Dishwasher question...
So the dishwasher seems to have half-died. When you turn it on you can here "noise" but nothing is happening. No water and the spinner isn't spinning.
The thing is 15 years old. Worth fixing or time buy a new one? |
Buy a new one. Do those things have belts?
I just buy a new one of it doesn't work. But it sounds like a belt. Do they even have belts on a dish warshington machine? Posted via Mobile Device |
I think a midget fell into the gears. Buy a new one.
|
Take her to the hospital, I guess. Why are you married to a 15-year-old, anyway?
|
Definitely throw money at an old appliance when you can purchase a relatively high-end one for under $1000.

The repair will cost damn near as much as just buying as new one

Let her get deported and send Manuel after another one.

Turn it on, reach down, look right through the vent, and whisper "You're sexy!"
|
Do NOT buy a Maytag to replace it. Whatever you do, do NOT buy a Maytag to replace it. We bought one four years ago and it's the biggest POS we have ever purchased. Unlike our Maytag washing machine which is still running strong after 25 years.

Make it gone

Turn it on and kick it in the door hard about 6 times.
|
buy a new one, it's prob not even fully washing everything.
random thought... I never understood people who live in an apartment and don't have dishwashers but yet complain about cleaning them, why not just stock up on a bunch of paper plates? That's what I did for years and it was always cleaner and saved time. |

I just bought a new Kenmore about a week ago. Was about $600, nice machine.

I was working on ours last night.
While watching some youtube "common problems" video I saw this one. They said often the impellers get stuck with grease/food. You basically take the bottom off, stick your finger in there and manually spin it to break it loose. |

The washing machine is running because my hubby cleans and maintains it regularly. We have had to self repair some belts but that thing has been rock solid. They do not make appliances like that anymore. |
