The Kansas City Royals-Spring Training Greatest Franchise of All-Time
Little blurb on Yost from Bernie at the Post Dispatch.
* Finally: can someone of sound mind in Kansas City explain why Ned Yost still is managing the Royals? This is absolutely baffling to me. You see the bizarre strategy decisions and nonsensical lineup construction. You see highly touted young players regressing instead of getting better. You see the Royals sinking when they’re supposed to be rising. And this is a same guy who had a terrific team in Milwaukee but was so awful in leading the team down the stretch that he got fired with 12 games to go. (Remember how easily Tony La Russa goaded and baited Yost into losing his mind during games?) The Brewers elevated Dale Sveum to interim manager with less than two weeks to go; he saved the season and got the Brewers into a wild card spot. Yost is 231-302 as the Royals manager and his team is failing to evolve into what it can be. http://www.stltoday.com/sports/colum...1a17879f9.html |
Game over

Hud loves him some Cards.
Royals rubbing off on Shields. |
Game over
Well, **** me running.
Raze the entire sports complex to the ground. Start over.
Game over...8 pitches into the ****ing game lol. Just put Hoch in. **** it.
Well, that was a fun game.
Take the rest of the day off, Royals fans. Nothing to see here! :banghead: |
Yep, pull Shields, start him tomorrow. Put Hoch in. Let him pitch eight. Let him pitch til his arm falls off. Showcase him for a trade.... we'll take a flat keg of Old Style from the Cubs for him...
Jan is built to tow. I wanna smack her bumper.
Just tuned in. Already done.
Shut up Rex

Goddamnit Alex, quit giving up runners in scoring position. Just slide straight.
Damn, too bad Alex got popped. That may have tied the game there
Damn
Butler with a game tying single...oh wait.
Not mad at Alex for that.
****ed ourselves right up the ass the inning. Thanks for breaking hard out of the box Gordon. What? No bubble blowing during the slide into 2nd? **** you.
Way to swing at a pitch no where close, French
The pitches thus guy takes compared to the one he swings at boggles the brain

Gee, you think we'll score more than four runs today????
Nice
It gets old seeing teams with 1 more hit than us but 3 more runs
Might as well be 24 runs
Come on Geez was there every any real doubt? I mean we are talking about the St. Louis Cardinals, 2cd only to the Yankees in World Series victories, against the Kansas City Royals.

Be easy for Shields to mail it in from here, since the loss is all but assured.

Shut up, Hud.

They're losing?
Shocking. |
Hud doesn't want offend anyone by using the word attack on Memorial Day, hope he gets an aids plane flown into him.
4-1 in the 3rd....whelp, this game is over
Royals attack: dink......dink..........dink.
Cards attack: BLAM......BLAM.......KABOOM. |
Dink!
Seven hits,
one run. That's our Royals. |
Wtf , homer is lost
And Hosmer could tie this game with one swing of his mighty bat.
Or he could whiff with guys on base as usual. Wonder which one we'll get??? |
Hosmer just swinging at whatever
Whee!!!
That's the baseball version of mercy sex! |
Quote:
What's the Royals' ratio of runs walked in or in by wild pitch, to that of runs actually batted in? If there's a stat for that, the Royals have to be the highest ratio by a wide margin
Dink!!!
I don't think homer swung at 1 strike lol
BS, now you guys wanna hit. lol
RF playing way too close to the line with Hosmer up.
The Royals attack is like having a Yorkie chewing on your boot. It stings, but eventually, the boot just kicks the Yorkie into the bushes.
Geez. Hrabosky's a dumbass homer. Every run the Cards allow is some cheap, fluke experience in his mind.
Don't worry Cards fans. Frenchy never hits when it matters. Ever. He's a master at it.
Wow, Descalso did something right.
Francoeur has hit with 92 runners on base and knocked in 9 of them
And Frenchy Fails Again!
We're so glad he's our starting right fielder. Mr. Consistency. |
New kinds of suck
