolaid. |
I've mentioned this several times, but I think Save our Chiefs is missing a huge opportunity to capitalize on opportunities like this.
This is a message that pisses off both True Fans and any Chiefs fan in general. Again, True Fans are so caught up in their blind support for the franchise that they don't realize this is going on. I can guarantee lots of stories like this will turn even the biggest homer into a Pioli hater. As I've said before... we all knew who Brian Waters was and we were huge fans. How sad is that when a ****ing Guard is more popular back then than our star running back is today? It's because Pioli doesn't think fans are entitled to knowing our players, and it's the biggest reason why Arrowhead crowds are dead today and will never get back to loud Arrowhead until Pioli is out. Even if we start winning again. |
Pioli is a butthole.

Kevin Ross is a good dude. Met him up in Mankato a few years ago when he was D-backs coach with the Vikings.

I loved Ross as a player.
He might make a good secondary coach, I don't know. |
I know, it sounds ****ing crazy. But he's had plenty of coaching experience in the league. And he WANTS to be here. He'd ****ing eat maggots to coach this team. He'd be the anti-Romeo.

Kevin Ross kept talking about throwing the ball deep. HIRE THIS MAN. |

The entire fan base will commit suicide. |

They should throw deep. Hire me.

I just.....sigh......

You have no idea. |
It's not like Ross is some n00b. He's older than Todd Haley.

I seriously couldnt even get past his initial face in the op, without dying inside.

If our head coach is going to be a former player, I prefer a QB.
At least they won't be drooling idiots by the age of 60 due to being hit in the head too many times. |

When we talk nostalgia, it's not just about restoring the red. It's asking why we don't have the "Jared Allen Show" anymore. The fan banners. The great pieces in the Kansas City Star about Chiefs volunteering during the holidays. Hell, even Hard Knocks. There are dumbasses who still think Pioli is building an okay enough team and it seems like SOC is getting mixed reaction to that. But this shit is something I think every single fan will rally around. |

He wasn't retained after 2010. |
Ahh yeah...hire that guy.

Quiet, you. |

He could come and coach somewhere on this team just not head coach or D-coordinator.. <table border="0" width="610"><tbody><tr><td width="80%"> Quote:

Kevin Ross would ****ing kill it here if he grabbed a good OC and DC and we hired the right GM.
Players would run through a brick ****ing wall for this guy. Accountability would be restored. The head coach would be FEARED. This could be Camelot, and Kevin Ross could be King Arthur. |

JFC, you say some really dumb shit. |

I'm high on Kevin Ross, bitches.
This man could be our Chiefs football Jesus. THE MESSIAH WILL RETURN http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...fSgchJ1VvlL3gN |
has he ever been a hc at any level?

I loved Kevin Ross as a player. He's dead on with this. We all remember all the banners in the 90's. the team and the fans loved each other. Pioli has shit all over this franchise in every way possible. It's inexcusable to retain this POS.
I wouldn't mind him coaching the d backs, but the head coach talk is ludicrous. |
I'm telling you. Kevin Ross will restore us through sheer FORCE OF WILL.
IT'S NOT THE SKILL IT'S THE WILL. MY EASTER EGGS ARE COLORED. |
Quote:
One Kevin Ross dressed in black on TV telling it like it is ... well, that would be worth 5023 banners. FAX |
I've thought about this a lot. I grew up in Kansas City until about the age of 16. When I was in town, Tim Grunhard and many other Chiefs entertained fans at bars around the Metro. Now it's tough to get a Scott Boras generic response out of any of these guys. The culture shift is amazing. That whole interview with Ross was amazing. You could really tell that they were just letting him rant. If you missed it, it was radio gold.
|
Well I see that athan Jr went full warpaint on us. Not surprised that he is back to his old antics so soon.

The KC media could have saved Pioli by running his propaganda for him. The guy is so clueless he spit on the people that were in the best position to help him. |

You never know about these things though. If the Chiefs had hired a head coach who was the OC of the 32nd ranked offense in the entire league, who was a Paul Hackett disciple, this board would've melted down. But Mike McCarthy has done pretty well for himself in Green Bay.

I'd be ok with him making the signs for the locker room.
Wait, he has clue, do we need another twitter dude? |
Keep picking away Dane. Your anger amuses me.

It has nothing to do with "anger" and everything with pointing out how ****ing stupid you are with each and every post. Dumbass. |

I'm sick of good offenses and bad defenses, good defenses and bad offenses, bad offenses and bad defenses or, if I think back far enough, good offenses and good defenses but with a coach who was so scared of his shadow he didn't trust it. |

I wouldn't hire him as a coach but it might be worthwhile to run overall all of our players with a car. The ones that don't survive we won't miss and the ones that survive might take on some of Ross's toughness.

I want a nasty mother ****er for a coach. One that gets his players to feel the same way he does. The Chiefs teams have looked like a bunch of pussies for over a decade now. That is what I want. A mean ass coach that lets his coordinators do their jobs while he marches the sidelines keeping his players pissed off.

KEVIN COULD BE HEAVEN |
I would give him a position coach job and see if he had it in him to move up to DC.
But IMO, the Chiefs next HC needs to be someone who is a QB guru. |

I'd love to see The Rock have some kind of input to the Chiefs, just not as a HC. Crap, I'd love to see Messers Cherry, Dawson, Waters, Arbanas, Budde, and Lanier come in as well. Those guys were real Chiefs, on and off the field.
