Late night bullshit: a 2014 Chiefs mock. Because **** you.
Assumptions:
1. Chiefs go 8-8, Alex Smith performs about how you expect him to. Chiefs are not interested in replacing him as starter. Don't even argue the point. We know the goddamn truth. 2. Chiefs let Tyson Jackson, Tony Moeaki, and Kendrick Lewis walk. 3. Chiefs sign Terrance Copper, Geoff Schwartz, Husain Abdullah, and Thomas Gafford on 1-year deals. 4. Chiefs sign Albert long-term this offseason. Chiefs sign McCluster to a $12million/5 year deal, and Jon Asamoah to a $20 million/4 year deal. 5. The Chiefs lose their 3rd to the 49ers for Alex Smith. On with the show. 1. NT Daniel McCullers, Tennessee The draft nuts on this site know me by now: I love DL. That's where my heart is, and for mid-1st talent, I think McCullers is a world beater. He is exactly the kind of talent you want at NT, and Dontari Poe makes plenty of sense in this scheme as a DE. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/qc2dzl2rE4I" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> 2. WR DeVante Parker, Louisville The search to pad out the WR corps continues. Parker joins Bowe, Baldwin, McCluster, and Avery as a WR corps trying to discover itself. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/SFxMrkc47vw" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> 4. OLB Walker May, Vanderbilt The Chiefs continue to need depth behind Hali and Houston. They have some hope with Zombo and Catapano, my two favorite backups at the position. But neither is starting material. May adds more competition to the position and provides some starter upside. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/41pGNvGFLMY" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> 5. QB Logan Thomas, Virginia Tech Shut up. Everybody just shut up. There is little reason to believe that the Chiefs are going to be looking for a QB early in this draft, and there's plenty of evidence to suggest that Thomas is in for a big time slide. The upside is that the Chiefs get a huge pocket presense as, hopefully, Bray's emergence makes Chase Daniel expendable. Alex Smith, Tyler Bray, Logan Thomas. A year ago we would have loved that. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/YWmpODR2G9U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> 6. DE Will Clarke, West Virginia Absolute perfect size for the position, and plus athleticism. The Chiefs need more bodies at the DE position, and along with Dontari Poe moving there, the Chiefs must continue investing. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/uLiaFr547Ss" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> 7. RB LaDarius Perkins, Mississippi State More talent at the RB position. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/SFrxwXKbN5g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |

snoozefest

another LT

i have it on good authority from many on this board that the reason for not drafting a QB this year was because we were - for really honestly for realz this time! - going to draft a QB in 2014...
so this draft can rape itself |

God some of you are clueless |
If we go 8-8 we lose our 2nd rounder just fyi

A fullback?
almost as useless, carry on |
Animal sacrifices must be made if people want to have hope for this franchise winning a playoff game before Obama's term ends.

I like you, Direckshun. But with all due respect, you're the one who should ****ing shut up about a QB. The people who told me my fear of "there's always next year" not being good enough rationale for drafting a QB in the 1st this year can go drink a broken glass and arsenic milkshake. |

A QB, but I'll go with your notion of us not replacing him since that's what you're aiming for.
2 words folks: Will Sutton. This 270 lbs monster (he'll be at least 280 by next Spring) is a pass rushing machine with a relentless motor. 13 sacks last year. Enjoy <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/2SbsHVUiKdc" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
And what happened to Bray? Did he impress?

|
Very unexciting. In other words: LIL' CHIEFY LOVES THIS DRAFT!
|
I absolutely love the Parker pick in the 2nd round right now, I'd be very happy with that. The rest, ehh, alright. Not a bad draft.
However, I don't see us letting Lewis walk, nor signing McCluster to a 5 year/12 million contract. I'm on the fence about Moeaki walking, knowing that wherever he goes, he'll be picked up fast and probably end up fairly productive for a TE2 low end TE1. |

Did seem to be improving at the end of last year, and had one eight tackle game. |
Uhhhh.....no
|
I'd like to see us try and jump up and get Maze. Similar to what Atlanta did to get Julio Jones.

Does your cable package only broadcast games from the southeast region of the country?
The players in your mock come from Tennessee, Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, and Mississippi. |
A year ago we would have loved that.
Means jack and shit when discussing the current value of said players. |
