I think that's exactly what Clark was looking for. He didn't know when he hired Pioli that he was gonna turn One Arrowhead Drive into the least friendly and unwanted place to work in KC.

Once that all came out and the team went in the tank, it was a perfect opportunity for change.

I think this time Clark was gonna make sure not only, was this hire good at his job, but good for Kansas City as well. That can only help. Good Work place karma is huge for your employees. Especially in the NFL towards former players and front office personnel.
