I still can't/can still believe this new regime did this. I mean wow, talk about a buzz kill move out of the gate. I have never been this not excited for my Chiefs, even during the offseasons (and seasons) knowing Cassel was still the guy. I just expected more from this regime. I expected new. But instead, it's the same old tired Chiefs shit.

Imagine if the 2011 Chiefs had possessed:

The #2 defense, allowing only 14 points per game.

The #8 running game.

Forced 47 turnovers.

Allowed only 64 yards rushing per game, at 3.5 YPC.

I might well have made Sportsfan: The Matt Cassel story.

Does he play defense too? Most of his story doesn't include him it appears.

He'll be decent, not great. He'll get us to the playoffs a couple times. Chiefs will be relevant again...just barely.

Dude has one good playoff game and Andy Reid jizzes. Great.

Video was actually pretty good. Still as skeptical as most of CP, but still going to watch with bated breath and cautious optimism. If coaches do their part and players buy into it. More, better offseason moves.....

I really think after watching his film in SF that we need to get better at TE if Smith is going to have any success here. Vernon Davis was big for him. I'm not sure Moeaki is going to be the answer...

Listening to people defending a QB who isn't a playmaker, has a career high of 17 TD passes, and in his best season threw for less than 175 yards per game.

THAT is insufferable.

Why don't you have that attitude towards the rookies? They're all busts until they prove otherwise.

Because rookies haven't proven they suck ass in the NFL like Alex Smith.

Go to Hell, you should make a highlight real of Alex Smith and Matt Cassel handing the ball off to the running backs that is what they both had success in doing. It's all about the handoff to Jamaal Charles or Frank Gore for their success in the NFL.

You thought Alex Smith had skills in 2008 when he showed absolutely nothing so pardon me for thinking you know next to shit about talent evaluation. If it wasn't for Sacco and Snr briefing you on Geno Smith you'd know nothing about him too.

It's just funny that the 2 hires you wanted made this move and now you want to cry about the guys YOU wanted to run this franchise.

Watched it. Definitely did like some of the "clutch" plays and situations and how Smith responded. Seeing a "We Love Alex Smith" sign in the crowd was encouraging. I'd say this video did a little bit to shake my belief that this trade is disastrous and that no good will ever come of it and that Reid/Dorsey should be fired right now before this goes any further.

I'm sure Clay could put together a video to make the "truefans" believe in Cassel again. Probably wouldnt be 26 minutes, but it could be done.

No, because he stopped winning the last two years. Completely. There is no redemption for him. No life in the void.

The only reason that video was made was because Alex Smith won some games and had one shining moment in a divisional playoff game.

Cassel's shining moment the last two years was a glorious comeback against the 2-14 Indianapolis Colts.

Don't forget that badass first down on the road against the Seahawks where he ran away from a defender and threw to bowe.

I think "The Alex Smith Story" is a story best told in rewind...

This sums it all up nicely. The big money these guys get and the big superstar reputation they have, made us expect some creative problem solving from them. Instead we end up exactly where we would be if Pioli was still here.

Then why are you guys getting rid of him if he's so damn wonderful? Why not keep him?

Yeah. I wanted to draft a speed receiver this year but now I think it would be a wasted pick. Baldwin and Wylie can be the deep decoys that Smith never throws to.

If they can somehow trade down a couple of times to around #15, I think Tyler Eifert would be the best possible pick to help this offense. They will also need another running back to keep from killing Charles.

I will say that the pass young completes early in that video to T.O. looked a lot like the one Geno threw out of the endzone against Oklahoma
