1995 Chiefs Random thought
After watching the stunning loss the Donks had tonight to the Ravens especially with a Harbaugh on the other end (although his brother) made me think back to the 1995 Chiefs and how luck sometimes creeps into a game
If the playoffs are played 100 times that year looking at the talent we had that year and how we handled most teams we win the superbowl at least 35-45 times out of 100, maybe even more. We lose to the colts maybe 10-15% of the time. Just happenend that what could go wrong did. The chiefs were just snakebitten in that game. It would be very hard to argue that there was another team that had more talent. |
L** E****** can still go f*** himself.
|
L$$ Who?
|
If snakebitten=Marty Schottenheimer playing not to lose, then yeah, we were snakebitten.
|
Marty chooses the coldest day in Chief's history to switch from a running attack to a passing one and he does it against a team that cannot defend the run. Geez, come on man...there were stalactites hanging from player's face masks and you want to pass now.
|
Could you imagine Peyton and Marty on the same team?
I think the Universe would implode. |

First Jan Stenarud breaks my heart as a little kid in the longest game in history with his two misses and then history repeats itself with this douchebag missing THREE We are the Chiefs! |
It's why we need our own home grown quarterback. So that if we lose in the playoffs at least we would gain the experience & the players would feel the hurt only to thrive to get better the next year. Having our own quarterback to learn from mistakes and take what he can to the next level.
Having our own quarterback means years of playoff and Super Bowl contention opportunity. Building a team around the draft pick quarterback is the way to start building a team for success in the playoffs and Championships. EDIT: **** Lynn Elliott I'm not afraid to say his name. |

It was not Lynn Elliot's fault that he sucked and the Chiefs lost. It was Marty's fault that he went into a shell whenever the Chiefs got into FG range and put the game on the foot of a kicker that sucked. |

It's the stupidest thing ever, and I go out of my way to say "Lynn Elliot" anytime someone posts "The kicker that shall not be named" or some other such stupidity. |

If Carl Peterson doesn't get into a pissing match with Nick Lowery before the season and the Chiefs have Lowery attempting FG's in that game you have to figure he makes at least one of those 3 attempts.
So once again blame Dictator Carl. |
The Chiefs bombed in 95, but they had chances in 97 and 03 as well and bombed out just as badly then. The franchise is a disgrace in the post-season. Lin Elliot is just a long part of our sad and pathetic lack of playoff success in our history.
