Don't mess with that shit. You've got a very rare four leaf clover patch ! If you will cut out patchs and take them to lawn & Garden stores you can get over $100 per batch. You're a lucky man. You need to water and fertilize it immediately.

I really don't give a **** about my yard. Weeds, grass, hell it's all the same to me. It's all a Hallmark level scam.

2-4-D will kill it if you work at it. Clover is tough however.

I'd suggest Trimec 2-4-D, it seems to work better than something cheaper like LV400. Trimec has two other salts combined with it, LV400 just has the one.

And don't buy the premixed crap. By a jug of the concentrate and mix it yourself, at a little stronger rate. Then hit it about once a week.

I tend to agree, but I'll get nasty looks from all my neighbors if I don't keep mine looking respectable. I honestly don't understand why we as a society waste so much water and put so many chemicals into the ground just for purdy grass.

Once grass won't come back you have to plant, or sod. Grasses are perennials, but they do have a life span if they aren't allowed to reseed themselves.

Can't really tell from that picture but if the grass is dead in spots bugs are a definite possibility. Up here grubs are our worst enemy. Hit it with some kind of pesticide granual.

R8ers, get a dicamba type product out there. If you can get some, get an ALS inhibitor. Be careful with 2-4D and dicamba. They can volitalize and smoke your trees.

Why wouldn't it? I've killed plenty of clover over the years using it.

Thanks... after further review the 2 4 d is killing the stuff, it's just a small isolated weak are in the lawn that hasn't filled in yet... Its been a very cool spring in NC, we actually had a frost warning but it did not get that cold.
