Unequivocally.

Looks good. Marvel has earned some credit in my book. I'm going to see anything they put out until they start putting out crap.

There's something very lord of the rings in the style of that trailer. Can't quite put my finger on it.

Sorter 04-29-2013 11:27 PM

I really feel like they gave away too much in the trailer.

Unless they decide to let Natalie live, in which case, the writers are idiots.

I'm keen on seeing this for sure. Just saw Iron Man 3 earlier today, and enjoyed that.

Don't bother. A little funny.

Just a scene between Tony and Banner. Has nothing in it like the other clips that foreshadow or link to anything else.

Let down...

Link... ???

Edit: Nevermind, saw it was played at Comic-Con and just a synopsis posted. Kinda shocked not even camera phone video has leaked and been posted of a few exclusive videos shown there- like they played the first couple of minutes of the final season of Breaking Bads remaining episodes, but again can't find anything posted of it except a write-up... ???

Jarni 07-22-2013 09:29 PM

Finally saw a little advertising for this film while at the theater. It doesn't look too bad. Certainly, it will rivel the likes of this Batman vs Superman film they are coming out with soon.

I haven't seen it but the stuff on IMDB is saying that they were very adamant about preventing recordings of the trailer they showed.

This movie looks exactly like the first one? Probably will pass- wasn't impressed with Thor 1 or Avengers 1.

I miss when movies actually had good stories and acting.

I think he's been the best by far of the Marvel villains. When Hiddleston was cast I was pretty meh but he's done an excellent job...

Halfcan 08-07-2013 10:42 AM

"I promised I would return for you" - of course you did- why else would there be a sequel- not for the money, for the promise.

"I will find a way to save us all" - Thanks Thor!!

It better be amazing CGI to cover for such a lame script-lol

We will hopefully start getting into the huge badass villains.

Thanos - will show up in Guardians of the Galaxy
Ultron - Avengers 2
Galactus - will need Silver Surfer but would kick ass
Annihilus - I am reading the Annihilation comics right now and that dude is bad-ass. Murders billions in the books.

Apparently you struggle to identify good stories and acting, actually...

007 08-07-2013 05:32 PM

This is why The Avengers really ruins these movies. There is no reason for the other Avengers to not come in and help. Especially considering this partially takes place in New York where Stark lives.

You can't tell me that the other heroes just sit back and say, "oh, Thor can handle this. I'll just sit this one out."

Yes, I know the majority of this movie probably takes place on Thor's homeworld but come on. You threaten one of Earth's major cities and none of the other heroes come to its aid? Seriously?

this was one of my peeves with Iron Man 3 too. Apart from it just being a bad movie.

heh, yea you sort of have to ignore that little plot hole.

I guess the Avengers just pick and choose what threat they want to challenge together?

Iron Man 3 I can sort of be ok with because the threat wasn't "Otherworldly". I thnk they even had a throwaway line in there about "SHIELD doesn't deal with terrorists". Or something like that?

But the threat here is obviously from space, so wouldn't they need all hands on deck?

Keep in mind the whole point was that these people didn't get along, didn't like each other, and didn't want to be a team. Only after A1 did some of them start really getting along (Stark/Banner.)

Also Stark is the kind of guy that even if he was your cousin you'd say "well, he had that coming."

Banner tries to avoid trouble. He doesn't trust the government and isn't a team player.

Thor thinks of himself as a God. He isn't going to ask for help and if he did it would be his friends from home.

On top of that Fury only called all these people together because he felt he needed to.

And most importantly every flick can't be A1. In the real world you just can't afford or schedule all these actors in each other's flicks...

Jane really adds nothing to the story other than a reason for Thor to be on Earth. They need to come up with a better one...

For all you loki fans.

Deberg_1990 10-30-2013 05:47 PM

Cool, some 3d theaters will get an extended 5 minute trailer for Captain America 2 next week.

http://www.fandango.com/movieblog/se...er-743237.html

The first day of winter remains December 21. The first extended glimpse of The Winter Soldier, however, will be November 8… when an exclusive tease for Marvel’s Captain America sequel will be attached to Thor: The Dark World once the sequel opens in theaters.

Audiences will get an extended, roughly five-minute look at Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier in 3D when they grab a ticket to Alan Taylor’s Thor sequel. This special engagement, according to the studio, will be available exclusively at 3D screenings of the newest Marvel film throughout its theatrical run.

“After Marvel’s The Avengers, the Marvel films are more interwoven than ever, and this pairing is the perfect complement to both of the new movies,” said Dave Hollis, executive vice president, theatrical distribution, at Walt Disney Studios. “Thor: The Dark World is going to be an exceptional theatergoing experience, and this sneak peek will really rev fans up for the return of not only the Mighty Avenger but the First Avenger as well.”

Marvel fans dialed in to the Captain America trailer when it aired on Fandango last week. The film stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, Cobie Smulders, Frank Grillo, Emily VanCamp and Hayley Atwell, with Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

The tease will only whet your whistle. The complete Marvel sequel opens on April 4, 2014. And make sure that you grab tickets to Thor: The Dark World so that you can catch up with the Asgardian hero… and plug into this advance look at the First Avenger before Cap bounces back into theaters next spring.

CHUCK!!!

Lex Luthor 02-16-2014 07:13 AM

I watched it last night, and I thought it was pretty "meh". I liked the first Thor movie better.

If you're really into nonstop action and large scale epic battle scenes, you'll love it. I like those things as PART of a movie, but not when they are the entire movie.
