Atlanta Falcons' stadium concepts a peek into future

The Atlanta Falcons landed a stadium deal with the Atlanta City Council last month, an agreement that could give the defending NFC South champs a new home as soon as 2017.

It's all very exciting for the franchise. Also excited: 360 Architecture, the company in charge of designing the new stadium.

"Impact Seating" was one of the concepts unveiled by 360 Architecture for the Atlanta Falcons' new stadium. (gwcc.com/)
The firm unveiled some concept designs Tuesday, giving us a sneak peek into the ambition involved in the project. There's a "Demolition Man" vibe running through the slide show. Not a bad thing.

Potential amenities include:

» Impact seating ("Seat tremors at each hit!")
» Football in the round
» The 100-Yard Bar
» Falcons Man Cave
» The Fantasy Football Lounge

I want to live in a world that includes seat tremors. Also, a Falcons Woman Cave.

That would be pretty badass feature. The stadium design looks shitty though.

Are they quarter-operated and do they feature any heart shaped designs? I mean, you have to play to the market (Atlanta...)

CrazyPhuD 04-30-2013 07:57 PM

Do they feel that's going to make more people come?

I am one of the few people that would rather stay home with my huge flat screen and unlimited snacks.

Of course, I have had zero reasons to go to a game since the Vermiel era.......

Deberg_1990 04-30-2013 07:59 PM

Is this like the vibrating seat concept at the movie theaters now?

It's not the same unless you get to piss in a trough at home while someone else is pissing in the sink next to you.

I think this is a desperate attempt to get fans to come back to the stadiums instead of watching it on tv.

There's kind of a problem with this idea. Goodell's NFL doesn't allow any defenders to hit anymore..

I'm... not gonna touch that one. Too easy.

Nightfyre 04-30-2013 08:04 PM

I wouldn't touch those seats either. Just like I wouldn't stay in a hotel room with vibrating heart shaped beds.

Desperate attempt, and also--a not very good attempt. This seems truly very stupid.

Am I the only one who thinks that their new stadium looks like a giant flower?

Dayze 04-30-2013 08:13 PM

Is it going to be a dome? If so it sucks.

Rudy tossed tigger's salad 04-30-2013 08:15 PM

Damn. Can they time the vibrations to big hits? Rumble Pak, baby!

Dayze 04-30-2013 08:17 PM

Even vibrating seats wouldn't bring out our gold level outside.

In58men 04-30-2013 08:27 PM

For those guys with gals who are having a difficult time getting into football makes it much easier now for that gal to get that spectacular finish after every Falcon home game:p These new vibrating seats allow couples to come closer together than ever before.:thumb:
