***Official Clark Hunt Appreciation Thread***

Many, myself included, have doubted your commitment to the team, fanbase, and winning. These concerns have been answered.

Thank you for purging the toxins at 1 Arrowhead. Armed with the #1 overall pick and a new regime, the future looks bright indeed.

Here's to you, Clark: :toast:

kcmaxwell 01-04-2013 09:28 AM

Absolutely!! He seems to sit back and let people do the job they are hired for, but when he feels it's time for him to step in and get things done, he makes it happen!! God Bless you Clark!!

DaKCMan AP 01-04-2013 09:28 AM

You're my boy, Clark!

All the people who've doubted him can STFU.

AussieChiefsFan 01-04-2013 09:29 AM

Strongside 01-04-2013 09:29 AM

THANK YOU! Now I don't have to burn my Chiefs gear ;)

mr. tegu 01-04-2013 09:29 AM

He was silent most of the year but he sure was getting ready to relieve us as soon as the offseason arrived.

Chiefshrink 01-04-2013 09:30 AM

Now we know his balls are made of brass and you better not get in the way of them:clap:

KC_Lee 01-04-2013 09:30 AM

Mad props to Clark for stepping up and getting out there to improve the franchise and give the fanbase renewed hope. :bravo: :bravo:

Buehler445 01-04-2013 09:30 AM

OK, I'm good.

**** YEAH. Clark owns.

Not sure I like his choice in coaches, but he cut the cancer out.

CaliforniaChief 01-04-2013 09:32 AM

I was just going to start this thread, but wanted to wait until the Reid thing is done.

But man, talk about taking this franchise by the balls and getting the job done.

I am so thankful.

KCFaninSEA 01-04-2013 09:32 AM

Thank you Mr. Hunt

FlaChief58 01-04-2013 09:33 AM

He showed me a lot this week. I guess he does care :toast:

Hey Boss, I'm sure you know this but just in case, Reid was going to draft Dexter in the 2nd IF we didn't(i.e. Worst player ever moniker). He really liked McCluster as well. Don't be surprised if Reid keeps him but I'm sure we can all live with this considering all the positive changes that are occurring and maybe Reid will make him a better player.

Marcellus 01-04-2013 09:35 AM

I can proudly say I have backed the man since day 1.

rocknrolla 01-04-2013 09:35 AM

I had my doubts about Clark caring. But as we can all see, he has delivered on his words. I am proud to have him as the owner of my team. He did not **** around. He wants something, he gets it at all cost.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 01-04-2013 09:36 AM

HE CARES!!

Lzen 01-04-2013 09:36 AM

When I listened to his interview on Monday I was left with a good feeling. He was saying all the right things. Of course, I still wanted to wait and see. Either way, I knew it would be better with Pioli losing a lot of power. But this firing is exactly what I was hoping for. Clark, way to take control and make this thing right. :thumb:

The only time I doubted his commitment was when he didn't fire Pioli on Monday. I always thought he wanted to win and he thought he was doing the best thing in hiring Pioli. I congratulate him on taking the bull by the horns.

the Talking Can 01-04-2013 09:38 AM

well done, clark

now draft a QB or we'll buy a web ad to fly over the chiefs homepage

CaliforniaChief 01-04-2013 09:39 AM

Not only appreciation for firing Pioli and sending the Patriot Way packing, but also cutting off his nuts and making him go interview the man who would ultimately end his time in KC. That's cold.

siberian khatru 01-04-2013 09:39 AM

He undoubtedly is shelling out a lot of money to fire Pioli and, based on the names circulating, hiring a new management team (coaching staff and front office).

That should put to rest all the "Clark is cheap and only cares about money, not winning" stuff.

Graystoke 01-04-2013 09:39 AM

Yep I will be all in in saying THANKS!
Him comming out and saying he was taking the reins was awesome.

ShowtimeSBMVP 01-04-2013 09:40 AM

With Reid's salary and the type of big-name staff he'll likely assemble, the Chiefs are almost certainly going to have one of the most expensive coaching staffs and front offices in the league.

Hunt is providing the resources. The exciting thing is that Reid is a proven commodity, an individual who will be able to use these resources appropriately and effectively.

Just a fantastic last couple of days.

I actually really like this idea. Think it would show class on behalf of SOC. showing support for Hunt and what he is doing for this team.

DaWolf 01-04-2013 09:45 AM

Four years ago, went out and got the top GM candidate.

This year, canned his buddy because his team sucked, and went out and got the biggest fish out there.

His decisions may not work out, but if anyone questions his commitment to winning or his commitment to spending the bucks, they can go to hell. We got ourselves an owner...

I never doubted Clark. He's just one of those guys that isn't a showoff or mouthy. I knew he'd do the right thing.
Thanks Clark, your dad would be proud to know you are taking care of his team and their fans.

As I posted in another thread, thank you Clark!

I will be coming to Arrowhead in 2013 for the first time in my life and I'm excited!

ToxSocks 01-04-2013 10:42 AM

I never though he was a bad owner to begin with. There wasn't much evidence to the contrary. But i think he went above and beyond any expectations we may have had for him. It's safe to say that Clark has created his own Legacy, and the Chiefs have to be taken seriously as a a desirable job.

scho63 03-12-2013 05:43 PM

I think it would be hard to argue that Clark is cheap as he is pulling out all the stops to try and IMMEDIATELY help this team become much better as quick as possible.

He looks like he is giving Reid/Dorsey the green light to do everything possible to build a winner.

I've never seen the Chiefs so aggressive and successful signing FAs, they usually whiff and no one wants to come here.

That certainly has changed.

BlackHelicopters 03-12-2013 05:45 PM

Hope we have spent money wisely. Applaud the effort.
