Anybody watching channel 9 right now? They had a reporter in some podunk NW Missouri town reporting on the fact that there's no snow. She like "we've seen a little rain, but the snow isn't here yet. We might get an inch or two over the night." LMAO

Driving home tonight from work was a pain in the ass. People were driving 20 mph below the speed limit, slowing everyone down. Then you have the idiots going 20 mph over the speed limit and fish-tailing. One damn near clipped my Jeep. Dumbasses.

I lost count on all the idiots that didn't have their damn headlights turned on. I mean really?

I'd be walking up hill both ways too & from school during blizzard white outs.

14" here north of Spokane Washington and still coming down. Typing in between phone calls from employees calling to tell me they can not get here.

Olathe has experienced high winds with some hard snow in minimal amounts. But do not fret, sunny and 70 by mid-day!

However, they canceled school because of it.

Going to be a long 11 hour workday.

2-3" of snow and it took me a freaking hour and a half to get to work. Normally a 25 minute drive. :cuss:

Same here. SM Pkwy to downtown took over an hour. We were rolling along smoothly until about 7th street, at which point traffic slowed to about 3mph. FML.

The stupid bastards here raid the grocery store even if its just a dusting of snow.

I can understand the canceling of school simply due to the lack of visibility. It was pretty bad at times.

Not complaining, though. We need to be safe with the kids.

I live north of wichita, and they didn't even bother treating the roads. 135 was iced over when I tried going to work. Decided I didn't want to take 2 hours to go to work so I turned around and went home.

We got an inch of snow. I wonder what will happen if it actually snows...

People are wimps these days. I remember coming home from grade school walking thru 9-10 inches of new snow and we didn't get out early either. :harumph:

We got 20 inches of snow over the weekend and nothing stopped. Y'all back home get 5 inches and it's the apocalypse lol.

More like an inch or two... happens every year. It's a northern state when it comes to snow, but a southern state when it comes to preparation, snow removal, driving, etc.

Attempted to get to work this morning with no avail. Stuck twice until a neighbor with a 4x4 was able to get me off the road in a parking lot and gave me a ride home.

My job is delivering, with nearly a 1/2 inch thick sheet of ice all over and nothing done yet by the state, I'm going nowhere today.

Aside from fish-tailing a few times, I got to work just fine, (was a little late though). Oh, how I love my 4x4 Jeep! :D

I drove by this one chick that got stuck in a snowbank. She kept spinning her tires when she could have easily just backed up and got out. :facepalm: Women drivers.

Took me almost two hours going from Independence to Overland Park. I have a jeep, too, and it's made for days like this. Problem was, too many other people stuck, and traffic was backed up all over the place. Lots of stuck semi's on hill grades. Once they get stopped, they can't get momentum to start up again. Exit from 435 to Raytown MO 350 was shut down, traffic crawled from I-70 to Gregory, that stretch took about 45 minutes. Kansas portion of 435 was in much better shape. It'll take a long time to get home tonight I'm sure. Everybody take it slow and easy.

Just enough snow to call off school everywhere around here, but far from enough to burn the big brush pile I've accumulated from clearing pasture the past couple years.

I don't get calling off school for this. I remember our school bus getting stuck many times, in stuff alot worse than the 2 or 3 inches we got.
