Bit of info on our 2 hitting coaches:

Andre David had 58 career AB's and hit .245 with 1 HR
Jack Maloof never had a major league AB

These are the guys GMDM and Yost brought in to get this team to hit for power.

Yeah, this is a good one. Pretty sure I could listen to him tell stories all day long.

Not really going out on a limb here: Predicting 5 hits, 1 run, 0BB and 9K's for our supercharged offense. I hope I'm and idiot.

SPATCH 05-27-2013 12:42 PM

Remember when we were shattering offensive records in the cactus league?

****, man.

Does a hurt "quad" mean an oh-for-four???

gblowfish 05-27-2013 12:53 PM

Great...all my St. Louis "pals" are sending me smack emails today. Go ahead, kick the cripple. Big sport in that, eh?

Pepe Silvia 05-27-2013 12:59 PM

Go Cards!!!! Wainy will dominate. ;)

The Kansas City Royals-Spring Training Greatest Franchise of All-Time

Marcellus 05-27-2013 01:03 PM

Little blurb on Yost from Bernie at the Post Dispatch.

* Finally: can someone of sound mind in Kansas City explain why Ned Yost still is managing the Royals? This is absolutely baffling to me. You see the bizarre strategy decisions and nonsensical lineup construction. You see highly touted young players regressing instead of getting better. You see the Royals sinking when they’re supposed to be rising.
And this is a same guy who had a terrific team in Milwaukee but was so awful in leading the team down the stretch that he got fired with 12 games to go. (Remember how easily Tony La Russa goaded and baited Yost into losing his mind during games?) The Brewers elevated Dale Sveum to interim manager with less than two weeks to go; he saved the season and got the Brewers into a wild card spot. Yost is 231-302 as the Royals manager and his team is failing to evolve into what it can be.

SPATCH 05-27-2013 01:18 PM

Raze the entire sports complex to the ground. Start over.

kcjayhawks5 05-27-2013 01:19 PM

Game over...8 pitches into the ****ing game lol. Just put Hoch in. **** it.

TomBarndtsTwin 05-27-2013 01:20 PM

Well, that was a fun game.

Take the rest of the day off, Royals fans. Nothing to see here!

:banghead:

gblowfish 05-27-2013 01:20 PM

Yep, pull Shields, start him tomorrow. Put Hoch in. Let him pitch eight. Let him pitch til his arm falls off. Showcase him for a trade.... we'll take a flat keg of Old Style from the Cubs for him...

gblowfish 05-27-2013 01:21 PM

Jan is built to tow. I wanna smack her bumper.

Goddamnit Alex, quit giving up runners in scoring position. Just slide straight.

petegz28 05-27-2013 01:28 PM

Damn, too bad Alex got popped. That may have tied the game there

Pepe Silvia 05-27-2013 01:28 PM

Damn

KCUnited 05-27-2013 01:28 PM

Butler with a game tying single...oh wait.

petegz28 05-27-2013 01:31 PM

Not mad at Alex for that.

kcjayhawks5 05-27-2013 01:31 PM

****ed ourselves right up the ass the inning. Thanks for breaking hard out of the box Gordon. What? No bubble blowing during the slide into 2nd? **** you.

petegz28 05-27-2013 01:37 PM

Way to swing at a pitch no where close, French

petegz28 05-27-2013 01:38 PM

The pitches thus guy takes compared to the one he swings at boggles the brain

Gee, you think we'll score more than four runs today????

Pasta Little Brioni 05-27-2013 01:57 PM

Nice

petegz28 05-27-2013 01:57 PM

It gets old seeing teams with 1 more hit than us but 3 more runs

BlackHelicopters 05-27-2013 01:57 PM

Might as well be 24 runs

Chief Roundup 05-27-2013 01:57 PM

Come on Geez was there every any real doubt? I mean we are talking about the St. Louis Cardinals, 2cd only to the Yankees in World Series victories, against the Kansas City Royals.

Dude once they scored 2 you knew it was over

DeezNutz 05-27-2013 01:58 PM

Be easy for Shields to mail it in from here, since the loss is all but assured.

This is why we can't have nice things.

BigMeatballDave 05-27-2013 02:02 PM

They're losing?

Shocking.

KCUnited 05-27-2013 02:03 PM

Hud doesn't want offend anyone by using the word attack on Memorial Day, hope he gets an aids plane flown into him.

Deberg_1990 05-27-2013 02:03 PM

4-1 in the 3rd....whelp, this game is over

gblowfish 05-27-2013 02:04 PM

Royals attack: dink......dink..........dink.

Cards attack: BLAM......BLAM.......KABOOM.

gblowfish 05-27-2013 02:05 PM

Dink!

gblowfish 05-27-2013 02:05 PM

Seven hits,
one run.

That's our Royals.

petegz28 05-27-2013 02:06 PM

Wtf , homer is lost

gblowfish 05-27-2013 02:06 PM

And Hosmer could tie this game with one swing of his mighty bat.

Or he could whiff with guys on base as usual.

Wonder which one we'll get???

petegz28 05-27-2013 02:07 PM

Hosmer just swinging at whatever

gblowfish 05-27-2013 02:07 PM

Whee!!!
That's the baseball version of mercy sex!

Lmao

Stanley Nickels 05-27-2013 02:08 PM

What's the Royals' ratio of runs walked in or in by wild pitch, to that of runs actually batted in? If there's a stat for that, the Royals have to be the highest ratio by a wide margin

gblowfish 05-27-2013 02:08 PM

Dink!!!

petegz28 05-27-2013 02:08 PM

I don't think homer swung at 1 strike lol

Pepe Silvia 05-27-2013 02:09 PM

BS, now you guys wanna hit. lol

KCUnited 05-27-2013 02:09 PM

RF playing way too close to the line with Hosmer up.

gblowfish 05-27-2013 02:09 PM

The Royals attack is like having a Yorkie chewing on your boot. It stings, but eventually, the boot just kicks the Yorkie into the bushes.

Pasta Little Brioni 05-27-2013 02:10 PM

Geez. Hrabosky's a dumbass homer. Every run the Cards allow is some cheap, fluke experience in his mind.

gblowfish 05-27-2013 02:10 PM

Don't worry Cards fans. Frenchy never hits when it matters. Ever. He's a master at it.

Pepe Silvia 05-27-2013 02:12 PM

Wow, Descalso did something right.

silver5liter 05-27-2013 02:12 PM

Francoeur has hit with 92 runners on base and knocked in 9 of them

gblowfish 05-27-2013 02:12 PM

And Frenchy Fails Again!
We're so glad he's our starting right fielder.
Mr. Consistency.

BlackHelicopters 05-27-2013 02:13 PM
