I want to vent it out. I'm not ready to just accept what we get. I have butthurt over the Alex Smith trade and quite frankly pissed off about it.

People can deal with it or accept it how ever they want I don't curr.

This thread is to vent and be pissed off over a deal we didn't want in the first place.

It is my right as a fan to be pissed off.

Of course, I don't think he'll win one this season and that's fine, neither will Geno Smith. Until then my opinion is still the same. He's not a good QB and he's not the answer for us at QBOTF. I don't see us winning a post season game with him under center.

I've made my personal peace the day it was all but confirmed. I knew that KC just wasn't the franchise for me anymore. Sure, I had fun back in the DT days, but my fandom should have died with him. This latest debacle is just proof-positive that the Chiefs have NO desire to join the rest of the modern league. If Clark "wants to win", he should realize that slap-dicking another retread with a bunch of sub~tier FA's in an effort to quickly make up for all the suck since Herm backed his ass up in to a Wild Card, is NOT going to yield the kind of long-term winning and stability he so desperately craves. Sure. Long term he wont be a factor in the NFL. I know your Geno love is boundless but many see this as a bad year to have number 1 and the best use is not your boy Geno.

Yes I'd rather take the 50/50 chance that a #1 QB will bust then go with Alex ****ing Smith. Did Harbaugh come with Alex Smith? No, he didn't. So this ****ing sucks ass. Honestly I'd rather see Chase mizzou **** Daniels win the starting job at this point. Maybe he learned something from Drew Brees. Lots of great QBs backed up a great QB and couldn't get on the field. That's a pipe dream all right, but a pipe dream is all we have.

Just tired, as a fan of this team, of constantly watching the same crap over and over. Yeah Alex Smith could be a servicable QB, I bet he wins (based on the last place schedule) at least 9 games his first season.

One QB bust 30 years ago and KC will not draft a QB in the first round. But we keep picking DL (both DT & DE) in the 1st round over and over (Sims, Dorsey, Jackson, Poe) and they either bust or do not live up to thier draft position. But by God let's clamor for another DL in the 1st again. Or better yet, let's draft a OT in the 1st.

We are stuck, baring an injury, with Alex Smith for at least 3 years. During this time the fan base will buy more tickets and merchandise and the parking lot will be filled again. It will be just like 1990's all over again. Clark will be happy, some fans will be happy and the Chiefs will still be in the same postition they are now, a good team and not a great team which is held back by the lack of play from the QB.

I'll root for them, just not going to drink the Kool Aid. Until this team gets serious in drafting and developing a starting QB of its own and gives up picking up other team's scraps I'm done being a die hard fan.

if I could choose between Alex Smith as my QB for life and not having to read another KC Tattoo post or having Geno Smith but getting an alert on my phone every time this guy posted and I'd have to read it before I could use my phone again...

This is a thread for venting against getting a pedestrian NFL proven QB, giving up two high picks that would have likely netted us two starters, and giving up on a talented young prospect because we have a pedestrian QB who seems like a nice man and wants to take us to Mediocrity Land for the next 5 years.

It sure as hell isnt my ideal, thats for sure... there are some really impressive, powerful arguments being made around here tonight that are starting to get me all pissed off and worried again, like i was for a week after this move.

I've ranted in countless posts about the absolute need for getting our homegrown young hero, how it was beyond just some simple desire for better play, how it had become a biological imperative that was crucial for this teams growth and survival, a rite of passage step that any good franchise has already accomplished.

So i'm not tone deaf to the arguments one bit, it was a VERY odd choice considering what i'd envisioned Reid was trying to do.

But i just wanna win DAMMIT, and hope these new guys somehow make it work.
