Move back into the 2nd rnd and pick up this guy....

Genos production in the red zone, in the 4th quarter and on third down is just crazy.

A 132 NFL QB rating in the 4th quarter?

SICK

119 in the red zone?

WOW

Just under 100 rating on third down?

SIGN ME UP.

Honestly, the dude shit his pants throwing to three NFL caliber receivers, two of them are going to be first round picks.

Direckshun 03-06-2013 11:10 PM

Nassib is the guy I'd love if he lasted to our 3rd rounder.

Direckshun 03-06-2013 11:12 PM

And that last graph illustrates why nobody in this league likes this year's class.

Faced with the toughest D they've seen all year, each and every one of these guys shit their pants.

World beaters, none of them. Not even Geno.

HoneyBadger 03-06-2013 11:17 PM

Can we look up previous draft classes?

chiefzilla1501 03-06-2013 11:26 PM

How many of those stats were either against MIckey Mouse teams or terrible defenses?

He was hardly coached up too, and the 1st round talent WRs have average at best hands to go with all-world athletic ability.

yep. that's where Geno fails. but his mistakes are correctable through coaching.

Mr_Tomahawk 03-07-2013 06:48 AM

Landry is the only one who finished in the top half of those list in each category.

Scary

Sit him a year or two behind Aelx Smith a'la Favre/Rodgers and let him learn and adjust.

Chiefnj2 03-07-2013 07:03 AM

Those yards per attempt when tied or trailing up to 7 seem very high.

Ace Gunner 03-07-2013 07:05 AM

Greg Cosell @gregcosell
I've seen Barkley throw more than 250 passes. He does not drive the ball. His intermediate + deeper throws lose energy on the back end.

oh ya. this guy isn't going to amount to much at the NFL level.

haterz aren't always smart. with his skills, Landry Jones has a chance to at least become a QB in this league.

Do. Not. Want.

Direckshun 03-07-2013 07:16 AM

Landry Jones is a smart late round pick if you're a QB needy team that hasn't drafted a QB in the first five rounds.

I'd take him in the 6th or 7th if I'm John Dorsey and I hadn't drafted any QBs yet.

There has to be trade value for Cassel.

If you give up a 2nd for the exact same QB as Cassel in Smith. We should get a 2nd or 3rd for Cassel from someone...

Teams know we will release him...they will wait rather than waste a pick on him.

Don't want to make this sound like I'm defending Smith because I'm not really a fan but while it may seem they're the same guy, right now they're on completely different ends.

Smith is coming off a hot year 1/2. Cassel is coming off a steady decline and the worse season of his career.

We got fleeced in the Smith deal. So just because that happened doesn't mean we can expect other teams to be as stupid. I just can't see a team willing to trade for Cassel. We all know he's garbage.

It's a concern, that's for sure. IMO I think those defensive coordinators did a good job taking away Bailey and Austin...after those two, there really wasn't any talent on that offense and Dana did a piss poor job of making adjustments to take advantage of the fact that KSU was dropping everyone into coverage.

yea but these numbers are so inflated playing schools that are fielding high school defenses, that last table tells the true story about all these guys facing their toughest competition they all crapped their pants, that is a red flag and why many are down on this group.

After a 5-game study of #USC QB Matt Barkley, ESPN's Merril Hoge calls Barkley a "project" & 3rd- or 4th-round pick: http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/7421/matt-barkley

We make the Al Davis Raiders look like geniuses in comparison.

Cassel was coming off a hot year also. We were not NE, and we are not SF now. We dont have the team they have. We have pieces, not a set. You have to have balance. Smith does not have the arm to stretch the field.

Everyone wants to say ried is a qb coach guru. But having mcnabs arm and athleticism does not help smith.

Thier moves to date. Say win now. I dont see it. Qb as of this point is still a huge hole. At least with a rookie fans expect growing pains. Smith will be hearing the boos from the half full stadium past the first homegame.

He said he likes all of the QB's that have been mentioned on here. Pioli did it the wrong way, but is still good at somethings. Reid is a good QB evaluator. A. Smith may or may not lead us to glory. We will probably take a QB in the later rounds. He would take either Fisher or Jockstrap. He is interested in Star Lickmyballsack, but it depends on medical issues.

Chris Landry was a scout in Tennessee and CLEVELAND (yep, with Pioli). He's not currently employed by an NFL team - he's a "consultant".

In other words, don't waste your time wondering what he thinks.

dilfer had crap at WR, Rex too.. Stan Humphries looks like Brett Favre compared with McNabb.

McNabb = big arm, bad accuracy, even worse timing. he was Matty C with a big arm and shorter legs.

Hahaha

The one year McNabb had a real receiver, they made the superbowl.

Dude took the Eagles to like 5 NFC Championship games with guys like Todd Pinkston and Fred Barnett.

Comparing his to guys like Dilfer is flat out reeruned.
